I just hope they'll make some minor adjustments to the spellslinger mechanics at some point to make it feel less oversaturated with procs. Frost procs barely even feel satisfying to get anymore because of how many of them you get plus how much they overlap with each other. So many FoF and WC procs that all overlap. The fact that even spells like GS & piss beam are barely worth using during CDs even after them getting a 15%+ buff just shows how much of a failed design Frost has become.
But I feel like I'm alone with this opinion. I prefer MoP-WoD style proc gameplay where you still cast a fair amount and where gaining a FoF & Brain Freeze proc actually felt really satisfying because it happened less frequently. The more often something happens, the less special it feels. And Frost (Fire too) has reached that point big time where none of the procs feel FUN anymore and instead feel like a necessity.

honestly frostfire is probably not much of a loss if you arent playing spellslinger well, so stick to it haha.

If they're promoting GS so much ,at least let us have the Glacial aoe splash dmg that we had in DF :__: , otherwise our only playable build really clashes with Spellsinger Hero Tree
Spellslinger is growing on me. It's nice to have 4 orbs out.
I hope they buff the FrostFire hero talents and play around casting frostfire bolt, If they could bring back the 2% damage spell insead of 1% which is really bad. They did nerf it on the beta and now the spec is bad performing in PVE. The visual of this spec is so cool hope it can be good performing again
I stubbornly still hold the opinion that FF is not that behind SS, and a lot of SS is sim bait. Will be curious to see how logs progress in the next ~2 weeks. Agreed that Fire is sleeper and just suffering from coming out of launch very weak

@@Manather yea thats the thing, i play frostfire in open world, and sunfury arcane in group content, and i love arcane, but i also love frost , but spellslinger seems so dumb to play with the weak aura and ice lance spam 🥴

lol no way near close. Arcane is still playing another game altogether compared to the other 2, and if the trend continues even Fire is going to be better than Frost soon lmao. Blizzard need to take their balls into their hands and either bring a REALLY BIG buff to Fire & Frost or bring a huge nerf to Arcane and not tiny nerfs that practically don't affect anything.
Frost if played really well is competitive or stronger than arcane atm in ST. However it is a bit tough to play Frost at that level. Sounds silly, but its true. And spellslinger only excels when you properly utilize its winters chill refreshes. Which is how frost can be essentially at the bottom of the warcraft logs statistics, but still present in the top 50 mages of every fight.
@@Manather --- To me it just feels like the game engine isn't made for Spellslinger Forst because I genuinely feel like there is a micro-delay between your ice lances when you have over 120% haste or more. Feels like you're using 8 or 9 ice lances when on paper you should be using 10 even while spamming the shit out of it and pressing the key as fast as you physically can. Doesn't feel fluid at all sometimes. And yeah I agree that in single target you can pump very good numbers even in relation to Arcane but for that to happen basically every planet in the solar system needs to align and you need to get procs after procs after procs and a good bunch of frozen orbs on the target at all times and all other kinds of shit when Arcane doesn't require this level of RNG. Some fights you don't need to cast Frostbolt a single time and some fights it feels like you've wasted 30 to 50% of the fight casting frostbolts and it just feels horrible to play. And even after all of that, if the exact same player plays a very good Frost mage AND Arcane mage then in 9 out of 10 scenarios I'm pretty sure he's going to perform better with Arcane.
Frost really needs some other forms of buff instead of just buffing the 2 last resort spells after everything has failed such as Glacial Spike & Ray of Forst ... And what's coming with the 0.5 patch and Splinterstorm changes feels like Forst mage is going in the opposite direction ...
People, question. If spellslinger is basically using orb + ice lances, doesnt make haste completely useless aside global cd reduction? If everything is instant cast, crit and mastery are way more relevant for m+, or am I missing something?
Haste lows gcd and its multiplied by icy veins + everything ticks faster orb blizz etc
