    Good video. I'd like to point out that if you're using Live Boolean, you will not need to merge down and re-dynamesh the object to do the boolean subtraction. Instead, when you have Live Boolean active, you can simply go to the Boolean pallete, under the Subtools menu, and click on "Make Boolean Mesh". This will automatically do what you did here in one step, and also make a new tool out of the boolean subtraction which you can then use to continue your work. This way, you still have both the live boolean tool AND the newly subtracted mesh tool available, so you can always go back to the live boolean version, or just continue on with the new boolean tool.

      Hey George! I just got my recording studio set back up...looks like my dad will be coming to stay with us until things cool down with COVID19. He’ll be camped out in my art studio and not going back to his assisted living. On the bright side, the acoustics are much better than in my tiled studio, so stay tuned! Thanks so much for your kind words. Anything in particular you’d like to learn?

      I do pretty good sculpting in zbrush but have done little with making rings , just charms that I finish in Rhino. So I would like to see more on rings and scaling in zbrush. Thanks again , George

      In my current state of lockdown, I should switch back over to making some tutorials later in the week. Do you do a lot of work with stones...is that why you’re using Rhino first?

      Hello, I would like to see how other folks are creating jewelry using Zbrush. I use Rhino to create a base object and export to Zbrush for sculpting parts and back to Rhino for final stages and create supports for my 4 axis mill. I use Rhinogold for stones and jewelry that is mostly stones such as halo rings and clusters

    ZBrush Tutorial - How to Model & Sculpt a jewelry (bangle) and sell it on Sketch fab store.
    I have created all geometry and sculpting in ZBrush and textured in substance painter.
    Model is having clean, low polygon & simple topology. I have used Normal Map, Alpha Map, Height Map & Texture Map with PBR shaders.
    Thanks

      Aniket Menkar stay tuned...I’m working on more! I also have a web-based course coming online soon at www.zbrushjewelry.com, but I’ll also be putting selected tutorials on RUclips.
      I have a weird background...I was a systems engineer at Apple but also have a construction background with a strong CAD emphasis. I actually created a woodworking curriculum at the college level in SketchUp...joinery is so much fun. I’ve fabricated jewelry most of my life, so I love where traditional methods intersect with CAD. I think having fabrication and casting skills have been helpful. 😁

    Thank you for the review, I am new to Zbrush and I intended only to use it in Jecewlley modeling, nothing else. Is Zbrusg core 2021 righht for me? I don't want to pay for the full features if i don't need it especially when I am still a newbie at this

    • @KatAdair
      @KatAdair  2 года назад

      Hey Ahmed! You can use ZBrushCore, but the full version has an AMAZING array of tools that are not found in Core. Things like the ability to add accurately sized stones and prongs, importing files from other CAD programs with accurate sizes, the ability to create custom brushes, and the ability to use something called ZModeler, which is a hard-surface type of modeling that can be used to create stone settings and geometric designs. Those features are not in Core. Of course, you could start in Core and try your hand at sculpting, but the full version has a 45-day trial that gives time to explore, and they do offer month to month subscriptions.
      One nice thing Pixologic does is so far, they’ve NEVER charged for an upgrade like all other companies. This may change in the future, but for now, it’s very generous. It’s been that way for over 20 years.
      Also, if you download the trial, I have some free preview lessons as part of my ZBrush jewelry course at www.zbrushjewelry.com. Look at the bottom of the page for the previews. I need to update the course, but it works with the current version of ZBrush just fine. I’ll add a discount later today. I have a custom interface and some custom hotkeys to simplify the program, and those are free in those previews.
      Anyway, it’s an exciting way to create…a little bit of a learning curve, but like nothing you’ve ever seen!
