I live in Portland OR, but If i am ever in your area, i will be stopping in w/o a doubt! Thank you for taking the time to make these Vids! Keep'em coming!!!
so when i bought my ar i didnt know a lot aout them but a lot of people around me did. I bought my ar for about 750 out the door. I then traded and bought pieces i liked based off of other ar-15s i had shot, upper/lower. Grips. Scopes. and of course the trigger job. My point is that if you feel intimidated about simply building an AR, then buy one and go to gun matches or friendly shoots at your local or nearby gun clubs. Talk to other AR owners and hear their opinions as to why they like their set up. You will find out that most owners have several ARs with different setups for say sport or competitive shooting. Here is where it gets cool. Not only are most people more than happy to give you their opinion on their gun, or even discuss what may be best for you. They will usually let you try out a mag or two so you can test it for yourself. And when you feel things and the difference in things you can build your own preference. Then you can go and purchase pieces and customize/rebuild your AR a piece at a time to your own liking. True you spend a little more with the initial purchase. But you get to feel the difference and truly customize your own piece. Want to hear something great.... Before too long, you will be the guy at the shoot or competition showing new shooters or enthusiasts your gun build(s) and why it suits you. You will enjoy watching faces light up as they try out your personal build and you can not only teach them, but learn as you help them devise something a little more suited to that person. Even devise newer builds of your own! Build an AR guys. It is a truly wonderful experience and you will meet some awesome people who will help you in a lot of ways!
What I did= I bought a complete lower with the trigger and stock that I wanted. Then I bulit an upper from scratch. I picked the barrel I wanted, the free-float handguard I wanted, along with a custom charging handle and bcg I wanted. Voila, I got exactly what I wanted.

Nice learned video I am in a different situation in Kalif. I order the cheap grip and muzzle device then I have to lock the stock. I use the old hammerhead grips on every AR along with the same and trigger however I do need to install the 3# spring kit on the latest AR I get the pull down to 2.25-2.50# with moly-z powder.
Also if it's not a colt nowhere you should use a takedown pin tool but if you dont have one you could use a razor blade and for the rear on just use the stock
Man, I wish I lived close to you guys. Having a place to go and talk to someone and build your AR and figure out what you need would be pretty amazing. Thanks for the video and the info! I may make a road trip out there and stay a week for a build!
P.S. buying full kits with FCGs and grips isnt a bad idea.It means you have extra replacement parts or u can use the generic parts later for a truck gun or patrol rifle for your farm for predators?Either way i suggest buying full kits and then still buying your improved trigger ahead of time so when you have all he parts your ready to install all of it and keep those extra parts for a later build of a gun your going to do cheaply enough you dont mind of it gets a bit banged up in the truck.I personally cant have any AR with a barrel less then 16" nor any in a pistol caliber. The only pistol caliber long guns we can have here are of a fixed configuration :>/
This is a great video I know a decent amount about the ar platform and firearms in general but I do like watching videos even about the basics I still learn something everytime even if it's the most simplest of things I always learn. Great informational video!

Hello. Great video. I'm trying to buy my first AR 15 and I'm using your video as reference. My question is, if I like to own a Smith & Wesson M&P15 Sport II Semi-Auto Rifle. Can I buy it by parts to save money or this one I do have to buy it complete? Please give me some tips. The reason why I want that one is because good reviews, low cost, and that I own a M&P 9mm Pistol. Any advice is welcome.

I use the old hammerhead grips on every AR along with the same and trigger however I do need to install the 3# spring kit on the latest AR I get the pull down to 2.25-2.50# with moly-z powder.
The hot topic of ar builders boutiques.
Also if it's not a colt nowhere you should use a takedown pin tool but if you dont have one you could use a razor blade and for the rear on just use the stock
Great video.
Really cool you guys offer help and a bench in store to put together your rifle.
Great video, could you post a shopping list to make it easy for a beginner dude like me😂?
Great that you have a bench in the store!
Could you list the parts shown with prices please?
absolutely the best ar video's on the interweb
Man, I wish I lived close to you guys. Having a place to go and talk to someone and build your AR and figure out what you need would be pretty amazing. Thanks for the video and the info! I may make a road trip out there and stay a week for a build!
Nice presentation. i have curts discount guns here in portland oregon. working on my first ar build and my first purchase was an armors wrench.
Nice i live a couple blocks away from curts on mcloughlin. I've owned several ar15s but im hoping to get my first build going soon.

Spot on information in just the first 2 minutes alone. Glad I found this channel. Keep it up
ATF has notated that shouldering a pistol brace doesn’t make a difference in regulation.
How you hold the firearm doesn’t change the firearm

Miguel Rojas I can read
P.S. buying full kits with FCGs and grips isnt a bad idea.It means you have extra replacement parts or u can use the generic parts later for a truck gun or patrol rifle for your farm for predators?Either way i suggest buying full kits and then still buying your improved trigger ahead of time so when you have all he parts your ready to install all of it and keep those extra parts for a later build of a gun your going to do cheaply enough you dont mind of it gets a bit banged up in the truck.I personally cant have any AR with a barrel less then 16" nor any in a pistol caliber. The only pistol caliber long guns we can have here are of a fixed configuration :>/
Thank you for the video. Just what I have been listening Iooking for. Got my lower receiver now comes the fun part.
By far the best step by step guide for building an ar-15.
Great video. I will start making my list after I pick a color.
This really helped a lot. Been years since I owned an AR and would really like to build my own. Salute!
You can most def shoulder an ar pistol. They make adjustable pistol braces now.

This is a great video I know a decent amount about the ar platform and firearms in general but I do like watching videos even about the basics I still learn something everytime even if it's the most simplest of things I always learn. Great informational video!
Thanks for the build and explanation!
Kinda funny I find your channel a week after I seen your shop driving to my buddies Airgun shop down the street from you. Shop looked great from the outside. I'll stop in in May when I'm back in town for some Chizzler shooting. Great video btw...been watching a ton of AR build videos.

Very nice video. I'm getting my first AR and want to build it with a 80% lower and this is extremely helpful.
Great information. If your store was in NC I would support you.
Great attitude and allowing people who are scared of guns to gain that forced knowledge. SUBSCRIBED!
Excellent video!!! Outstanding, outstanding, outstanding!!!! Thank you.
Thanks for putting this video together. If I'm done in that area, I'd love to visit the shop.
