Excellent video. I own a pair of the Alphaflys in the same color and they're amazing, but the AP is also excellent. It's definitely okay to love either one of them. And I don't mean this to please everyone, but I must say the religious fervor associated with brands lately has made people a bit crazy.
Anyway, there have never been as many excellent running shoes for multiple purposes, mileage, body types, etc., from all brands, as we do now, and it's about time we perceive this as a good thing, like the adults we are, instead of engaging in brand wars like a bunch of religious cult followers. Perhaps we should just run and enjoy it and become a bit less divisive in our views. We're all fellow runners, after all.
    Keep up the good work!

I have six pairs of the adios pro 3s. Can’t wait to try the fours. And just ordered a pair of alphafly 3s

I love the AP3s. Got the Alphafly 3s about a year ago and ran in them probably 2 times. Not a fan. The foam feels dead and too squishy compared to lightstrike

VF3 has been my go to this year. Didn't get along with the AAP3 but my try AAP4 (after I get my hands on the Evo SL)... Both are really clean looking colorways! One thing with the AAP4...when you tire, you will not forefoot strike anymore. If midfoot to heel strike feels less bouncy, I'll guess the AAP4 will not feel as good later in a 26.2 distance race as most non-elite can't keep up a forefoot strike.

    nice shot 17:35
i was having trouble picking alphafly 3 and pro 3, though I ultimately pick Nike for the same reason as Tim, familiarity brews confidence. I haven't tried the pro4 yet, but from I learned from this video, I would probably give a nod to pro 4 for my next marathon.

For people who heel strike and supinate/pronate, the amount of foam that the AF V3 has removed from the heel can result in some instability. I know I was running a half marathon race on a route that had some camber to the course and I nearly felt my ankle roll 3 times. It gave me so much cause for concern that I got a new pair ahead of Chicago, which I experienced zero issues with. While the AP V3/4 would be inherently more stable. With the possible exception of people who over pronate due to that medial side cutout. I know many people find it can lead to the feeling of crashing in on the medial side, especially as they tire/fatigue.

Love the alphaflys 3, the only shoes i run without getting fatigued, and the recovery time is so short. Will pick up another pair or two

Thank you for the informative review. I have always been a Nike AF fan and yet to try the Adios Pro. I am tempted to give the a try. Hope you have been well.

Great comparison. I have a few points on the Alphafly 3. I have an average foot width and I do not have to cinch the laces tight to get a good fit. I can almost run without them because the bootie upper fit me so well. This is the only shoe I have that has a pull tab that you can easily fit your fingers into and does make putting the shoe on easy. Last thing is Nike removed a lot of foam under the plate in the forefront leaving a void around both air units giving them room to easily expand. I love the AF3.

Haven't tried the AP4 yet, but the AP3 was very good. Metaspeed Edge/Sky Paris are some of the best shoes for me, though. AF 3's really wrecked my Achilles'.

Been running in the Pro 3 for ages. Got the Pro 4s a while ago. My experiences with these shoes are nothing like most "influencers". I had minor upper problems with the Boston 12, which were easily solved, and ZERO issues with the Pro 3 or Pro 4. I'm guessing those who do LITERALLY aren't smart enough to tie their own shoes.

With the AF3, the ankle collar rubbed against my lateral ankle bones. I had to modify the ankle collar slightly to ensure a proper fit.

AF3 looks having a completely filled in midsole in the midfoot but you can slide your finger behind the pods from the void in the midsole. It is actually not that fully continuous midsole as it looks from side profile. That is the secret of how Nike has beed able to add some foam but reduce the weight because it is not complpetely filled in.
AP4 lightraxion outsole (pronounced as light traction) is a polyurethane based compound. Adidas Product Manager has quantified it as lighter than Continental rubber and durable but slightly less in traction vs Continental. That is why they still have a piece of Continental Rubber under big toe area. You didn't respond to my remarks to your AP4 review. This lightstrike pro foam is more airy formulation of AP3 lightstrike. It doesn't have any lightstrike pro evo foam (some earlier prototypes did have but they removed it from final product)
I do have AF3 but I think I am going to run my oncoming California Internation Marathon in my pair of AP3 if it looks like getting a PR is unlikely. I have only used my AP3 for training runs so I want to run a marathon in them before getting AP4 sometime in the future.

Adios Pros look WAY better than the clown shoe Nikes. Both are fantastic, but I imagine we'll see the AP4 on a lot of podiums this year.

@ the heel is too soft and without rubber. The shoe is not designed for heel strikers.

@ compared with what, a normal shoe? Have you ever talked with someone from nike involved in the project? Do you understand why there is no rubber on the heel? Cmon, it’s not so complicated…

I tried the Adios pro 3 cause it was on sale .... HUGE WASTE OF $$$. I will say that I wear wide shoes ... it rubbed a huge blister on my big toe area where the lace loop is at the bottom. I relaced the shoe skipping the bottom loop at my big toe. The tread was toast after the next run. I tossed in the garbage. 18 miles total for a very expensive shoe even on sale. They will never get a 2nd try from me.

18 miles? What did you run on? A belt sander? Should have sold it on eBay or another secondary market rather than throwing it away. Would have got some money back then
