@@MrKistel This morning I fixed my roof. One of the contractor actually messed up the setup when they ripped one out for sample. Because of you, I saved 600$ to $850$. Thank you 🙏 !
Thanks. Perfect! I like how you show all the detail where the nails are located! * What happens it you have a shingle need replace on the ridge vents? Thanks. I’ll climb my roof in a few hours when it’s warmer. I’ve NEVER DONE THIS AND MY THOUGHTS ARE RUNNING WILD AND CRAZY WITH WHAT IFS SITUATIONS😊😂. Prayer 🙏
Even though my Dad has the prior knowledge to help me with this, I still like to watch the videos for myself. I have a larger section that needs patching, wood repair, and thankfully the old owners left behind a bunch of the shingles in the garage. Hoping for a good match afterward! Thought about getting some roof cleaner to bring the old ones back to life a little, and with a little luck, you'll never know anything was patched
WOW! My Late Dad used to DIY shingles, before he got Older. ME?? I'm a Wuss. I don't like heights (even on a one-story, low-pitch ranch house.) But, Also, I had NO idea there was So much involved!. I've been meaning to have a Dimensional roof put in, but the contractors ran out of time this year. Those roofs last a LONG time, and it would be a selling point for my house.
got about 35-40 shingles to do do needs a whole new roof shingle are wore mighty thin but im not paying 3 times what its worth the Migrants who actually do the work aren't paid anything the contractor and material supplier are making the $$ a $12 k job is probably close to 40 now ill just replace as the wind breaks them off bundle is about 30 bucks and some blackjack maybe ill sell out to someone who wants to do a bunch of work I would rather fish (yes im retired )
For those who aren't roofers and don't know how to walk on a roof I think you're leading down the wrong path. I believe you should at least mention harness, retractable, or rope , lockdown plate screwed to roof.
This is the most easy to understand roof repair I’ve watched so far. Thank you:)!
Great to hear!
