You didn’t mention it but, one reason the power train is so sweet in the Q5 is that the transmission is a dual clutch design. It’s basically a manual transmission that is shifted by robot. Shifts are very fast and clean, and it’s also more efficient helping to improve fuel economy. Too bad Audi didn’t use this refresh to improve the limited storage space in the cabin.
There is no storage in the front of this vehicle. They delete the touch pad and managed to make the storage pocket they left behind useful for absolutely nothing.
Absolutely agree! Was really looking forward to upgrading my 18 Q5 to a new PHEV Q5, but the ridiculous looking "stuck on Ipad" infotainment looks so outdated now and is a deal killer for me. I would have already ordered had they had copied the dash from the other Audi models.
Have to agree, I test drove a 2015 Mercedes that had this look and EVERYONE hated it, even the salesmen (PLURAL, at multiple dealerships, LOL!). You'd think we'd be past that 5 years later.
At 2:11, you said "this engine also has a mild 12v hybrid motor" and it deilivers a combined 25 mpgs? Sounds off...should be much higher...as in the mid to high 30 mpg range..
Nice review! Only suggestion is to stay away from Audi Westmont. They barely gave us the time of day when we were trying to buy a Q5 and the salesman kept gloating about a super car he just sold. What a way to make you feel small. There are eight other Audi dealers in Chicago you can go to that are way nicer.
A A I'd go with Q5. Knowing Range Rover people who ownes one are crying, because they have a big transmission issues. Cons for Q5 can say next: Quattro comes standard, system works outstanding, off-road should not be an issue, good MPG, full tank comes almost to 500 miles. Engine delivers plenty of power, I think higher in this segment. Ride is pretty quiet and comfortable. So, overall for this price category, you'll get a good deal.
What you mean huge refresh and where is the aggressive?!! They reduce the face grill thickness and reduced the headlamp size that looks now like old Toyota or Honda. Plus they removed the back light 3D details which is very cheap looking. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Really I'm fund of previous model 2020 but newly face-lift is very bad and not acceptable from audi
@@DriversOnly rusted wiring loom - situated under drivers feet - rear hatch opened by itself- camera system - wing mirror drivers side doesn't open frequently - drivers display changes on it when- lane keep assist warning when im parked!! I don't even have that option on my car!!!! Leak in sun roof - engine lights/new head light and others stuff. It looks gorgeous in midnight blue but the $ isn't justified IMO. 3rd and last Audi.

Consumer reports just released owner vehicle reliability survey, CR ranks Q5 2019-2014 years as a 3, 3, 3, 3, 2, 2 (out of 5). Hardly a glowing reliability recommendation, when most of the Japanese SUVs are ranked 5 and 4 for each of their first 6 years.

2021 Audi Q5 has a MAJOR design flaw and a SIGNFICANT SAFETY ISSUE that Audi is fully aware of, doesn’t have a fix yet, so haven’t issued a recall or informed exiting owners. What’s worse is that they are still selling the car without disclosing the problem to prospective owners.

My 21 Prestige model is the quietest vehicle I have ever owned and I have owned 32 cars in 28 years.
Missed opportunity here - the dash should have been upgraded to be similar to the Q3, Q7, and Q8, not this 'ipad glued to the front of the dash' look.

If it’s new…it will improve after a couple hundred miles. The regenerative braking is partly producing the extra breaking force…

I just test drove one and the seats on 2020 are way more comfortable, I don't know why they changed that.
Hum were they the same trims? Could be due to the seats.
The Turbo lag is just annoying.

They really crippled the trim levels. My 2018 Premium Plus has many of the features that this Prestige has.
I have 2018 Premium Plus with Technology Package and warm weather. Not much different other than touchscreen.

Bummer, so far my 2019 Q5 Prem Plus w/ 9000 miles over 10 months is fine. How many miles and months of service on yours?
