from a guy who has always been a Queensryche, Pantera, WASP kinda metahhhlhedd..I find myself so taken by the music of Zero 7...absolute musical energy. I dig!
That is the first time when I heard this song and I fell in love with it! It took me AGES to find out who the performer is... but it was worth the time :)
Simple Things has been one of my favorite albums to throw on for over 10 years. I honestly can't even remember how long it's been since I found it.This song has also been one of my all time favorite songs since I first heard it. And I LITERALLY just found out that Sia is the singer on this one. Seriously . . . I had no clue all this time. I like a couple Sia songs and know she's written a lot for other people. But, now that I know it's her, it makes me more interested in her solo stuff.
I absolutely love them. What more can I say. They are brilliant. I feel lucky to live in the time of their musical existence. It is just pure sonic gold.
Feel like Im floating in the sky on a hot summers day when I hear this song, Its sooooooo beautiful, Glad I have have it in my life ..Zero 7 - Thankyou ! x
I love seeing the three Zero 7 muses on stage together collaborating for my favorite Z-7 song. All three are gorgeous, all three have beautiful voices and they absolutely kill this song together (in a good way!)
This moment in time will never be duplicated. What are the chances that this wonderful assembly of artists will be together on stage together? Sia, Tina and Sophie rock!
Im pretty secure with myself and my emotions but jesus...I get flooded with tears and emotions when I hear this song...dont know why Thanks you Sia and Sophie...and Z7 of course
This HAS to be the oldest comment I’ve seen! Made me gasp! Amazingly RUclips is 18 yrs old! Curious if it was around the 5:22 mark that the tears came? 😢
I loved the early Zero 7. I also managed to discover both Tina & Sia for myself and have since really got into Tina's solo work, seeing her twice at the Union Chapel. A bit hit and miss with Sia, but she does from time to time blow me away, a real talent. Not so into the band's later work, but keep going boys... it's always good to know you're out there doing stuff.
All three female vocalists of Zero 7 on the same stage and it's fantastic. Sadly, that will probably never happen again. It's one of those moments in time I guess. Check out Sophie's video of Destiny (at the Bing Lounge). This was her song but Sia does a fantastic job of singing lead.
When it was just Sia and Sophie, Zero7 performed live with 2 background vocalists. After Tina Dico joined they dropped the backing vocalists [understandable] but IMHO, lost a layer of vocal texture. RUclips has great solo gigs for all 3 Ladies, but this was a special moment in time for this group.
ive had the pleasure of seeing this band 5 times and they are the best band ive ever seen and without running the risk of sounding like a hipster ive seen alot of bands!
Saw this tour in Boston at a very small club (the old Mama Kin) behind Fenway Park. Mesmerizing stuff: Great band and the women were outstanding. It was one of the best shows I've ever seen, and I've seen quite a few, in all genres. Have seen Sia a half a dozen times since. No luck seeing Tina or Sophie though.
thx hybridalien. you know i love the sia sophie sound. i'm new to zero 7 old. Destiny and In The Waiting Line well.... can't get better down tempo passion and give. love it all the way.
They tend to work with different singers on each Album, they did an album with Sia and Jose Gonzales which was good (The Garden), but I couldn't get into their last album at all. They've had a new track out in the past week or so which sounds more like their earlier stuff but I don't think they'll ever quite match this period.
Glad you've seen sense. I've seen Tina live quite a few times at some really good but small & intimate gigs. I always left a very happy chappy, she's such a goddess.
A singer that can actualy sing in the same way the original was recorded, you sadly dont see that somuch anymore these days. good to see some still can :)
WOW i just heard Tina and Sophie singing. Tina is fluid and holds notes. man what a Wow. i think i need more of that Wow.... why did they hold her back? i guess it's just a group thing. maybe, maybe not.
@paulthepill The album this track is from is called Simple Things. Another brilliant zero 7 album is "When It Falls" which features the sublime Tina Dico on vocals - check out "Home" from the same gig
I lie awake I've gone to ground I'm watching porn In my hotel dressing gown Now I dream of you But I still believe There's only enough for one in this lonely hotel suite The journey's long And it feels so bad I'm thinking back to the last day we had Old moon fades into the new Soon I know I'll be back with you I'm nearly with you I'm nearly with you When I'm weak, I draw strength from you And when you're lost I know how to change your mood And when I'm down you breathe life over me Even though we're miles apart we are each other's destiny On a clear day I'll fly home to you I'm bending time getting back to you Old moon fades into the new Soon I know I'll be back with you I'm nearly with you I'm nearly with you When I'm weak I draw strength from you And when you're lost I know how to change your mood And when I'm down you breathe life over me Even though we're miles apart we are each other's destiny When I'm weak I draw strength from you And when you're lost I know how to change your mood And when I'm down you breathe life over me Even though we're miles apart we are each other's destiny I'll fly, I'll fly home I'll fly home and I'll fly home ♡♡♡
1 thing i'd love to have seen in this performance is if Sia left the microphone and pounded out the last lyrics on her own voice. that would have been one for the record books.
Zero 7 and the down tempo machine is very new to me and a bit intoxicating.sorry for the quick judgment. Sia seems to be a superhero in this genre and "In the waiting line" is my second fav. Tina is amazing as well. i just don't hear her as much. i am now exploring tina's work as well, alien. any choices from you? i'd love to get your opinion....peace, bro.
can anyone help ? i heard this track on the radio today and know nothing about them, i like morcheeba, cafe del mar and lots of indian lounge stuff, bearing in mind i'm 60 please be kind and tell me what album i should be looking for, thanks for your help in advance.
Tina and Sophie are amazing but SIa ....her voice is so beautiful and angelic ...I have no words for how incredible her voice is ...
from a guy who has always been a Queensryche, Pantera, WASP kinda metahhhlhedd..I find myself so taken by the music of Zero 7...absolute musical energy. I dig!

