Yeah, Chevy hit on a classic design with those models, and didn't even know it. When I bought mine new in '05 I didn't know it either. I thought it was kind of funny looking with those cat eye headlights. But now I can appreciate the look. Mine is just a short bed regular cab with the five speed stick, totally stock and still looks almost new. These old trucks last forever too, I've never had any major problems with it.
Love the truck, personally I have a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 regcab longbox 4x4 with a 5in bds lift and 20x10 rc rims on 33x10 bf Goodwrinch tires
Just got bigger keys cranked 2 inches up, I recommend doing Kryptonite control arms with ball joints, I also did new sway bar links and tie rods to be safe. My wheels are 22x12 with a 33 inch tire
i got those headlights but the adjustment screw seems to be missing. is yours this way as well? Im blasting oncoming traffic with the LEDS to the face...
Are you thinking about getting wides, maybe a lift too other than that dope truck I love cat eyes so much I’m planning on buying a used one when I’m 18
I’ve got wides they just aren’t on right now, I’ve considered a little maybe 4 inch lift or less but I’m pretty happy with the level kit and I think I’ll be going the performance route going forward
They are terrible in the rain (not safe going over like 80) and wouldn’t try em in the snow, also terrible for off-road. Only good for street performance that’s about it and my trucks not even close to fast so they really just are for the looks

i have my own same model in red but im scared to upgrade it because its so rusted and on the wheel is so rusted the metal is easily bending and some rust is falling off💀
@@cateye_central6395I’m pretty sure I have the same color on my 04, the dark spiral grey metallic. It’s a beautiful color but definitely looks lighter or darker depending on the lighting. Your truck looks blacker than mine, probably cuz of the lighting though. I’ve been wanting to do some customization as well
A shop in Brighton Colorado, it blew up a month after he put it in so he put another one in, I only used them again because they did it for free. it’s supposedly built with billet internals and clutches so I don’t get it, they said it should be fine around 800hp so I’ll just have to wait and see if it holds up to that. Wouldn’t recommend them lol.
I ordered the biggest size I thought would fit lol, a little trimming on a bumper ain’t a big deal if it means running a slightly larger wheel. That’s just how we do it lol.

Sick looking truck. When you took the side moldings off, how did you get the oxidation off?
I used a 3m brand rubber wheel and kept it cool with water, got rid of sun but in some lighting you can see a square of where it was
