Hey Aaron…. Congrats on the Trot… btw… off subject… have you ever ran one of the ParkRuns up there in the Detroit area.. there are 3 available on Saturday mornings…. I love my local ParkRun in Richmond Va and was just curious if you had tried them??

Ran the Turkey Trot in Lansing very cold, but was happy with my 5k time 18:34.

9:45 that's me hobbling along in the 10K lane. White hat, orange long sleeve, dark blue vest. Had a terrible 10K, end up 1:20 😕.... My excuse is that my stomach betrayed me at mile ~1.5 and ended up in the porta potty for 5 minutes 🙄.

I totally agree; talking about marathoning with people who don't run is a little weird. I'm in the exact same position because I missed my "A-Goal" at the Monumental Marathon this fall but I still set a huge PR. It's hard trying to get into specifics on pacing, nutrition, having a bad day, etc without people giving you a weird look haha

Aaron… the Crim Festival of races in my hometown of Flint is a tough 10 mile run with hills, hills and more hills. It is ran in August and is typically a huge event. Check it out!

I have about 150 miles on my pair of More v5’s. Just picked up the Balos to use as my daily trainer. More v5’s will be my recovery shoe.

This shoe is so frustrating I have a comment on every single video lamenting the fit because I really enjoy running in it with a very fun and comfortable foam and surprisingly fun rocker. Narrow and short toe box / common complaints of arch blisters due to narrow in this one area and soft foam pinch. I just picked up the Glizzy Max as it has a much wider toe box. I'm mad at myself for wasting the money on the V5 as I've tried every angle to make it work and it's just not - I also have a loose heel lock anyways as it doesn't come up very high on the instep as they wanted to style the shoe properly to counter the foam coming so high. So I don't even think a wider option or sizing up would work for me. Unfortunately I don't even think it's going to be a good walking shoe for me either; the styling isn't as bad on foot as it is in pictures I promise. For me, long slow day almost always picks up into threshold paces even when I'm determined to just slow it down and plod along; this shoe is great for that. Been really enjoying the content though and these high mileage reviews are what's really lacking on shoetube and sometimes it takes a normal-guy-runner who spends his own money to give the real 150+ mile reviews. Much appreciated.
