No they didn’t they just made them compatible with Xbox One and PS4. Those were not remastered versions, they were the same games.

Even if the texture in the background are not as beautiful as the background of other mods . I think in my opinion that this stage mod is the most beautiful stage mod in generation cause of the gorgeous view and the water !
This is the metropolis zone we needed in sonic forces. Not a generic cityscape filled with a chalk white void.

I just realized that this is the Mario and Sonic at the London 2012 Olympics mix which is so much better than the OG track.

A few more touch ups, some terrain edits to match the textures to make it look more 3D, maybe some more lighting and we're good

the speed boosters makin the turns for ya make the stage too autopilot.
required drifting would have made the stage much more involved.
enemies also dont react or attack as fast as they did in heroes, the creator might wanna speed them up a bit.
I mean, this is a nice looking port of a level, but it suffers from what most level ports do.
Barely anything was done to adapt the previous games level. Design to sonic generations so it's just sorta boring looking
