Doesn't have the dual screens? That's a plus to me. I have the 2017 Allroad which has the same climate controls and they are perfect. You can easily make changes without looking at them, huge plus.
Wow. It's like the engineers didn't talk to each other until the very end. The body designer was working off plans from 6 years ago "whatdoyamean the wheels don't fit?" and the interior guy was all "cut, paste, done".
This exhaust trend is just atrocious and why of all manufactures are the "performance/luxury" brands the worst offenders?? You'd expect that after dropping $50-60k on a high performance variant of a luxury sports car, youd have a real one?
I just turned in my leased white 2017 SQ5 last week . . . the last year of the previous generation. Really enjoyed that vehicle and almost bought it. I passed on getting the new one. The fake exhausts, the cheaper interior plastics, the loss of the amazing flat bottom steering wheel, the loss of the beautiful gray gauges, no more interior SQ5 badging . . . even the diamond stitch leather felt cheaper. Sure the tech is newer but its not all better. But most importantly, the previous supercharged motor felt sportier and more fun, ready to go at any time, even if it wasn't actually faster than the new turbo motor. The last generation felt special . . . the new one feels like just another Q5. So long Audi.
Features which just aren’t specced in the specific car reviewed but are available to configure (like in this case missing navigation and cooled seats) shouldn’t influence the score (which I think they obviously do because he specifically mentioned them). Noticed this a few times and I think it would be just fair taking this into account.
Could not agree more. If Doug can’t find a loaded example of the car, he sure as heck shouldn’t be docking points because it doesn’t have some options ticked. 🤷♂️
The one you tested was missing some key features. The air suspension comes with the sport differential, which is a big change in the handling. Some of the drivers assist features were missing (there are additional sensors that go in the grill) so I don't think this one had the full automated cruise control. There is a Audi provided option to turn the fake exhaust in to real exhaust, It's about $1200 from Audi. They should have included that from the factory, with all of the hate that they are getting for that.
This car has the s sport package (red calipers), and also has the adaptive cruise and 360 camera (standard on premium + and prestige models for 2021). If you’re going to comment please know what you’re talking about.
I get the whole exaggerated exhaust tip thing but this is a whole new level of fake-ness. Anyone that buys a car with a fake-non-functional-just-for-looks exhaust is not a car guy, just a show off... Which is Audi's entire target market...
today I saw Escalade at work (Eastern Europe) parked next to the '13-'18 X5 and X5 looked like a hot hatch next to it. So yeah you'll hear us bitch about it. There are also 2 4th gen RAM 1500 that doesn't fit into any parking spot in the whole city/country/continent

Douglas, the type of guy who has not reviewed a Ford Excursion 7.3 yet :(
Doug: ''Compact SUV and it's not very fast''
Rest of the world: ''Big and very fast SUV''
Anxiously awaiting the review on that Geo Metro convertible.
I hope you don’t take this the wrong way, but you look just like a geo metro convertible driver.

Me: Geo Metro Convertible
Or Suzuki Swift cabrio, hope he will review it.
A friend had an Audi with a transmission problem. The Audi dealer said it needed a new transmission, for $14,000. He found an independent mechanic who fixed the transmission for $60.
THISSSSS is gonna be a great birthday present. Thanks Doug
Happy Birthday Jelly Apple

@@joshuadavid3920 Happy birthday....I see u everywhere
did anyone realize the length of the video is 2021.. 😂
Thats a nice catch!
Dougs haircut looks like the Audi’s rear end
Doesn't have the dual screens? That's a plus to me. I have the 2017 Allroad which has the same climate controls and they are perfect. You can easily make changes without looking at them, huge plus.
Wow. It's like the engineers didn't talk to each other until the very end. The body designer was working off plans from 6 years ago "whatdoyamean the wheels don't fit?" and the interior guy was all "cut, paste, done".

@TableRocked sorry mate is my phone, i will correct that. Not easy to drive and text
Honestly, it’s my favorite SUV in the market.
It’s also made in Mexico which is something I’m proud of as a Mexican.
Excited for the Geo Metro vid!
Only Doug Demuro will have a 90s Geo convertible and a 2021 Audi crossover in the same video 🗿
really looking forward to that geo metro video lol
Take your SQ5 to have them do the Stage 1 tune. Totally worth it!
Does it include a cutback system my goodness
Really?
Whose excited for the review on the blue Suzuki Swift convertible!! I used to own the sedan version in India, used to be called the Esteem!
This exhaust trend is just atrocious and why of all manufactures are the "performance/luxury" brands the worst offenders?? You'd expect that after dropping $50-60k on a high performance variant of a luxury sports car, youd have a real one?
Because GDI cars create a ton of gross soot around the exhaust outlets if a true exhaust is used.
@@nathanyoung8284 atleast dont put those "quad exhaust" for dumb reason
So pretty. I have a 2018 and I love everything about it, except for the low profile tires that wear out too quickly!
Given that my Seat has exactly the same interior but real exhausts, I feel like I've got a great deal
Doug: Any terms and conditions?
Audi: Don't mention Model Y in your review.
The length of this video is perfect..👌
Man, those fake exhaust tips. This thing's kindof a chump-mobile.
It's like the design tip did a quick last minute trip to autozone.
For real
I like Doug DeMuro's way of explanation. AAA+ for him.
"Sporty, fun"
Weighs the same as a dual motor Model Y

Is this now negative or positive for the Audi Car? And why? (I dont get it :/)

@@linklink999999 Weight is bad, and high center of mass is bad. This will have both, while the Tesla will at least have a lower CoM.
We got an opel Corsa 2019. But at least it got a real exhaust.
There's nothing clever about two sets of taillights.
It's clever when the maker isn't cheap and both sets work. Unlike the new Mini Clubman
They have to. It's illegal to have tailights on a moving piece
I see so many of these cars with malfunctioning taillights lol
besides, the amazing LAG to switch from one to the other, it's very shameful
Especially when only the top pair are leds. The bottom lights are plain cheap halogens. They really cheaped out there.
Doug: The kind of guy that just loves saying, “SQ5”! 👍🏼
I can kinda see why people say all Audi's look the same
that’s the point
it’s 2021 and Doug still doesn’t know the word ‘perforated’
THE GEO METRO CONVERTIBLE PLEASE. FINALLY A CAR I OWN/ CAN AFFORD REVIEWED BY DOUG
“Never seen a movable cell phone charger”. Umm, how about literally all Toyotas?
The Highlander has a movable wireless charger
@@jc_so_riyl and the Camry
@@s_artem9 in conclusion, Toyota>Audi
I get the whole exaggerated exhaust tip thing but this is a whole new level of fake-ness. Anyone that buys a car with a fake-non-functional-just-for-looks exhaust is not a car guy, just a show off... Which is Audi's entire target market...
I don't think I've ever been this early....
Incoming Europeans talking about midsize SUV’s lmao
Q5 is massive on our small roads 😂
today I saw Escalade at work (Eastern Europe) parked next to the '13-'18 X5 and X5 looked like a hot hatch next to it. So yeah you'll hear us bitch about it. There are also 2 4th gen RAM 1500 that doesn't fit into any parking spot in the whole city/country/continent
Feels more like a 'more Doug demuro' channel video
My dad has the 2011 audi q5 but not higher trim and it has some really good tech for its time
