I had an epiphany recently: Using 1 camera, I shoot all digital and process a select few to have that film look. Or using 2 digital cameras, I use my A7IV as my main camera, and a CCD sensor K200D (10MP) from 2010 and use that as my "film" camera. The files coming out of the Pentax have the most film-like characteristics, with just some presets-work to finish it off.

Love the simplicity for shooting wedding days. I find that I’m happier with my day and my final images when I’m not switching lenses nonstop! Great video as always!

Limiting your focal lengths makes a series of photographs coherent and easier to look at. I use a Z6 and a 500CM. The 150mm on the Hasselblad is magic.

Totally! Oh cool! Ahh I would LOVE to have a 500CM one day. Growing up I always thought of Hasselblad as the golden standard. Really cool.

I used to shoot hybrid with a Mamiya 645, but i was simply using different backs. The problem with it is that you have to shoot either one or the other and changing backs from digital to film and vice versa takes time. Another thing to note is that even a cheaper sensor like the one i used, the mamiya DM22, is so expensive that you sweat every time you have to swap it out.
    But yeah it was great.

oooo yeah that would be very stressful to be switching out the backs all the time. If it was a slower shoot like a portrait or something that may be possible, but even still, it's not fun switching the backs a lot on those film cameras.

@@lukewtcleland when you're shooting you enjoy the fact that you get both of the experiences, also when you get back getting down to development and scanning and working both files together, that feels very fulfilling too.
The moments of you changing backs is where all the stress kicks in, until you put the cap on the sensor and seal it in its safety little carrier, that's where you question your choices. Then again it is either that or carrying two heavy cameras.

Do you attempt to capture the kiss at the Altar or the recessional on film? Like does your wife get the shot on digital while you get it on film? Also, absolutely love your stuff!!

Sometimes! It depends. Something like the kiss is much easier to shoot on my Contax 645, but movement towards is much trickier with manual focus. But yes, if there's a pressure situation where I want to shoot it on film, my wife or second, back up shoots on digital. Thank you!!

With a double harness do you think a useable setup for solo hybrid wedding could be a Sony a7riii for photo and a Sony fx30 for video ?

I'm not too familiar with photo video shooting, this video is all about film and digital photography. But yeah I think the double harness could work for two cameras! My wife uses it and she loves it.

Contax is overated compared to Pentax 67 for example. Or a mamiya 645 1.9.. way less expensive and more reliable which contax isn’t
