I do it to. Heck when I had a long layover in Atlanta, I walked the whole airport. Took a few hours.

It is interesting how all three South Florida major airports (PBI, FLL, MIA), have similar approaches. They all fly down the coast then make a right turn towards the west. Then fly all the way to the Everglades and loop back around to the east and land. Same with departures taking off to the east.

PBI is always my airport of choice, not just because its 15 minutes from my house but also because its the easiest airport to drive to, the least crowded nicest staff, even the TSA is friendly, if you can believe it. Baggage is you bother to check it is very fast. Economy parking is 8 bucks per day and even daily parking is cheap by today’s standards at 13. Even during Xmas the crowds are manageable. Its underutilization is great for us locals. The negative is that since United acquired Continental there are very few transcontinental flights. American tried direct flights to LAX and LAS but discontinued them shortly thereafter. JetBlue is currently trying a direct flight to LAX. Let’s see how that works out. The airport is small with just two concourses. The walk to the gate is quick. There’s not a lot of interesting stores in the airport, but who cares? Try dropping someone off at MIA or FLL and then try PBI, you will appreciate it then. It’s old but it’s not obsolete.

Enjoyed seeing some of PBI, even though I'm not flying there. However, I'll be staying in a hotel a little east of the airport after arriving in West Palm Beach on Brightline (the hotels closer to the water are just too expensive!). Question: what's the legroom (seat pitch, if you know) like on Delta's A321 in Main Cabin? (I flew on an American A321 last spring and thought it was fine. But the legroom on a Delta 737-800 that I've flown on twice is just too tight--and I'm only 5'5". But the passenger in front of me reclined his seat, which made it difficult for me to access a small backpack that I'd stowed under the seat, as it wanted to catch on the seat back in front of me. Good thing it was a short flight with no meal, or I would have had trouble using the tray table, too!) I have a flight on a Delta A321 next month in Main, but wondering if I might want to upgrade to Comfort Plus. Thanks!
