Awesome video man, that was the best presentation of the airless sprayer I have come across on RUclips...wow that was explained perfectly bro. Thank you!
3 pieces of advice from a 30+ year pro... Wand extension, and back roll the finish. And its better to put 2 coats than to try to force one heavy coat to cover.
EXCELLENT VIDEO I have been "Flipping" Houses for 50 Years (I am 69 years old) I have painted Stucco Houses here in New Mexico (US) a few times... but I don't know if it is my AGE or the fact this Stucco House I'm Painting has really THICK Stucco and it is Eating up my Rollers... and their expensive... So NOW... after all these years... I feel the need for speed... I mean a Paint Sprayer... I deserve it... LOL Thank YOU so much for for sharing this great video
I tell ya....I have to agree with previous comments. I've watched ALL the other vids with respect towards this product and you captured it PROFESSIONALLY. Hands down partner! Even your p.o.v. moves and guiding our eyes were spot on. Thank you. You tore it up perfectly 👌
Thanks for this demo FTH. I'm a lime putty plasterer who uses an electric sprayer to apply lime paint (lime wash) for all my internal and external paint jobs because not only do so when shopping in my local Lidl supermarket, near the fish and dairy in their tool section there was a Parkside airless spraying system for £120 ( $162.59) and had to have it. I've commented on many RUclips films, to ask if it's OK for lime wash but nobody's responded back, your film is the first that's even mentioned water based paints, I like spraying, it gets to parts other beers cannot reach and is so much better than painting because you leave no brush marks or bristles and with care and consistency you cover the surface evenly and better and faster. For internal coloured paint jobs I'll used a water based emulsion, the cheaper the better, and never use any pig fat in the final coat, there's no point because you want a breathable paint and any fat will make it non-porous. I also noticed that you just spayed it once, and after spending so long taping and masking area's, why not add at least 2 more, it would look even better and when you asked what people thought, I think you need 2 more and you should have filled/caulked along the wall top at 7:31. The rest of your house looks fine and there is no better feeling than coming home to your loved one and watching a good box-set in front of a log fire on a cold winters night in your own domain. At the 800 year old Torre Abbey in Devon I worked on doing the lime putty, rough-cast finish as part of a £32 million project in about 2006 I just did the plastering, inside and out and some other contractors did the painting but inside one of the courtyards you could see the 200 year old (or older) lime paint and I counted 4 to 5 layers, this is because the old lime paint had a thickener like casein added to it up whereas with normal lime wash, if painted on too thickly it will later crack and peel off. Been working with lime since about 2001 and worked on many old castles, churches and stately homes, seen many strange things but never a ghost (that's another story) and lots of old bodge jobs by the ancients as werll as some of the most amazing things like embossed leather wallpaper. I only work with putty mortars and plasters, no hydraulic, hydrated or cement and make my own mixes after slaking the quicklime, it's such a versatile material and helps to better protect your background walls and surfaces, acting as the sacrificial coat for the main surface as well as absorbing moisture like our breath and CO2. Another bonus is that you get better acoustics in the finished room. Lastly with all the waste water and sludge I keep it and use it to make more mortar or paint for the next job because lime putty will keep for hundreds of years and the older it becomes, the stickier and better it gets. Live long and prosper, all the best from a hillside in England.
Wow.... what you do seems so interesting ! I would guess that your methods are very old school and, as with most old school methods, is the better way to go. Thank you.
@@Mike-wh9dq, it sure is interesting plus you get to work in some ancient places and using lime putty unlike cement, gypsum and hydraulic limes there's no shelf life limit so you never need to bin it. If you are interested in the biz look up S.P.A.B and there you'll find hundreds of courses in that kind of work. All the best.
I sprayed a rental property from top to bottom with this same sprayer. It worked good but inside tight areas like closets were tough. I had several areas than ran (I wonder if back rolling would have solved that problem) understanding when pressure should be high vs low was huge, keeping your wrist straight for 1800 sq ft of painting was HARD, and keeping your speed consistent when the trigger is pulled wasn’t easy but overall it came out decent (had to do a second coat the next day due to missing my 50% overlap in a few areas and not back rolling. This is a good starter video!!! Thanks
I have a airless paint sprayer I bought years ago. By watching you get your sprayer to run, will guide me to get mine working again, as I have to paint fresh wood on my 24 Ft. by 24 Ft garage.
as a pro painter, I would have back-rolled the sprayed on paint for a more even drip and sag free finish but nonetheless, a great vid for beginners. Good job FTH!
Sorry to be offtopic but does anyone know of a method to get back into an instagram account..? I was dumb forgot the login password. I love any tips you can give me
As a pro painter myself & i mean 20 years of EVERYTHING from cars to fighter jets, tiny airbrushes to massive airless kits & everything in between I've never sprayed vertically up & down yet all these vids do that? The 6 inch bit above the windows for instance could have been done in one horizontal stroke instead of the 10 vertical ones? The only time i go up & down is when i double track, a method of firstly painting left to right then instead of turning the air cap i simply turn my wrist 90 degrees & 'double track' the same area vertically up and down, just a thought/tip? Good job all the same & no matter how you spray the finish will be always be a massive improvement on brush & roller 😊
@@lpgibbo7463 When you say "the finish will be always a massive improvement on brush & roller", do you mean the finish is much better with a brush and roller or the spray will always be better than brush and roller? Thanks in advance for your response.
You did an excellent job (better than most) showing how to use this sprayer. The cleaning of the sprayer after the painting was skimmed over, and not done in great detail. I will still have to watch other videos to fill confident enough to use the sprayer.
I’ve never used a home paint sprayer before. I borrowed one of these from a friend and had great results and was easy to use. I do feel like it wasted quite a bit of paint vs rolling but the painted was way faster. Clean up was a little messy and slow but otherwise everything went well. No issues with runs or anything. I was impressed and may buy myself one in the future.
Great job and simple straight forward info without all the fluff. I just bought one myself and have exterior siding like you but I live in a double wide mobile home with a 2 car garage so this will be a great sprayer for my home. The question I have is the cleanup, after you are done with cleaning the sprayer and you have a bucket filled with wastewater what do you do with the wastewater? How did you dispose of it? Thanks for a great video.
Great and very helpful video for a novice like myself! Thank you! I already purchased this sprayer months ago, and found your video when searching for how-to videos for this model.
Thank you. My first video, she was going over the instructions..I can do that, the next guy talked for 10 minutes, the other guy painted and gave a tip, but no set up..this is what I was looking for.
Yes I have the exact same machine. And I got mines just last year during the summer afterwards I painted my whole entire house. I too was tired of using brushes I wanted to experience it with a sprayer the outcome was excellent. Not to mention I'm going forward to spray my outside of my house this coming summer. Yes it does drip a little bit and I realized and like anything else you have to get the hang of it but always good to have a Roller and a brush handy just in case. It's definitely a great investment to have. And not for laziness. But for shear time cutting. GREAT JOB!
I just bought this same sprayer a couple weeks ago I painted my whole interior of the house after masking of course and paint color changing for different rooms in 2 hours 30 min its sooooo fast I recommend it highly if you have alot to paint !!!