this bass lines are amazingly captivating!
Sia, Sophie and Tina on one stage... damn it I wish they could have kept collaborating. This is sublime
Agree
why didn't they?
I love the group zero 7, I especially love the song Destiny!:)
Ann Jackson "Destiny" and "In the waiting line" are my favorites.❤️
I absolutely love them. What more can I say. They are brilliant. I feel lucky to live in the time of their musical existence. It is just pure sonic gold.
Beautiful, delicate, wonderful voices, women and musicians.
all 3 of them are great to hear. but, on this track, SIA holds the crown. simply amazing.
I love this song, what an incredible voice she has, and the music, the music, the music that surrounds her, amazing
Zero 7 + Sia = pure awesomeness, what a way to blow me away everytime I hear Sia's voice
Feel like Im floating in the sky on a hot summers day when I hear this song, Its sooooooo beautiful, Glad I have have it in my life ..Zero 7 - Thankyou ! x

Wow! Tina, Sia and Sophie.
Sia is fire, Tina is ice and Sophie is angelic.
Top class talent
Andy Wolf it doesn't get any better than that my friend

Take me back to this moment in time, 2004, and let me start all over again from there, please.
Lucky audience!!!
I'm still so happy that I was there :)
I'm pretty sure I should be visible but I'm buggered if I can pick me out of the crowd now.
Yea , I wish I had a time machine to go and see this !
That three girls on stage singing togheter. What a dream.
I've been a fan for quite a while, and I really seriously totally think this was their best recorded live performance
I loved the early Zero 7. I also managed to discover both Tina & Sia for myself and have since really got into Tina's solo work, seeing her twice at the Union Chapel. A bit hit and miss with Sia, but she does from time to time blow me away, a real talent.

Sia is center stage in this one. Never a more deserving woman/
artist. Love Tina and Sophie.
The intro, wow. gave me goosebumps, fa sho!
Sia carries, and has the voice.
Sia è una delle voci più belle di tutti i tempi ma quando cantava questa canzone mi scioglievo..............
This and Home are my 2 favorite songs by this band :D
1:07 made my heart and soul smile
Still listening to this nice song - 2017
The intro always hits the spot for me. I love them so much though I'm not an Aussie.
Carrying me to a nice place, yet again.

