  • In today's video, Eddie and I remove the automatic transmission in his MK4 Supra so that we can mount it on to an engine stand in preparation for the new turbo goodies. In addition to that, we sourced a secondhand lift for $800, learning as we go with taking each of the two posts down and hauling it back to New Hampshire.

Hey man! We actually just got a combo of hardware store bolts/OEM bolts that had the correct threads and length to bolt the engine up to our specific engine stand. Thread pattern can be found on supraforums 👍

Question? would the power be different with an automatic transmission on a 2jzgte.

Not an expert on answering this, but I bet you could find some Dyno numbers on Supra forums. I'd imagine that for any given engine, the crank horsepower does not change between an auto or trans vehicle (assuming that the engine and mechanical accessories are identical). However, depending on how the drivetrain is designed, the horsepower that is delivered to the wheels may be different.