Good vid. I just sprayed on clear seal coat on half my fence with the same model right before I watched the video. It is pretty much this simple. The most difficult part of the process is the clean up, but even that isn't difficult at all. Using mineral spirits with oil based products would be a bit more difficult just because of proper disposal, but the process start to finish is pretty simple.
I would also place the product and sprayer on a tarp….and I always strain the paint….excellent video but back rolling definitely will save time and produce an even coat..and I keep a spray shield handy…..👍🏼
Thank you, thank you this is very helpful. I previously had an older Craftsman unit that weighed a ‘ton’. Painted my house with it, but very difficult to move around and priming was a problem, because the fitment of the plumbing was loosening up all the time. This Grace unit looks like a much easier unit to work with.
Good Job Man! I bought one of these used but it's in perfect shape. I'm afraid to use it because I have a 5 gallon can of paint and I'm afraid I won't use it all the same day and I don't want it to go to waste. The guy I bought it from also told me that there is an internal filter that needs to be cleaned as well.
Great video! I bought one to stain my fence which I’ll be doing in a few days. I would have liked to seen it being used for an oil based stain (the clean up to be specific) but most videos I’ve found deal with water based paints. Great job!
when u come to the top and bottom when u let go of the trigger i flick my wrist up to feather it so it doesnt make a stop mark. but for my first coat i always back roll it in with a roller then before it drys put a quick coat over it and that gives the best end results for durability coverage and look on exteriors. I also bought a hardwood dolly and I’m going to build a stand for the sprayer unit and a 5 gallon bucket so I can pull it along as I spray large rooms. Dolly is 18x30 inches and I figured I make it so I can place a one gallon bucket of paint or 5 gallons on the cart to provide stability and I’ll have storage under the spray unit for hoses and supplies.
I think you and the machine did a great job! Since the paint is a thinned down version of paint, don't you need to spray a second coat? I think I would feel much better having a 2nd if not 3rd coat of paint, just thinking about wear and tear on the finish. Also do you need to spray a primary coat of primer prior to the actual paint? Honestly I am presently struggling with painting my house with a brush! My mother and I did it 18 years ago and so I decided to do it again, but I am doing it alone! Therefore, this sprayer looks like heaven to me! Would you also be able to spray under the eves, which I hate painting!!!
Ive used one of those great machine and if u attach a 2x8 peice of wood to bottom each leg on it it will set right up to 5gal bucket and pick up tube will go straight down in bucket and not tip over.

