I have the gladiator Rubicon diesel and I actually towed a trailer with the car in the back and and I was doing 19 miles to the gallon and normally without towing I get about 25 to 26 miles to the gallon depending how I drive it so I recommend the diesel for anybody that wants a truck with good gas mileage
Awesome! Do you think the Willy’s diesel gets the same gas mileage? I won’t be towing and only city drive. What kind of mileage do you think I’ll get with normal driving?
@@Thejikarim I bought a Gladiator Willys Diesel and it is wonderful to drive. I have had a 1996 Chevy 6.5 liter turbo diesel and later a Chevy 2016 2500HD Duramax.
Sounds like you're not happy with too many things about your Gladiator Willys...maybe a different model Gladiator would have been better. Or, maybe not even a Gladiator at all. I have none of those complaints about my Gladiator Rubicon (V6 gas, did NOT want diesel) -- it's pretty much what I wanted right out of the box, as-is from the factory. Will be keeping it stock (no lift, larger tires, etc, things most people do). Yeah there are a few minor things I'd prefer, but nothing worth mentioning or doing a video about. It's fun to drive every time I get in it and anywhere I'm going -- off-road, around town, or a long trip on the Interstate. :-) No complaints here...except the MPG numbers but I knew that right up front, as a "serious" 4x4 vehicle (lifted/large tires, no front air dam) just doesn't get great MPG -- none of them do. But I get very decent MPG on the freeway, and City MPG has gone up a bit at ~2600 miles on the odometer presently). And with the Gladiator (and Wrangler), we can add their "antiquated design" to the mix: A mostly vertical box on wheels -- not very aerodynamic for sure. But that's fine with me, because for MY needs I can't think of a BETTER choice than my Gladiator Rubicon (especially here in Colorado), even though in this MID-size truck segment, there are HARDLY ANY choices for a serious 4x4 on-road/off-road truck! For me, there were ONLY two: The Gladiator and Chevy Colorado ZR2. And no, I didn't want a FULL-size truck (Raptor, Power Wagon, TRX, etc.) or else I would have gotten one. ;-) As for Gladiators trim-level & performance-wise, there were ONLY TWO I considered (worth) getting: Rubicon and Mojave. Were I still living in West Texas desert area (ELP) I'd likely have gotten the Mojave. But up here in Colorado, the Rubicon is more "appropriate." ;-) I usually say "Happy Gladiator-ing" to other Gladiator owners...but from your "depressing" video, I don't think you really enjoy yours (so I won't). -- BR
Didn’t you research this vehicle before you purchased it. I love mine and the problems you talked about don’t really exist on my 2021 Willy’s Gladiator.
Windshield wiper speed isn’t a thing. If you think you need fast you need clean the windows. As you eventually mention If you don’t like rainx… you didn’t do it right
Rain sensor is available just had to get the package also just wax your windshield will help for bugs and rain. I have the 2021 high altitude loaded rain sensors and all I love it very comfortable ride and I get 25 mpg which is amazing.
That's all good and well but keep in mind where he lives. A paperclip would nearly be enough between Houston and Dallas. If the radio doesn't tune the station well it's probably because it's desensitized due to the overwhelming megawatt transmitters major metros all have. A worse antenna actually could help in that case. That said, no clue how close he lives to either metro but judging by that clearing in the trees behind a concrete wall, what looked like either a regional/international airport or a budding new subdivision not yet built, I'd say not that far.
I had 8.4 in my grand cherokee. and the offroad page was useless cause as ssoon as you need to check something else the page has to be reloaded again and it takes time. it is cool but disapointing anyway. you get a GPS that sucks compared to google map so also never used it from 2018 to 2024 lol. Google car play better. scren was bogger but back up cam was bad comprared to my gladiator. gladiator has everything in the middle console all you need seriously. 8.4 gave me wifi but shared plan with my phone plan. that i can do with my phone dirrectly.
Is your gladiator a six speed? I thought only the manual transmissions gladiators were 4000 pounds? If you didn’t get any tow package maybe then it’s limited to 3500 or 4000? In that case 5 out of 7 of your hate about your truck was choice. The antenna and the dead pedal.
The Willys trim was not available in 2020. It’s a 2021 package. With the Willys package , you can only get a Tow Package, not a Max Tow Package. I’d recommend checking your Monroney Label and if you don’t see 4.10 gears, that there’s no way you have Max Tow.
@@Joshu796 What's the transmission got to do with it? Besides his is an automatic. Obvi jk I mean the joke. Clearly the truck's a JT Okay I'll shut up now.
You should probably trade that in for a Toyota Tacoma. You are definitely not cut out for the "Jeep" life.
You can tow up to 6,000 lbs with the Willys auto trans tow package (not the manual trans).
That wood fence in the backyard goes on forever. The maintenance on that will be expensive.

Towing a T@G XL Boondock behind my 2019 Colorado Z71 I get 17 MPG, without trailer it's about 23.
Great trucks! I love mine. The only thing I hate is the halos don’t shut off, and the start stop nonsense
