The hare was only losing because it got bored and ran the whole thing again plus extra and then picked up the tortoise and carried it a few steps away from the finish line
So wait, Doug not only went off and played all optional levels, he also played someone else's kaizo level, then restarted the whole thing, lapped everyone and then at the end basically shot Ludwig in the foot... Yeah no that tracks actually.
The funniest part about the ending is that none of the commentators realized it was Doug who closed out of Ludwig's game, they all thought Ludwig was being stupid and closed it himself Diablo the Cheater strikes again
By himself, Doug transformed this from a one-sided sweep into a thrilling, nail-biting contest. The lesson here is that overconfidence creates quality material, and Doug ultimately demonstrated his potential as a 2D platformer player.
9:13 I remember Ludwig and Doug switched controllers here, Lud offered to help Doug "Lab" his final bowser level while Doug helps Lud beat the troll level
Getting to the end, playing other levels, getting there AGAIN, playing the competition's game so he could catch up, then fumbling is indeed a problem nobody has! But thankfully Diablo the Cheater is great at solving those.
I'm a god. I call myself Diablo the Cheater. As far as I know, I'm the only person who writes a list of cheating cheats and uses it in-game. My mod turned the game into an interdimensional sex simulator (powered by a fucking necromancer), and I use that game on a daily basis. To date, I've cheated thirty games. Twenty-one of them were developed by other users, and the other two were made by me. And today, this motherfucker is named after me. I use a relatively simple cheat to game console games. What I do is turn the switch on the controller I use into a button on the console, and then I press it to trigger cheats that give me a better experience. Here's what those che.
This is the Moral of the story: *DougDoug can win, AND send a message.* *That message being "don't challenge me or I'll lap and humiliate you on a Charity Stream in front of thousands" ^^*
Doug singlehandedly made this from a one sided sweep to an incredibly entertaining, down to the wire race. So the moral is that overconfidence makes good content and Doug finally proved that he might be good at 2D platformers.
nah that was Diablo the Cheater, not DougDoug. We all know Doug is bad at 2D platformers, but Diablo the Cheater is a master of all games on account of how he Diablo the Cheaters all over the place.
Hold on, Doug played a kaizo level that was made by someone else in addition to all of the optional levels. In the end, he effectively shot Ludwig in the foot after replaying the entire scene and lapping everyone. That does track, indeed.
tried to comment wholesome before a funny joke but i failed. moral of the story? i dont understand basic syntax and grammar comprehension if this is a story
In an attempt to make this a gripping narrative, Alpharad underplays just how dominant DougDoug was. To sum up: He was the first to make the shell jump, completely outpaced everyone else and reached the penultimate level, went back and did the optional levels he skipped, did... I forget how many random Super Expert Levels, then started all the way over from the beginning and lapped everyone, switching controllers with Ludwig along the way and beating the troll level for him. This was the single most deserved win I have ever seen.
So hold on, Doug not only played every optional level but also a kaizo level that someone else had created. He then replayed the entire thing, lapped everyone, and, in the end, essentially shot Ludwig in the foot. Yes, that does indeed track.
Hearing the thoughts behind the level making after fully seeing the pain from the LIVE channel makes me realize that this event couldve been like 4x longer and resulted in 3 less friends
0:24 "I spent a good amount of time limit-testing other friends around the expected skill level, and then decided to make some parts easier and even scrapped some levels entirely" This is an amazing subtle brag
ok i left this comment before watching the actual video because i saw the dougdoug clip about how he did the home menu bit, but i didn't believe him when he said he lapped everyone else, what do you mean he wasn't lying
This was one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen live. The last ten minutes of the race were peak comedy. Dougdoug truly is good at 2d platformers. Also the moment where alpha met poo for the first time in person was extremely heartwarming.

today we figured out that dougdoug is actually really good at 2d platformers *(context: there is a recurring joke in the dougdoug community that he's bad at 2d platformers)* dougdoug beat the world, before half of the people got to level 3, then proceeded to complete all of the optional levels, then play some random person's very hard kaizo level, then restart all of his progress, and fuck over ludwig. incredibly dougdoug
This is like if the hare woke up and just pulled a gun on the tortoise at the last minute. What's the moral of the story? I have no idea, but I think I like this version of the story better.
The moral of the story is that the Tortoise and the Hare is a true story but would end by the Tortoise popping off before actually finishing crossing the line and getting shot by the Hare before he could
DougDoug going "fuck it" and playing random other levels to even the gap is such a DougDoug thing to do, lol
I mean, he is good at 2d platformers after all
I saw this comment immediately thank you for informing me ougdoug is in this
Oh…
W dougdoug quote
RIGGED
This is like if the hare was losing, so it shot the tortoise right as it was about to pass the finish line
Yeah, that sounds like a moral to me.
And nobody noticed and thought that the tortoise just tripped like an idiot
The hare was only losing because it got bored and ran the whole thing again plus extra and then picked up the tortoise and carried it a few steps away from the finish line
This is a 1:1 recreation of the tortoise and the hare.
Doug screwing his lead just to try and prove he’s good at 2d platforming is the most on brand Doug thing I’ve ever seen
Potato
The 2D platforming propaganda is working🔥🔥

I mean, he did it.
Who’s the loser here?
@ tbf winning anyway by screwing over Ludwig is a very Doug move too
A Diablo the Cheater move if you will

It's more like he shot Ludwig in the heart rather than the foot. It was savage!

tbf, Ludwig somehow beating the troll level faster than Doug could was because Doug played it for him
Yeah I was going to say, "didn't they swap controllers for that one?"
lol
Damn, that would've been a great part to include in the video. I guess taking Lud's controller at the end was actually kind of even lol
Actually really weird to not include that part if I'm being honest.
9:14 this joke makes NO sense to anyone who hasn't seen the actual stream. Kinda perfect for a troll level, ngl.
Who can say for sure how it happened
If you’re wondering, Lud and Doug switched controllers and Doug was the one who beat the level for lud.
By himself, Doug transformed this from a one-sided sweep into a thrilling, nail-biting contest. The lesson here is that overconfidence creates quality material, and Doug ultimately demonstrated his potential as a 2D platformer player.
