5:55 Regarding Sokoban, it's not just NP-Hard, which is a general term for problems harder than NP, but also PSPACE-Complete!
This is a class beyond the standard NP-Complete problems one sees, it's really a difficulty of its own that goes beyond what we currently think are hard problems, even if we were to figure out P = NP, Sokoban may still be too hard!

Jokes on me for getting the first puzzle in all of 3 seconds because I once made the mistake of trying to have fun and spent a week trying to figure out a lunar dance skill swap dancer "perish song from wish" team making use of lunar dance and revival blessing to basically do the equivalent of clicking perish song only to find out dancer doesn't copy lunar dance if there are no pokemon to switch into (but you can still use it yourself for whatever reason???) And all my effort was for nought... UNTIL NOW!!! I CAN FINALLY USE THIS HYPER OBSCURE FAILURE TO BE THE FASTEST PUZZLE SOLVER EVER!!!
Phew... that was one hell of a rant. I'm not even sure I remembered periods lol

I'm always happy when somebody knows what NP-hard is.
They also likely won't use "grows exponentially" when they mean linearly or quadratically (or any polynomial growth).

  • @circuitcraft2399

Sokoban is actually PSPACE-complete, which is MUCH stronger than mere NP-hardness.

This was such a good escape room, it didn't have an unecessary timer rushing you like most seem to have since the savefile is its own timer, and removing the luck was so nice.
Would have been a nice addition to state at the beginning that the level cap is 30 when saying that grinding is almost not necessary, since it is easy to ignore leveling up as an option since we are used to it taking time, even if it was well made and defeating 2 crabominable was enough.
Didn't use Skill Swap the entire escape room : )
I loved so much the relearner with so many options that were stuff the pokemon learns naturally

6:00 as an FYI, an NP-Hard problem doesn't mean the problem is "hard" (which is subjective anyways) in the sense you may think of it. It's just that there is no "fast" algorithm, non-polynomial time (aka it's exponential). basically NP-hard problems have to do brute force, taking a LONG time. Exponential grows way way faster than any polynomial time.
One of the coolest thing you'll learn with an NP-hard problem is that you can change ANY NP-hard problem to another NP-hard problem, like traveling salesman, by adding in small-changes that are just linear/ploynomial complexity. Which means if one person solves ANY NP-hard problem in polynomial time, then all NP-hard problems are polynomial time (like encryption!). Thus P = NP
That is why there is a $1 million prize if anyone solves that (in in the general case, either Prove P = NP or P !=NP. There have been no proofs yet (it's a proof if you solve an NP-hard problem with P time), and everyone basically agrees P != NP but just needs to prove that.

I found my own unintended way through the Sandslash puzzle:
I used fake out on the keckleon, then skill swapped protean onto Cres. After that, Sandslash used iron head on kekleon, Cres used aurora beam on slash to become an ice type, and kekleon disabled iron head. Next turn kek and cres chipped the slash, and kek died. After that, froslass destiny bonded the lax and Cress 1v1’d the slash. I figured the idea was giving Cress ice typing so the hail gave it more defense, luring the lax away from it.
