MAJESTIC MIAMI AIRPORT FLIGHT IN FIRST CLASS - How Did Delta Get Us Here From LaGuardia Airport?

  • With poor conditions leaving the New York City Area, this video places an emphasis on arriving at the busy Miami International Airport where I'll show you how arrival demand was so high that after flying over the ocean we had have to fly over land two times just to get sequenced behind other aircraft.
    Even though my seat is in First class on this Delta A321, the real first class was the view!

    Thank you for another great video! It nice to know, that there are other people out there that actually enjoy going to the airport and are interested in all the details of the flight. I like to sit just behind the trailing edge of the wing, to watch the various control surfaces operate. Like your weather, for me, its the adventure, and looking forward to what lies ahead when I land. Usually a weeks long vacation.

    The ex-Spicejet B738 is there for cargo conversion - in fact you can see the cargo door insert on the port side as you pass by. It is probably intended for a new operator.

    Thank you for a great video!! Know this all too well. MIA and FLL. Check out Latin Cafe 2000 in Brickell. Great brunch spot. Also regarding LGA, you got a good gate. Hate having to walk to the 60’s and 80’s.

    Always appreciate your narratives. Being a transportation………I thought you would have mentioned crossing the Florida East Coast Railroad-route of the frequent Brightline trains that now go all the way to MCO.

      Thanks! There’s so many things to point out, but I didn’t mention the Brightline because it’s kind of hard to see from up there.

    Isn't it a great feeling leaving awful weather up north and landing in sunny FL. I'm a little north of you now in Boca Raton. I came down in Jan for 2 weeks, then again leaving in mid March from ROC. Both departures in ROC had horrible cold snowy weather. Got de-iced both times. What a great feeling to get out of there. Have a great time in FL!

      It sure is a great feeling! By the way, my videos are filmed in advance and published a later date because the editing process takes a lot of time so I am not in Miami now! Enjoy south Florida!

    How did you qualify for an upgrade certificate? Did you use miles or is the certificate something different?

    • @PeterMasella
      @PeterMasella  2 месяца назад

      As an elite Medallion, I have the ability to select it as a benefit. This is only for Platinum and Diamond Medallions. I paid for a regular main cabin set but used the certificate to upgrade from main to first (by calling Delta on the phone).

    Peter, I'm curious. You say you're a Diamond Medallion member, yet you always sit in the back of the plane. With all the flying you do, don't you ever get upgraded?

    • @PeterMasella
      @PeterMasella  2 месяца назад

      I do sometimes but what I don’t show on my channel is that I’m often traveling with others who need assistance and when upgrades are available there are hardly ever two seats together so I just keep the main cabin seat and decline the upgrade. Even if I’m alone I sometimes will decline an upgrade if it’s an aisle seat or on the “wrong side” of the plane for the best view.

    How does the pilots see where they're going when it's cloudy and rainy out? I kinda find that amazing they can see through the clouds somehow.

    • @PeterMasella
      @PeterMasella  2 месяца назад +1

      They’re flying using instruments. There’s no need to see out ahead. Plus, they are under the control of air traffic control who also helps guide them.

      @@kevingreen5793hi Kevin. If they were flying with musical instruments, I would’ve included the word musical in front of instruments! Musical instruments do not help anyone fly!😅 I should’ve used the word flight instruments. Check out this link: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flight_instruments
