Probably Steve Morse's finest moment in Deep Purple from whom he has just departed after 28 years due to health of his wife who is dying of cancer.God bless this modest supremely talented humble man and his wife Janine as they face the challenges of her illness together.XXXX
I met Steve 2004 when he was doing Living Loud in Oztraya. Hard to find a more humble person. One of the greatest Guitar Players of our time and a decent human. Truly sad about Janine.
i dont mean to be so offtopic but does anyone know of a tool to get back into an instagram account..? I was dumb forgot the password. I appreciate any tips you can give me.
The solo in this song, specifically in this show, is the most perfect thing in the world, I remember the first time I heard it, I cried, simply wonderful, Steve Morse is excellent!
So I can say about Piotr Grudzinski's final solo at Second Life Syndrome from 12:40 to end-> ruclips.net/video/QLhLKLLJOnA/видео.html Sometimes it brings me wet eyes.
Morse is a deity. And I say that as a huge Blackmore fan. I often think that the sign of how much a band valued a departing member is who they choose to replace him. Choosing Morse was the highest possible compliment.
Years ago Steve toured with Al Dimeola, John McLaughlin, and Paco DeLucia. A friend and I went to a concert. Who do you think we both agreed was the best? You guessed it....Steve Morse!
Meu Deus do céu...
God bless you Steve Morse. You have made so many smile. This song is definitely one of your high marks, the extremely tasty solo is a gift to all of us your fans in addition to all the Deep Purple fans! Thanks for posting this masterpiece guitar work.
+Tracy Eaves Steve Morse is great but you won't find his works among the top 10 guitar solos of all time for a reason. nevertheless i love every live performance of "Sometimes I Feel Like Screaming" because a) i love this song, b) Steve Morse's solos are unique for every live performance and it is an absolute pleasure to listen to every one of them.
Steve Morse was by Kansas so good, before I have no understand he go to Deep Purple ( a other sound) but I have Steve see by Deep Purple and I have say wow ( Iam Kansas and Deep Purple Fan) ... Steve Morse was a new inspiration for Deep Purple - for old "conservative" DP Fans no so good ... this oldtimers was more freaks of Blackmore ...
When this guitar starts, I get chills down my spine, so many feelings come back at once, I downloaded these first sequences as a ringtone on my cell phone and every time one of my daughters calls, this melody sounds and I know that something is going on is special.❤
Be well Steve M ...from a Seabee who saw and partied with you at MCAS Iwakuni JP 1986 ..Thanks for the USO show all of you folks did .. and man did you rock. I hope sipping on a well made singapore sling will bring a smile to your face .....
That is my childhood friend - Steve Morse. When I was 12 I ran away from home and moved into his bedroom. Even then he walked around with a guitar around his neck when he went down for breakfast and his hands were busy.... He played rock but had classical guitar training - when he went back to rock they cried..
Who's watching till today? One of the best guitar melody by Steve, keyboard by Jon, vocal by Ian and salute to the orchestra team. Best performance. Feels like in a different realm.
Well, I think that this is one of the best steve morse' solos ever; clean, well structured, warm and inspired, and that double-time bending...WOW! I really love this song...
Jon Lord was the man. He was a huge influence on my playing. My heart broke first when he left the band & then when he died. Losing Keith Emerson & Chris Squire was devastating too. I'm so glad their music lives on. Emerson had it right: Ars Longa, Vita Brevis.
@2:12 Steve forgot to switch to the clean channel for just one second I love it when guitar gods of his caliber show their human side... makes them even more incredible! :)
Sometimes I Feel Like Screaming (LIVE 1999 LONDON) Deep Purple 1999 (Mark VI): Jon Lord - Organ, Keyboards Steve Morse - Guitar Ian Gillan - Vocals Ian Paice - Drums Roger Glover - Bass
Steve Morse makes the guitar absolutely sing when playing sometimes I feel like screening and Ian Gillan has one of the most recognized voices ever and at 60 something DP simply just get even better with TIME
This performance is much better than the studio version and these solo parts are a real miracle. It can be said that this song has never been performed like this.
Is it a crime to listen to this song all day long ? :) This is my absolute favorite Deep Purple song. Steve Morse is nothing short of legendary and his technique and tonality only elevate this song more. The vocals, the piano interludes, and the guitar solo all just hit the spot. I wish we could have music like this in today's day and age... wishful thinking. Until then, I'll soothe my soul with this song...
Wunderbarer Song. Danke, Steve. The Guitar playing is breathtaking and gives me the feeling of weightlessness.
Probably Steve Morse's finest moment in Deep Purple from whom he has just departed after 28 years due to health of his wife who is dying of cancer.God bless this modest supremely talented humble man and his wife Janine as they face the challenges of her illness together.XXXX
Amazing solo

I agree. Whenever I'm not feeling well, I play that guitar and feel better immediately.
The solo in this song, specifically in this show, is the most perfect thing in the world, I remember the first time I heard it, I cried, simply wonderful, Steve Morse is excellent!
Listen Piotr Grudzinski's final solo at Riverside's 'Second Life Syndrome'.
If Steve Morse's guitar playing doesn't bring a lump to your throat you are dead inside.
Perfect comment
He is one of the best in world.. & perhaps underrated

I love so much Ritchie Blackmore, but Steve Morse is also incredible! Deep Purple are the kings of the live performances!
It did to me in the SMB in 1985, then a guitar clinic.... and Ive been a fan ever since
Van halen too!

Long live to Purple 💜💜💜💜💜
Steve Morse is my favorite guitarist. This solo makes me find peace.
Very well said, indeed!

Steve Morse is soooo good! His two albums with Kansas are in my top 10...
I hear you; my heart soars, especially during the final two minutes.

The flavor he add in his riff is like no other. This is art at its best. I've listened to this song 228 times this year alone. I keep count.
