Alonso was right on about so many comedies consisting of funny people being put in front of the camera and just allowed to improvise films into the dirt, so to speak. Just because an actor is funny doesn't mean they can drive a feature length film without direction or a plot. I'm interested in seeing Game Night now.
Just got back. This movie totally lives up to the hype! Whenever "Meth Damon" is on screen it's movie magic. Smartest written and funniest comedy i've seen in 10 years.
I've always been a Jason Bateman fan but somewhere in the periphery. After watching Ozarks I realised how much I like him. He is such a professional and he picks really good roles. I don't think he gets enough credit.
I think Jason Bateman is a phenomenal actor. Even if the movie completely blows he's still great. And I loved him in Disconnect (amazing movie) one of the first "serious" roles I've ever seen him in and he nailed that too. Can't wait for this one!
Watch him in Netflix's Ozark! Besides Jason Bateman (who I usually like in almost everything) there is Laura Linney as his wife. She usually grates on me (it's an irrational hatred, cuz I think she's a good actress). But in Ozark the two are so unlikable and horrible that they are fantastic!

There goes my movie budget. I am re-seeing Black Panther plus going to see Game Night and Annihilation. I have to see Annihilation as I read the book and NEED to see if the images in my head made it onscreen.

YES!!! I absolutely loved this movie! I started this movie thinking it was gonna suck, but it was the complete opposite... blew me away. I just watched it for the 5th time a few minutes ago, and I still laughed my ass off. 😆
this movie was a ton of fun. really great camera angles, a story that knew exactly what it was, and a cast of phenomenal comedic actors/actresses. definitely go watch it

This movie was so funny and I loved the relationship between Jason Bateman and Rachel Mcaddams. One bad thing about the movie is that I legit can’t tell you the character’s names but that’s a minor thing.

Saw it last night with a friend. It’s not perfect but I laughed a lot and had a great time. Crazy well paced and super entertaining. It’s my favorite movie of the three I’ve seen this year and I definitely recommend it.
this movie is hilarious and also has a fun single shot longtake i did not expect and is a pseudo Friday Night Lights reunion, but WHERE IS THE ANNIHILATION REVIEW?!
Just seen it. Had some gross out humor in it but also a lot of dead pan stuff from Meth Damon that was good to watch. A pretty simple plot that gets a bit messy towards the end but it even had some decent action. Bateman and McAdams are really good together as a couple. Billy Magnussen seems to play an idiot really well lol.
Once again you guys are overhyping an above average movie and you underhype some of the great ones. You did the same thing with Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle. This movie was a blast but it’s a 7.5 at best. Maybe an 8 and that’s like grading it on a curve.
