'It smells rotten': Former FBI agent on the death of Brian Laundrie | Rush Hour
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 8 сен 2024
- Remains found in a Florida reserve on Wednesday belonged to Brian Laundrie, his family's lawyer said Thursday.
“Chris and Roberta Laundrie have been informed that the remains found yesterday in the reserve are indeed Brian’s,” Steven Bertolino told NewsNation in a statement. Laundrie was a person of interest in the disappearance of Gabby Petito, 22, who vanished while on a cross-country road trip with Laundrie in a converted camper van.

Don’t forget the parents picked up his car the day after he went hiking which is unusual because how is he supposed to come home?
it was four days later he was already dead by then .. it was storming by then and the car was in his moms name thats why the police called her it was about to be towed .. so they came and picked up the car and she left a note
UBER
@@cm1133 🤣
There was a note inside asking for the car to be taken.
HE WASN’T GOING BACK HOME!!!!!! He was on the run after killing Gabby!!!!!
Its not logical that Brian walked out into the water several hundred feet to kill himself - this whole scenario smells rotten.
I am too think that way....Very sketchy and there still possibility that the remains are not his.
Yep!
Wouldn't be surprised if his parents dumped his body....whether he killed himself or his parents had a part in his death will remain to be learned
He killed himself and a gator dragged him in the water most likely.
Walked out into the water?? WTH you talking about.. he was on a trail that filled with water AFTER he offed himself... he didn’t go into a river .. c’mon
The question bears asking, if the parents did not know what happened to Gabby why go straight to a lawyer? It is not a natural response for a family to act in this manner unless they knew she was dead…
Bingo! that is what the rest of the nation thinks too. Not a natural response for a family to do that.
exactly. too many questions. everyone is trying to hush up this case since the cops dropped the ball so many times and they just want the public to forget it.
Exactly!
Excellent point
They knew he was abusive towards her, had too! They lived with them. Possibly like father, like son? As soon as he showed up without her, I dont think he needed to say anything. They KNEW he killed her. They knew they were in some shit! But, they probably never anticipated it to blow up like it did!!
Something smells fishy...
I'm having my doubts that the body they found was really Brian.
Same
Definitely NOT!
It wasn’t even a body they found. They found some teeth and the piece of a skull they never even confirmed was his. For all we know he could have pulled his teeth out, placed it next to the body of someone else, and write a fake suicide note. Perfect escapade to get out. Theirs already so much proof of his parents hiding him too. I fully believe he’s still alive. And what happened to those string of missing people on that path to gabby? Nothing makes sense
No way he was skeletal. In 20-25 days, plus the dogs searched that area before! He’s alive… in a non extradition country. Parents planted teeth and bones. It’s so obvious
Millions spent looking for him, teams of people searched. Then the parents find his belongings right away. Something is off
The parents LED the police there WEEKS ago but all of the remains and possessions were under water so even cadaver dogs would have been of no help.
Hope TRUE, PAINFUL KARMA comes to the whole DIRTY LAUNDRIE family.
Easy Brian took off to the reserve.. lawyer said his dad went there looking for him .( first time he could have left something to find) then when they went to bring back his car ..second time to leave items ..then when dad alone helped search. That's 3...lots of time to hide things to find later
@@lillybrandy1188 they already paid the price with the dead of their son
The parents should be made to pay the cost of the investigation. If they don’t pay, lock them up until they do. They knew where he was located and they gave the authorities the go-around (a/k/a obstruction).
None of this makes sense. They suddenly showed them where he was. Nope, don't believe any of it.
Same I don’t. Believe it at all I think he’s in South Carolina somewhere fr
@Marsha Hunt Everyone knows that the fbi are one of the most corrupt organizations, so you can't trust anything they say. This whole story has been guided in a direction by his parents and the fbi. They want this story to end, so they are ending it.
@Marsha Hunt The FBI lacks credibility.
Good to see comments are making sense
It's more likely some other victim of his.
Until the manner of death is released I will not believe he killed himself. I think Daddy Dearest smells a little fishy and the fact that he walked right into the woods and immediately picked up Brian's bag doesn't help him look any better.
what are you suggesting?
Just too casual and nonchalant right?
He found his drybag NOT the backpack. The fbi found the backpack Nd skeleton remains shortly after
Brian’s dad took them to that exact location a week or so before. But police say it was under water. The water recently receded.
Brains parents went there as soon as it was open to the public. So yeah. They knew that area was a place their son goes.
@@johnnystorm5981 betcha dimes to dozen he drowned himself or maybe ol daddyo Chris drowned brian for him. Lent a helping had during the greatest time of need ... a drowning murderous hand
They could not find anything for over a month, his parents join search day after the park reopening to the public. Then find his backpack in 10 minutes. That's a little fishy..
That's A LOT fishy.......
But like they said it's to do with the water flow. In the water is snakes, knows what etc. So from that perspective it's not fishy. Its logical but i agree it comes across as fishy. Wild pigs do eat people.
His remains had been under water for weeks though. He would have been found earlier had it not been for that one fact. We don't know if Brian knew it would flood in the area where he killed himself or was killed from other causes. Yeah, it SEEMS fishy, but nature is unpredictable and it was only a matter of time that he'd be found dead or alive.
From the very beginning the story is TOO FISHY , and a "conclusive " ending
@@californiacobra527 hence why LE should have gone back to search once the water receded, they could see it was starting to. They shut down conveniently a day before the water exposed. Doesn't make any sense why they'd stop searching then
It really seems sketchy, imo. One factor is that those cadaver dogs are able to smell odor of deceased body just minutes after death, even if body is submerged under water. This info was from an expert.
They searched that area first. It is possible that Brian at that time was in a different area of the reserve. He then backtracked and then met his demise.
Dogs can't smell underwater and I don't care what the experts said.
@@paullyrenee truth. Im with you.
@@paullyrenee You do know how strong a dogs sense of smell is right? Not only that but water will take on the scent of death...just go to a pond where theres a few dead fish or animal that died getting a drink it will smell rotten even if the dead fish are submerged under water and thats for a human.
@@ILOVEYOUnot417 Dogs can most certainly smell the difference between the scent of death of a human and animal, fish, whatever, and yes underwater.

