very reasonable comparison.. lol!
@@whateverwhatever7465 I hope for you that you didn't need so much time to think your reply.
That's not a contest between Boeing and Airbus. That's a fact. Boeing didn't put a redundancy if one of the sensors of the mcas was faulty because in that case pilots should need a training in simulator and not just a 52 minutes course on iPad. So they wasn't able to sell their "new" aircraft so fast. Boeing's executives are at the same level of terrorist, they killed innocent people for money the others do it for religious. Australia 60 minutes, Al Jazeera and others make interesting investigations about that.
This feeling when you came to work and realized that some 737 MAX is occupying your park spot.
0:18 Nice footage of the special Ryanair MAX 200!
sebbivism and 0:34
Pedro DLR It’s basically a Boeing 737 MAX 8 but it’s modified to take 200 passengers (Ryanair will have 197 passengers) because of the increased number passengers Boeing needed to add two extra emergency exit doors in the rear of the fuselage. Take a look you’ll see the extra door in the rear. Ryanair is the only carrier that will take delivery of this model. Other than that it should be like the regular MAX 8.
Pedro DLR Yes, maybe they can negotiate about these stuff because they are one of Boeing’s most reliable customers. They have modified the cabin so they can fit all the 197 seats onto the fuselage, seat pitch will be different though. If you want to see the aircraft fully painted search for EI-HAT or EI-HAW on RUclips or google pictures.
They all look like they have emergency exit doors in the rear.

And it shld be left there indefinitely.
@@exex Um, you do realise there are plenty other aircraft that have worse reputations. This one is mainly an eletronic override issue causing the aircraft to nosy diwn in fear of stall speed. @@brandoncaldwell95 well im against all the planes which are not safe to fly, and long story short if u think that this prb in max is so easy to fix then why it's taking so long for boeing to fix it? I'm fairly confident that the design and build standards for a car park are not the same as tarmac intended to support planes. Just wondering which will break first...
Hint: not the airplane
There is no such thing as "tarmac" on an airport... But you're right...
They probably checked if the asphalt could handle the weight first. And as you can see in the images they put those orange boards under the landing gear to better distribute the weight.
The planes are already broke 😂
Yeah youre right. The asphalt will be thinner and weaker than airport asphalt. Hence the orange boards to distribute the weight.
After viewing this, one thing I think is for certain is that that secondhand 737-800's are going to be worth their weight in gold on the used airliner market, and airlines are going to be very protective of keeping their -800's for a long time to come.
It’s oddly satisfying seeing the airline names of the planes and seeing how diverse everything is
Boeing has a long history of designing and building excellent aircraft. What happened with the 737 MAX was a tragedy of epic proportions: I hope Boeing will recover its poise and solve the M-CATS problem so carriers and the traveling public recover their confidence in this great aircraft.

Like the A320?
(Look up AF 296 and the causes of it)
igotanM16 that incident wasn’t the plane’s fault. Investigators deemed the cause to be poor air show planning and lack of pilotage skills that caused the crash. Maybe you should research it a little more and stop listening to the conspiracy theories behind the crash.
@@brendanpetry6709 The cause of the crash is still disputed to this day. Obviously pilot error and poor flight planning were a factor, however, one of the pilots on board insists that the onboard systems prevented the plane from going around, and there is also evidence to suggest that is the case.
Is it no wonder that Airbus have received more orders for their aircraft than Boeing at the Paris air show.
Not by many. Very few orders this year
@@ethmister Boeing got a few orders for 777s and a Letter of Intent from IAG for the grounded Max..... most likely a political move to provide some support in light of the UK's Brexit issues and the want of a trade deal with the Donald. IAG's move looks suspect considering they operate an Airbus fleet of single isle aircraft. I wonder how IAG will explain to their pilots that they have to return to paper manuals and have a single warning light on their aircraft after their experience on fly by wire A320 series jets.

Well, everybody, I have to give credit when and where credit is due. Thank you to everyone, mechanics and technicians working hard, I am sure, with painstaking precision to replace parts and reprogram and then test fly each unit so all of us can all fly safely on these planes again. I am not sure I can really stress how much responsibility and pressure every one must feel to be doing a repair such as this and then to make people feel confident to get on one of these planes and then even the pilots that have to go to work and fly them. I am sure that is going to be another challenge all together to get that out there and over come that issue.
All I see is scrap,Boeing has got to create a new generation 737 not just put new engines on a 50 year old model.
I'm fairly confident that the max is the last generation of the 737. After fixing these issues Boeing will probably start the development process of an all new aircraft to replace the 737.
@@tomasribeiro8020 It better be, otherwise it would be disastrous for Boeing.
Not a lot on this jet is the same if any is the same as the origional jets.
New wings, landing gear, new technology/cockpits, new fusalge made from different materials and probably a lot more as well.
@@ethmister I'm not saying you're wrong but many times, manufacturers say that they have developed a brand new wing for example for a new generation and its just a slightly different version of the older wing. Same can be applied to other components. They say it's all new when they've just reinforced some parts...
The 737 is quite limited nowadays by its design, especially the fact that it's low to the ground. Actually that's the main problem. Reduces cargo capacity, you have no space to put larger engines under the wing, stretching the fuselage for bigger versions is a nightmare, etc...
It's over, Boeing improved the 737 to the edge of the designs capabilities and now it's time for a new clean sheet of paper.
@@alfrredd as I said, Boeing pushed the 737 to its limits. It's the MAX that that design can provide. Got the joke? Yeah it's terrible...

This is what happens when you throw ethics out of the window. Serves you right Boeing!
What ethics are those?
Mr O A lot. Boeing Has been ignoring issues in safety for a long time
You are an idiot.
R.S. Cherry me?
Its the MD sections of boeing which are the problem. Since they bourght MD has negative effect on the company.
Ok why can't they take off the bigger engines and put the original engines back on? The bigger engines is what was causing the problem along with the software for them correct?
Not that easy I think the wings were designed for those new engines, if it was this easy they'd have fixed it long back.
From where I see it I think the whole design of this aircraft is not so aerodynamic (AA=angle of attack) and is unstable and then there is that software issue and then batteries which can catch fire easily so the list goes on and on.
Alex, the whole reason why the max was introduced was for more fuel efficent engines. Otherwise it wood just be a 737 next generation with better wingtips.
@@PROTurkGaming I knew that. But I was thought they just replaced the engines and emcas system only. I didn't know they replaced the whole wing. Whis is obvious what they did.
Out in San Antonio we got about 41 out of 63 parked.
To think, if they have one more accident with the 737 MAX or any plane for that matter, pilot error or otherwise, it's going to be extremely difficult to bounce back.
This plane shld never be allowed to fly period...
Shame on boeing for putting life's of millions of people on the line for bucks.
But boeing and the faa have made updates and are just gooing to get the plane approved and checked so it will fly in the near future
@@jaimedizra3534 No doubt. And still MCAS dependent on ONE sensor !! Shame!!
@Oscar Rage AI didn't take over, there's no AI involved. In both accidents, the pilots manually overrode MCAS, but stopped doing so as the flight continued for various reasons. They also had some pretty untimely errors in their airmanship which quickly caused the situation in both cases to spiral out of control. Placing all the blame on Boeing is incorrect, and so is placing it all on the flight crews.
