I don't mind running in the dark. I usually start my weekend long runs at around 5am. It's still dark out, but as the sun rises, it gets so nice, and I realize my run is almost over the brighter it gets. LOL. Great video my friend!

14:18 I think that might be a Red-tailed Hawk? They certainly nest at the Michigan Central Station.

Good eye! I remember they brought a Red Tailed Hawk to the library one year for a demonstration about cutting down on the rat population, so you might be on to something here!

I don't like night running because my body is always worn out from the day. I do run in the dark on earlier mornings and enjoy that darkness.

Yeah, I don't mind darkness when you get a sunrise. But ending in the dark after a tiring day is not my favorite type of run, although sometimes necessary

I did my last speed work out of the training block last night, it was ROUGH.
Positive splits, but all at/under the pace marks.

Totally get the passing protocol. I surprise people especially when they have ear buds in. I could probably yell behind them but would prefer not to.

Yeah, earbuds are tough because there’s not much you can do. I try to go way wide around people in that case, but I was next to a very busy road