Like the lady said, try reading some actual science that's not on RUclips.
Maybe if the parents had called the cops on their son, instead of calling a lawyer, he would still be alive
So his parents lawyered up. They shut up and then they found his body? This just looks so wrong. It dont make sense.
@Jane O'Leary it wasn’t a recent death. The remains were skeletal

Him committing suicide doesn't make sense. He came back AFTER STRANGLING HER TO DEATH and ate fkg s'mores with his family on a "fun" camping trip. He had NO remorse, so I doubt seriously that he killed himself. I think the gators got him, drug him underwater and stashed him (that's what alligators do).
HE WAS APPARENTLY KILLED BY HIS PARENTS AND THE MUSTANG WAS PARKED THERE BY THEM OR THEY SENT HIM OUT OF THE COUNTRY OR TO A RELATIVES PLACE.
@@DMor-qj1ie yawn 🥱
ok i like the thought but, if the ENTIRE area was underwater, mile radius+, why didnt brian just walk to an area that was not flooded as it rained? it really just doesnt make sense.
Lol you all are plain old ridiculous
Plenty of suicidal people seem perfectly fine just before they kill themselves. It is very possible that he took that final trip home to see his family one more time.
Brian controlled the whole situation, controlled when Gabby got murdered and now controlled when he killed himself. It's unfortunate that the bastard controlled everything in this case!!!
How do you know that Brian killed Gabby ? Did you see him do it ? Why didn't you tell the police officers ? You saw him killing her why didn't you killed him off and called The police officers ? So where were you month ago ? You are guilty of not saving Gabby ‼️😡You should be facing Jail Time for not helping Gabby ‼️😡 Why did you killed her off ?
Richard Scaggs What is your theory, then? I’m genuinely curious. Do you think him and Gabby got into an argument, she allowed him to leave her in the middle of nowhere and take her vehicle, all of her belongings, use her money and banking information to travel across the country back home, immediately retain a lawyer, refuse to speak to her family, investigators or law enforcement, and then disappear when people start to take notice and question the situation, meanwhile a stranger happened upon Gabby in the wilderness and murdered her for no logical reason? What is the actual likelihood of that? Brian’s actions alone show a guilt of conscience, which is used in jury’s. No, it has not been proven that Brian killed Gabby, but his actions are not that of a concerned, moral partner and there is no good reason to defend him
Eternity is a long time to see his control was out of selfish gain, without a God who frees from all pain.
@@richardscaggs5936 Dude, what's up with that?
Yup, all pre-meditated
I’ll say it for the 100th time , those parents need to be interrogated!!

So cadaver dogs didn't find him but one day there his parents find a notebook, his backpack and some other stuff??? The park was open for the PUBLIC a day before this happened. How fast did the FBI get his dental records???? WHY did they contact a LAWYER so quickly???? Something does not add up. There needs to be MORE information from LE about this. So if this really is that bastard Brian, hopefully he was slowly eaten ALIVE and felt a lot of pain. So now Gabby's parents have absolutely NO CLOSURE!
Heard dogs were going in there but the water was a bit high.. And gaters and snakes in there.. So dogs would not go in.

