Just discovered your channel. I'm freaking pumped and I hope you keep making videos. I'm 6'5" and 325. It's so hard to find anything that works for me. Sleeves are short, chairs are short, desks are short. Chairs are flimsy. Glad to be here!
Excellent video. I set up my E7Q (Odin) about 2 weeks ago, and really like it. It's very stable at height (I'm 6'4, so have it at 45.3"), although there is a little wobble for anything on an adjustable arm. Ultimately not really that much of an issue. I did a lot of research pre-purchase, and the only alternative I would have gone for would be the Deskhaus, but those are hard to get in Canada. I'm happy with my E7Q.
It's very weird to tune into one of these and find somebody whose ergonomic calculation is the same as mine. I like the fact that the Flexispots go a little higher than I need. An inch-and-a-half taller than the Uplift 4-leg (unless you buy a 1.75" solid wood surface) makes a difference.
One thing I wish standing desks had was a mechanism to raise the monitor off the desktop when the height is raised. I find myself looking down at the screen when I adjust my desk to standing.
Yes I had this problem, and that's a great idea that I should have discussed in the video. I picked up Atdec monitor holders for my dual curved monitors, and arms for my other ones so that I can keep them all at a good height. But I will say that as taller folk we tend to have this problem because the desk height itself is not enough. When you can actually position the standing height in the correct proportion of where it would be in relation to sitting, then you'll actually find it's not that bad.
my main things i need and look for are 1. The stability of it. Both side to side and front to back wobble when at max height. 2. the noise of the motor when moving 3. the warranty and does it actually cover EVERYTHING besides purposeful damage 4. how easy is it to put together. im torn between these two E7 Plus and the Odin. The Odin is exactly $300 more currently
This video came to me at the right time! I am researching standing desks but I'd prefer L-shaped if I could find one. I'll keep these in mind though since they seem to be long enough for my needs
so FlexiSpot does have L-shaped ones! Although they don't reach over 50". I actually haven't found any desks that can reach out 50" that are L-shaped, but they get pretty close.
@@FLGurl I mean technically I could, but then I'd have to adjust 2 desks, and pay for and build 2 desks. With an L-shaped desk it meets the spacing requirements I need for 2 monitors, a medium sized PC case, and a console if I so choose
Hey! I’m hoping you’ll be able to help my out as I have a very specific use case for a standing desk. I am a tattoo artist and building an electric tattoo bed to save my back a bit, I know the weight capacity for each of these desks, but in your opinion do you think these desks would feel sturdy enough to raise and lower with a person laying on top of them? The last thing I would want is for clients to feel as though the table is wobbly and could collapse while being tattooed 😂
It really is and is the biggest difference maker for standing desks now that I have these. More companies should consider this for stability, even at lower heights.
On the e5q, I’m a bit scared that the support frame won’t be enough to handle a 1800x800x40 butcher block and that it would bow. Reckon those metal pillars are enough to hold it true?
Cory,I got a question follow up on your weedeater.. Im 6'3 so just lil taller but Ive had a stroke so 2 cycle engines are a hard no for me.. is the badger one a 1" shaft I wonder if it could be modded to me dewalt electric could I possibly get maybe some pics and dimensions from you on it if I cant find it online? if you are in the H town area you're about 3 hours north of me and its WAY too hot already
Hey brother we are damn near the same size im 6'10 300bls an wanted to know if you found any good Parkas? Im moving to Alaska next year an its been a pain trying to find good quality heavy winter clothes
I AM ABOUT 5' 4". WHICH DESK WOULD YOU PREFER? I WANT TO PUT AN EMBROIDERY MACHINE ON TOP. IN INCHES WHAT IS THE SIZE OF THE FLEXISPOT E7 PRO? WOULD E7 PRO OR PLUS WOULD YOU GET? THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR ALL YOUR HELP!😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤🙇🙇🙇🙇😍😍😍😍🙏🙏🙏🙏👍👍👍👍
I would go with the Q - over the lifetime of a piece of furniture like this the extra 500 dollars is of almost no consequence. When is the video where we can discuss how Jason Voorhees is superior in every way to Michael Myers? :P
I was ALMOST about to heart your message until I read the utter blasphemy at the end of your sentence! Without Michael, there would be no Jason, or any other slasher. Also, Michael currently holds more total kills at 161 than Jason does at 151, lol. But totally agree that it's worth the extra money. The Plus is fantastic, but I'm a believer in "buy once, cry once", so I would rather just buy it one time and never again. Either way, both of these desks are absolute beasts!
Can someone please help me answer: does the length of the desk base adjust? I.e. to add a desktop of 160cm vs 200cm, do you just extend the base? Thanks!
man i wish this desks were more stable, a wobbly desk is a no go for me, i prefer to stay with a trash desk with monitors mounted to the wall to avoid transfer of movement.

Those desks look really nice! Everyone needs a stand up desk!

Autonomous desks are also fantastic. Glad to hear there are options.
Plan to use it for a reloading bench. I'm glad i found this video and your honesty is appreciated.
I didn't see the working load weight.??
Bruh…. Just the video I been looking for. Im 6’7 and I’m currently looking for a desk.
Thanks bro 🙏🏽
I'm the same height. What did you end up going with? I went with the E5.
@@ChrisFroyd tbh I ended getting a cheap one from Amazon. But it’s great for my height
@@Bruticus95 ah that's good. I needed one that had at least a 48 inch rise and a desktop large enough for all my stuff.
@@ChrisFroyd mine can go up to 46.8 which is still good. For the price this one got a keyboard tray and a second level from the table.

I don't see where to put in the promotional code on the site. For the 15 percent off
