Back in the early 80’s my farther and my self had a self loading logging truck that was built pretty rugged. It specked at 96000 pounds for just a 4 axel truck. The land owner was putting a big culvert in a brook and he wanted to push us across the culvert in unpacked gravel. When he pushed on the back of our truck it made the truck steer in the opposite direction that he wanted us to go in and push the front of our truck down into the brook. It’s a good thing that he had a cat D8 to pull us back out again. The truck went better on the second try under its own power. O well I think it pushed about ten yards of gravel into the brook which he was trying to avoid on the first attempted crossing. L. O. L.

The struggles are real .
Now that's funny!!
Hey brother we’re in a deep freeze here to. Expecting snow ❄️ Monday night here. That’s hard on a motor now but it has to start.

The guy running th dozer must have been drunk. It was all over the road, wandering around like a lost child.
He was turning to break the ice crust but the driver is crazy though

Freeze came quick
Put some gripper's on those cats

badass
You wouldn't believe how well a skidder would pull if you ran ring chains on them.
I wouldn’t!
Why you don't use all wheel drive trucks, much better for off road driving and winter
Hello chipper guy. I sharpen chipper knives. I can make them razor sharp without heating them up and taking the temper out of them.
We have our own grinder. Thanks tho!
Ok no problem. I don’t grind them.
Fantastic camera angle, great video...
Thanks for watching

Hey John
Oh yeah he’s gone now
Skidder chains??
Where??
Winter in the north woods
How come truck drivers never put chains on. Chains on truck would have saved a lot of time.
Don't think they can use chains in that state
@@phillipsaunders8062 I could understand on the pavement. But that's a dirt road and they drove a dozer up it.
No tire chains in Michigan. You aren't on dirt roads long enough to warrant chaining
@@shaunmckenna9521 in that instance it would have been
Taking care of business in the real world.
Gee that's a shitty little load of wood at 5:45.
chains -- they are called chains -- you put them on your drive axles