Took awhile to confirm Gabby’s remains. Takes one day to confirm it was Brian? Seems suspicious
BL is a wanted man by the FBi. It's also possible that he had more identifying dental features that made him easier to ID.
I think they knew more than they said. When they found Gabby the family identified her because of a sweatshirt she was wearing.
Gabby was identified immediately her cause of death took forever
They needed to confirm asap because if it wasnt him then they would have to keep searching for him.
Exactly.
This just seems so strange. They found nothing for a month. His parents show up and find his back pack in 12 minutes. Why didn’t his parents help from day one? They show up now? Sketchy!

It makes me think the Police are staging the whole thing. Maybe the police shot him.
@@karenpinheiro9459 you are right on someone did murder him saved alot on trial
The police had never been down that particular zigzagging trail because it was 4 feet under water until last week. The parents tried to describe the area to police but until they actually were able to lead them in after the water receded was there an opportunity to see the backpack & notebook. A cameraman from the police videoed Dad finding a dry bag & picking it up. The logic you used is called “jumping to conclusions” without considering all factors.

The area was under water and since it receded, it opened up new search areas. Once this happened, they probably wanted the Laundries to ID his favorite campsite [since its dry now] and behold, he was close by.

Rather than have their son face the punishment that would await him they resigned themselves to his decision to take his own life. They probably knew where he would commit suicide and that’s why he was found by them so quickly.

Let us think about what you are writing. If it is the case that they knew where he was going then they wasted tax payer $$$$ for the month long search. Yes this sounds fishy! However, Florida has been 88 degrees and humidity was extremely high so yes a body can turn to bones in Florida in 9 days. He has been gone weeks! Plus think of the snakes and alligators as well.
Charles Cousins That isn’t how identifying remains works. Gabby’s remains were identified almost immediately after she was found by her stepfather who confirmed the clothes on the body were her’s. The remains were confirmed to be Brian’s because they matched the teeth to his dental records. I’m not denying that this entire situation is sus, but an autopsy, cause and manner of death, DNA testing, etc, take weeks, identifying the remains of a highly wanted fugitive does not.
Identifying a body doesn’t typically take long, depending on circumstances. Gabby’s stepdad confirmed that he identified her remains almost immediately after her body was found by the clothes she was wearing. It was and is a highly publicized case, and investigators wanted the family to be notified before the media released anything. Similarly they matched the teeth to Brian’s dental records to confirm the identity in a timely manner. I don’t doubt that there is more to the story than the parents are letting on, but an autopsy, cause and manner of death, DNA testing, etc takes much longer than simply identifying who the body belonged to

Maybe mr alligator or mr water snake got him while he was trying to escape justice.. maybe it wasnt suicide at all… scattered human remains = animal predation! Nature delivered him justice! Meanwhile countless man hours, media blitz & $$$$ went into looking for him while gabbys death was a simple quick blip on the radar of peoples minds… so unfair!
Why would they talk to the Petitos instead of the FBI?
Could they have faked his death? The dental records where altered to match which every bones they dumped there?
yea I saw that on Medium
C'mon
They're ACTUALLY trying to sell this shit???
Right!
Gabby’s family have just had their second trauma event, I feel so much from them ❤️🙏
I totally agree. Talking about kicking someone when they are down.
But if the parents have been to the same area before, why go again, almost like insisting they knew he was there before the water flood…?
In my unsolicited opinion, I think they knew where he was because they were keeping in contact with him. Then when they stopped hearing from him they went to look in the exact location where he last told them where he was. Since the area was apparently flooded, they were unable to still see if he was there/alive.
@Jaime Martos yeah I also thought the same, but I don’t know…it’s so to the point. Straight back to the same location? Yes, what you say also makes sense, but…something is not adding up…
@@KaeBae_ yes they good have also been communicating with him and if so, I hope they find a phone as well…
Right! It's like they purposefully led them right to him. And if that was his favorite area to go and was searched during and after the water receded how was he not found earlier!? What are the odds that the father would find and pick up his sons belongings a few minutes into their search? Everything always comes back to the parents and something is off there.
@@Larissabepressed I'm beginning to believe someone in law enforcement has been helping the family.
Dare I say it……did his parents kill him in the name of “compassion”, then dump him? Maybe they thought it would be better to take his life themselves, rather than him go through a trial, go to jail for the rest of his life and potentially receive the death penalty? We’ll probably never know.
OMG
You are right on except for the part about them doing it out of compassion. They did it out of self interest.
