These work REALLY well if you’re a mid to fore foot striker at whatever your fast speeds are. Recovery and easy paces not so much, at least for me, but they are a racing shoe after all. The squeaking is normal too, but it can go away like you said. Took them out for a first long run the other day (19 miles) to test them on very tired legs, in the hottt sun, and doing a 5k earlier in the day with other shoes. My average heart rate for all my corresponding paces was anywhere from 3 to 7 bpm’s lower than normal while maintaining a slightly faster speed overall. These help you sustain faster speeds! I can’t wait to taper down for my race and wear them on marathon day with a full fresh set of legs! We’ll see.
How about the durability? I had two pairs of the VF 2's & 3's and use them sparingly because I've seen zoom x wear out easily and breakdown around 200 mi.
I’ve been in the same boat. I’ve never run more than 150 miles in my VF1s and AF2s. I’ll be using the AF2s for my training tempo runs, so I’ll find out just how far they can go. I have seen people get a ton of miles in them, but the outsoles looked absolutely shredded
I had an older version of those shoes they didn't have the enclosure and it was the air bubble that it would squeak. I added some Vaseline and It never squeaked again. not sure if you can get Vaseline on to that bubble with this model have the air bubble covered
@@FreshBrewRunClub WD40 around the air pod for the WIN! I sprayed it all around and left it upside down for a few days and ran 11.5 with tempo this morning and NO SQUEEK!
Any updates on the squeaking? Ran a half and by the end of it, the squeaking was non stop. Not impacting performance but just wondering if it goes away with time.
Not as bad, but it comes back randomly, and especially if they get wet. I’m a little too nervous to put a lubricant in them, because I’m not exactly sure where the squeak is coming from and I don’t want to make the outsole slippery. An unfortunate side effect of thaw shoes

For sure, agree with everything you said.

I don't know, the visibility on those shoes they're a little hard to see, especially with those socks 🙂.

Yeah, you can jam some in there I think, but fortunately, these have stopped squeaking for me after about 20 miles.
What about sizing did I miss that?
Runs true to size. Slightly on the narrow side
Where do i get the matching socks? About to order this colorway ($290 total 😮) vs the all white/spec of blue colorway ($217 😔)
They’re made by a company called Shyu Socks!
I've heard that you can lube the area around the airpod that makes contact with the foam and plate around it.
That’s good info! I might need to grease it up

Mine squeak too. Same colourway.
There’s simply no sneaking up on any one running ahead of you in a race with these
1 mile is always the roughest!
Don’t waste your money on these shoes. Only made for a certain type of runners. disappointment for me.
Just ran my PR in these last weekend, but everyone has different preferences
