For anybody curious about the "animation" dockers in updated Krita - the "animation timeline" docker now has everything you need built into the dock. On the right hand side of the docker, you will see an onion button - this enables onion skins, and beside that you will see three horizontal lines stacked upon one another - this contains your start/end for the old "animation" docker, and to the far left topside of the "animation timeline" docker you will find the play/pause buttons etc. Hope this helps for anybody who was a little confused like I was :)

I'm on my tenth Grade and I'm about to complete Junior High School (in my country, Grades 1-6 is Elementary, 7-10 is Junior HS, and 11-12 is Senior HS). And I just wanna say I am sick of it. They teach you things you'll most likely never use. I mean, it's fine and it's fun to know stuff about our cells and various organ systems but if it's more of a fun fact topic, not mandatory. And in other countries, it's not mandatory to go to college but that wasn't the case until about two years ago here. You have to attend college or you'll be looked at as this retarded lazy ass. At least, you can earn some money, compared to school where you spend them just to get to another year of hell.
I'm sorry, but this has to be the best tutorial I have ever seen for anything. 1. You explained things so clearly and politely and even with the terrible memory that I have, going over those things really helped. 3. The way you demonstrated things at normal speed and pointed things out also really helped and the fact you covered so much, made me remember it AND still kept the video really entertaining amazes me. this legend deserves a sub I hope you are having a great day and staying safe

MetoTMGchill1004 ikr he made a whole tutorial of krida and not only the animation part and I appreciate that
Yeah. I just got this program yesterday and I’m already learning so much. Not even to the animation part.
Problem: when I open up a image from my computer, it go`s right to my first layer.. How can I have a imported image over an imported image??
@@yxady if i understood right, try to drag and drop the pictures. This should work.
Krita is pretty powerful for a free program considering the fact that you can not just create great artwork but also create good animation. Excellent video!
This video saved my life!! I'm so close to a deadline and Toonboom decided to crash. I'm so used to photoshop but animate there is a nightmare for me, so this was it! Never leaving Krita since today, THANK YOU SO MUCH

why are there so many 12 year olds looking into animation
I mean, I'm 12 but why is it that everyone is obsessed with animation??
I've been animating in Krita for a year now because of this video. But I sure did return to it 5 times to get the ffmpeg path part done...
Anyway, thanks for the video, don't know what I would do without it
do you know how to do the path thing? its different than in this video and idk what im supposed to do :/

@@Zackydak Agreed. The thing is, the education system is broken. It always has been broken. They want to treat us like the same but we're not the same.
For those who have ADHD, school is absolute HELL and couple that with discouraging parents/discouraging people around you, creates young disgruntled adults in shitty dead end jobs they hate or indebted to fucking student loans.
Many of us are sick of this shitty system and are creating our own jobs doing what we love to do.
It's possible. Ignore the naysayers.
Stay positive, my friend.
If my teacher was like him, I would commit suicide.
@@lryuzaki1192 Hello, Lawliet.
(Death Note, huh?)
Ahem.
I agree.
But even until now, most people still think that.
I wanna focus on art more. If I'm lucky, I can sell a few of my work or get commissions. At least, you can earn some money, compared to school where you spend them just to get to another year of hell.
I'm sorry, but this has to be the best tutorial I have ever seen for anything.
1. The pace. the pace is perfect and I could do everything he did in real time which was epic and I even made a little animation.
2. The voice. The voice was happy but not so happy that it got annoying and not so calmig that you were like "ok we get it youre a calm person but please get on with the tutorial". You explained things so clearly and politely and even with the terrible memory that I have, going over those things really helped.
3. The way you demonstrated things at normal speed and pointed things out also really helped and the fact you covered so much, made me remember it AND still kept the video really entertaining amazes me.