Wonderful performance! Luv both versions of this song Peace w/ a smile

angryyoungjudges you are right the 2 background vocalist sounded great
I think so as well.
Who were the backup vocalists in that radio studio recording, do you know?
Those are some celestial harmonies.
2004 when Glastonbury was a cosy little gathering. Now it's close to a million people in that field.
I love seeing the 3 girls together... and the band! life was good...
beyond awesome - melodically, destiny just kills it. Mix with the etherial vocals of these three godesses, it's a tune that simply, smashes it.
ive had the pleasure of seeing this band 5 times and they are the best band ive ever seen and without running the risk of sounding like a hipster ive seen alot of bands!
I did not realize that was Sia.
amei esta música vicia!!
The bass playing on this is fantastic, very inventive; listen to it carefully, it never plays the same line twice
LOVE this song

Sia is AMAZING & Zero7 , takes me back , absolute quality :0)
Soulful ballad luv this song :)

Jose Gonzales? Really? I've really loved his sound and now I know why it's special, Zero 7 strikes again.
whaaaaaaaaaaaaa . this literally blew my mind
Glad you've seen sense. I've seen Tina live quite a few times at some really good but small & intimate gigs. I always left a very happy chappy, she's such a goddess.
f88king awesome band cant wait 2 c them in october!i agree this is probably the best live performance i've seen them do of this track.
A singer that can actualy sing in the same way the original was recorded, you sadly dont see that somuch anymore these days. good to see some still can :)
Tina, Sophie, and Sia all together!!!
I own all zero 7's albums and attended several gigs all amazing wish I'd been at this one tho. Also Sia's album are absolute quality too
A RUclips Gem.
moments like this...is why we dream of building time machines to go back and experince these moments...that woulda been the best live
I really miss this :c
Perfection.... 4:10 is my favorite part... amazing
this is one out of two of my wedding songs. the scond song is kiss from a rose by seal.
Hallelujah!
I bet Paul McCartney would've wanted to say 'Fuck it! Let's all go and listen to Zero 7 instead of me!'
flawless
Too right!
Voice Even more beautiful live. :)
Nobody can sing like Sia, you have got to be lucky to be born with her vocal chords
What an opening.
WOW i just heard Tina and Sophie singing. Tina is fluid and holds notes. man what a Wow. i think i need more of that Wow....

@Sideybhai My pleasure. Glad to make so many ppl happy! I need to find the original recordings & upload a better quality version.
... UUUMMM ... "Zero 7;" THE BEST EVER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sia, Tina and Sophie...it gets no better.....
Fucking great band
Bravissima!!!!!!!!
Sia is really good but I think Tina is the best of the three. Her voice is so dreamy.
💓
such a sparkly woman
Carnt wait to see them in Bristol at end of Sept. they will all be there too, cart wait!!
this song is so hot
Thx..I thought I was the only one.
I lie awake
I've gone to ground
I'm watching porn
In my hotel dressing gown
Now I dream of you
But I still believe
There's only enough for one in this lonely hotel suite
The journey's long
And it feels so bad
I'm thinking back to the last day we had
Old moon fades into the new
Soon I know I'll be back with you
I'm nearly with you
I'm nearly with you
When I'm weak, I draw strength from you
And when you're lost I know how to change your mood
And when I'm down you breathe life over me
Even though we're miles apart we are each other's destiny
On a clear day
I'll fly home to you
I'm bending time getting back to you
Old moon fades into the new
Soon I know I'll be back with you
I'm nearly with you
I'm nearly with you
When I'm weak I draw strength from you
And when you're lost I know how to change your mood
And when I'm down you breathe life over me
Even though we're miles apart we are each other's destiny
When I'm weak I draw strength from you
And when you're lost I know how to change your mood
And when I'm down you breathe life over me
Even though we're miles apart we are each other's destiny
I'll fly, I'll fly home
I'll fly home and I'll fly home
♡♡♡
100% agree!!!
Perfect
IN LOVING MEMORY OF ACTOR RAUL JULIA, FROM HIS SUGAR.
amazing
Oh so good!

really sucks when you see how much talent some people have....And I got sheee itttt lol
kMizo whats 🤣
Well, you've a real knack for self-denigration, I'll say that!
Shit...Sia, Tina and Sophie on one stage...More talent ther than in the entire charts of today.
can anyone help ? i heard this track on the radio today and know nothing about them, i like morcheeba, cafe del mar and lots of indian lounge stuff, bearing in mind i'm 60 please be kind and tell me what album i should be looking for, thanks for your help in advance.
epic! sia is wonderful!
😍
@11u510n15t i think that's the best opening for destiny in a live concert. it sounded just like it does on the album.
what a combo!
This make me want to ...
Somehow reminds me of
"Planet Caravan" by Black Sabbath. Totally unique though, and totally Sia.
Such fluty voice, had to pause chewing chips to fully appreciate... Go sia!
