As said friend that made the mistake of buying a ball joint press PLEASE DONT😭😭 I've already done about a dozen ball joints this year I don't wanna do any more.
Im that guy with the press. All my parts stores within 30 miles had rented theirs out and needed it urgently so i just went to harbor freight and bought one. Its nice to have my own because i can use it whenever and i frequently weld on it for certain situations and just grund the welds off when im done
Multi thumbs up on the Bedrug liner. Had one in my last truck, moved a used Mustang motor that leaked gas oil and antifreeze. Didn't get to cleaning it for a few days, and when I did I sprayed it down with degreaser, power washed the liner and it was like nothing had ever leaked onto it. First thing I got when I bought a new truck. Second was an Access roll-up bed cover.
I understand the Sponser thing but I would have gone with Weather Tech on both the Floor Mats and the vents. We love them. They're tough as nails and we're in Iowa winter is well the Coldest time of year to say the least. They get everything . Just traps it and keeps it till you can dump it. They don't move because they lock in place and laser fitted for a spot on perfect fit. Under 200 for a complete set. Great videos can't wait to see the last thing you do to it.
The pad under that carpet is going to rust that bed out horribly if you don't get a shell over that bed to keep the water off of it. They are not ment to be out in the elements.
My '08 2500 had a bed Rug, so glad I put it in. I took it out a couple years ago for the first time to blow out all the sand that accumulated. Bed looked just as new as the day I bought it. You can put slits in the rug where your tie downs are. I had the tie down management system in mine so wasn't a need for me !!!⚓️
There was a Bedrug in my truck when I bought it used. Came with a trifold tonneuu cover. I ripped that Bedrug out cause it stunk badly! Good thing I did, cause I found bed liner already laid down on my bed which was a plus!
I don’t have to buy one I still own mine and going strong for almost 2 decades! Cat eye is the best Silverado ever made. Mines spiral gray metallic so almost black. Black smoke tail lights, new led headlights, 3” leveling kit, billet grill insert, bull bar, wheels and larger tires made my old gal look like a brand new to me truck.
Nice truck! I somewhat recently got a 04 2500hd for 6800 bucks, unfortunately it's only 2wd but I got it with 83k miles but it's super clean and it came with 5th wheel rails and a reese 16k hitch, shes a extended cab long bed and has the 6.0. Still a great truck even being basic!
@@jasonlarsen3515 I had Weathertech mats in my 2013 F-150 for 5 years. They held up very well and the fit was amazing, beginning until I traded it 5 years later.

This is wild. I've posted about my 05 Silverado. Mine is the base model. No carpeting. All rubber flooring. I have a cap on it. But also sprayed rubber bed liner.
What this guy actually payed 10k for this truck?! Was this recent or some years ago? I’m just curious/concerned because i have the same exact truck in very similar condition, I bought mine 5 years ago with 90k miles on it. And I only payed $2,300...
Should not have called the BedRug a carpet like material. Seems to have led to some misunderstanding. Did not help that they call the product a rug. The material is not a stranded fiber carpet. It is a molded contoured foam with a rubberized and fiber reinforced coating. Makes it strong and soft for comfortable crawling while also being strong and relatively waterproof. Just finished an install in my truck this afternoon.
I have a picture of RV I want to get your opinion on but cant post it. The RV has a slide kitchen but it's not the normal slide it's a outside full size slide.
Bed carpet is cool and all but a complete pain in the ass if you actually put shit in it. Such as mulch or dirt needed around the house. Anything and everything will get caught in it. Much rather get the plastic liner or spray in bed liner.
Yall are crazy if you think you can find a 100,000 mile z71 for less than 10k easily if at all ..at least here in texas in fact there are only 20 with less than 150,000 within 200 miles of me (which includes dallas) on autotrader right now and they are all 9500 to 11,500 depending on how close to 150 it is
I want a big truck for the truck camper w/ triple slides and a small or big enough caboose trailer for extra water , fuel , ext. that will be able to go most places a traditional camper can’t.
Tbh the bed rug doesn’t sound like a terrible idea I’m trying to look at it positively and it makes me think about taking my girl out and looking at stars it’d be nice to have that, just so it isn’t uncomfortable to just sit or lay down in it but then again I would have to get a cover for rain

Not a fan of the tailgate portion of the bedrug being connected to the actual bed liner. Would make more sense to at least have the zipper connection that the side walls do, to facilitate tailgate removal. Other than that they're pretty cool.
Just an idea. Uppal raptor liner. I believe is $130 for one kid to do the entire back of the bed. From what I've seen and heard in the reviews high quality bed liner.

Seems like the center section of that rear floor mat should have been designed to drop over rather than under the right side. On the off chance something wet rolls off the center to the right, it would get to the carpet. Wouldn't it?
The upgrades look good my thing about the bed rug is how hard is it going to be to get mud, rocks and sand outta it after a truck load that is now been left in it over night and a rain. Remember not everyone has a trailer or anything else to haul things in. Or what about firewood

i personally dont like bed rugs. I dont know why i just really dont like it. Cant deny its a good product though
@KelMaster Construction I have a wedge aluminum topper with boxes on the side and a rack. I really dig the bedrug with that setup for work
Had one in my ranger it was hell to clean especially with stuff like saw dust
Yeah fr an idk man look kinda like grandpa truck with that should have went with a liner but it's your truck your money an this is america
Imagine trying to get deer blood out of a damn bed rug
Exactly what i was thinking.
You can skin em at the spot and put the meat in Walmart bought container. This will reduce the chances of looking like a target for cops on the road
Yeah, deer
They rinse out with a hose, it's not carpet.
@@RicardoHernandez-rf9qf do people really believe that? If so I’ll just put a real tree sticker on my truck and call it deer blood.

Question on the bedrug, how is it for hauling bark dust?
Its a pickup. Not a house. Can't haul dirt or rock with this thing...
Exactly
Guy H. It’s called plastic for a reason
The rubber matts inside would be cool
Why can’t you haul dirt or rock because of the Bed rug? Do share you insight on the topic.
although he didn’t do this in the video, turning a used truck into a camper or a recreational living situation is a totally valid way to use a truck.

To me it's worth the money to do a spray-in liner. At $500, its permanent, durable, and won't wear out

soooo my question would be, how does it drain?
Your bed has drain paths up near the cab, bed rugs aren't solid. They are porous so the water just drains thru it.
You should have put the old floor mats on the new ones to show how much larger the new ones are.
