- I show you how I replace wind damaged asphalt shingles. These shingles seem to have a defect that has prevented them from sticking together and allowing wind to bend up the tabs and break them off.

Man of all trades..great video
Thank you! Jack of all trades, master of none 😁
Good job...
Thank you.
ive got about 35 to replace my roof is getting really thin but I dont want to pay 50 grand for a job that should be $20 k at most for a whole roof
All prices have gotten out of hand but especially roofing. You shouldn't have to take a loan for a roof.
I was hoping to see a more detailed video on replacing the shingle underneath the ridge cap shingles because it's hard to find videos about that. Anyone got any tips or links to such a video?
I’m not an expert in tiles but because they are rigid, you might have to remove the ridge all the way from one end back to where the repair is.
@@TheLawnEngineer , edit...shingle, not tile.😁
@@veeforteeto5976 oh ok. You have to remove the nails from the ridge shingles on the side you are repairing. Unfortunately you have to peel the apart a bit to get at the nail, then they don’t want to seal back down. Probably best to remove the section of ridge and put new ones down . And use some tar to seal the ends of the section.
The one part I needed most to help me with my roof was the shingles at the ridge cap that you replaced. Yep, you fast forwarded right through that area you did. LOL SMH
Sorry man.
What is that shingle
It's a 3 Tab Roofing Shingle. It use to be the standard asphalt shingle before architectural took over.
You said doing the repair at the top was the hardest. Then you speed up the video instead of showing us how to do it. Not helpful.
It’s the same procedure, there were just more nails to pull.
