  • Join me as I transform a beat up kids desk made from mango wood into a colorful gem fit for a princess.
Originally a console table, the previous owner had shortened its legs and turned it into a kids desk. The finish was failing and chipping off, but after sanding everything down, applying a paint wash, and a few coats of chalk paint, this desk was ready for some bling!
In this video, I'll show you how I added gold trim to the top, painted the hardware gold, and added a raised stencil to both sides. The drawers also got two different stencils. To add extra flair, I used gold embellishment made from flexible modelling paste, running down both legs.
If you're looking for inspiration for your own furniture transformation, or just curious to see how I took this desk from drab to fab, be sure to watch this video and let me know what you think in the comments below!
