IT PAID OFF! A+ FLIGHT TO LAGAURDIA AIRPORT!

- It's been a bit frustrating knowing that when the wind is out of the south in New York City calling for LaGuardia to land on runway 22 and depart on runway 13 that the chances of flying up the Hudson River these days has been 50/50. When this runway configuration is in effect arrivals on vectors from the southwest make a right traffic pattern to runway 22 and for years arrivals would fly northbound up the Hudson but recently controllers have been vectoring aircraft directly over Manhattan making the view of the skyscrapers nearly impossible to see. Nonetheless, I always select a seat on the right side of the plane when this runway configuration is in use...and this time I got lucky! Confused by this? Watch the video!

Love your enthusiasm for flying and watching out the window.
Thanks Pete!
Another spectacular video and view of Manhattan
Glad you enjoyed it! Many thanks!
Way to go Peter! The bird's-eye view of NY NY never gets old. Love it.
Thanks! I love it too!
A view that never gets old. I never understood when people have the windows down. During the day, okay maybe they don't want sun glare. But at night? Especially with that view? Some people just don't deserve the window seat.
I hear you!
Very nice video as usual, rare to see that you missed the helicopter landing at 6:42 😂
Thanks! I saw it but I have so much to explain I can’t say everything!
This was one of the best videos of a flight I have seen. Beautiful job.
Thanks so much!
One night, landing on runway 04, we had to do a 'go around' due to a slower aircraft ahead. ATC apologized and gave us a close circuit back to the approach at an altitude of only 2,000 feet. It felt like the skyscrapers of Manhattan would take the paint off the belly. A great view for us and our passengers. Thanks for the memories and an excellent explanation of your approach to rwy 22.
Awesome! I’d love that! Thanks for watching!
Great video as always Peter!
Thanks as always, Mary!
Your videos are great. Wish you would go to other airports besides LGA and JFK. Would really enjoy you making videos flying into/out of more airports around the US. There are so many new and rebuilt terminals. I would enjoy BOS, DCA, SAN, MDW and my airport, MCI and just about any other airport not in New York City. There are also some really great small city airports too.
Thanks Don! 100% of the flights I take are flights I need to take for personal reasons and my channel reflects that. I've flown to many of those airports in the past but of those I only have SAN featured on this channel.
This is going to make me a batrillionaire and give me my amiable rights thanks
Ah love this approach! I live on the west side of Manhattan, but sadly I’ve only ever experienced this approach once in all my years flying into LGA. Any tips for better predicting this approach?

Greetings, Peter. How are you?
Doing well, Thanks!
Excellent. I’m new to your videos and love your upbeat attitude.
Just one suggestion based on what I have seen/heard by watching your very entertaining and enlightening videos. Try not t talk so fast. I sometimes have a difficult time understanding what you are saying due to your rapid fire delivery.
Otherwise, truly educational and fun to watch. Your positive attitude is very refreshing.
Stay safe!
@@yourroyalhighness7662Thanks so much! It's the New Yorker in me that makes me talk so fast. I've tried to talk slower but I have too much information to report on and I don't slow down the videos themselves (everything is in real time) so it's tough to get everything in in real time. I feel that even while talking fast, I'm still leaving out other thoughts that are on my mind. If only the planes flew slower, lol! But thank you for your feedback!

Great video Peter. As usual, it's all about the view! Too bad some people keep the window shade down!
Exactly!
You should play MSFS to experience this arrival virtually.
Good idea!