You mentioned the Wagner products, I have used them as well. My problem was blowing through a cup of paint every 90 seconds and the pain of stopping and filling often. I’m looking forward to firing this puppy up.
Yes I had a Wagner and it just stopped working on my third use and yes I agree you have to keep filling it up, works well for small projects though 🤷🏽♂️
Thank you for that information brother because I'm getting ready to spray the entire house. I found your information very useful and may God bless you always:-)
Do you recommend this for interior walls? I'm completely sold but my husband thinks it will be extremely messy. Also wanted to use it to stain the deck. Thoughts?
Yes I do! I actually am planning to paint my interior guest room after I scrape off the texture on the ceiling. I will make a video of me doing the painting using this same sprayer. Your husband is is correct it can get messy because of the overspray, so I highly suggest to mask off everything and put dust barrier walls on adjacent rooms you don’t want getting overspray on. If it’s a room like a bedroom close and seal all doors and make sure to open windows for ventilation and wear a respirator 👍🏽😊
it is all about adjusting pressure to paint density. The lower the better. make test until you reach the expected quality you an then do your all house in a day or two.

That’s a good little machine ❤
You are good at what you are doing! Ang Galing! Good Luck in your painting business!
Maraming Po salamat 🙏🏽

I'm about to invest in one this weekend. Thanks for the tips. Great vid
I'm not sure if I missed it but do you have to the thin paint? Or can we use it straight from the bucket
No need, I used mine straight from a brand new bucket. If your using old paint be sure to strain it first 👍🏽😊
Great job my friend
Thank you so much! 🙏🏽😊
I’m convinced Bro. Imma get out for my house projects 😎
You’ll love it! Thank you 🙏🏽👍🏽😊
Nice demonstration and review! Does it use more paint than rolling or brushing? Do you need a second coat of paint? Thanks!
Thank you! I definitely used only one coat, and it saves a lot of paint 👍🏽😊
Great instruction...love how it looks...u did a great tape job on those windows for sure
Thank you so much! 🙏🏽😊
Great job. Im gonna paint my house myself as well. Hopefully it comes out OK 😂🤙🏽🤙🏽

Great video.. Thanks for sharing.
I have seen professionals avoid the tape and plastic by using a 1‘ x 3‘ shield.
Thank you! I should try out that shield method 🤔
What's a shield? 🤔
@@FixThisHouse Yeah but if you mess up, or the wind carries the sprays.....
Awesome video and so friggin satisfying too!!
Thank you so much! 🙏🏽😊
Thank you Sir for sharing this with us I appreciate you 👍
Thanks for the information. I am debating renting or buying one of these sprayers.
Thanks for sharing ! Great job.
Thank you 🙏🏽!
Storm door dating the house and detracting from how nice those windows look!
Thank you! 🙏🏽
Great work. I keep holding off on using my sprayer due to the mess I made the first time I used it
You made this look effortless!
it is all about adjusting pressure to paint density. The lower the better. make test until you reach the expected quality you an then do your all house in a day or two.
Excellent video!
Thank you 🙏🏽!
