Well, we’ve all been there and in today’s video, I am going to talk about some of my biggest clothing regrets. Hopefully, you can learn something from mistakes so you don’t end up wasting your hard-earned money like I did, and let me know if you made any of the same mistakes I did!

Most of my regrets are “final sale” items. I’ve trained myself to skip them now unless I’m 100% familiar with the fit of the clothes. And yea, if the return policy is a hassle, I’m not buying.
The final sale stuff is never usually a good idea
I think I've learned my lesson with this too😮💨 even if it's a prestige brand, I always find myself disappointed and I end up thinking, 'I guess it was final sale for a reason'.
My biggest learning lesson is not to impulsively buy clothes just because it’s on sale! I’m talking about the good finds in the clearance section

I relate so much to the buying new colours that arent black bit!
I love pink shirts/polo's etc in the summer, so i tried one to break my mostly mocochrome outfit, and they just didnt feel very "me" as much as i liked the idea.
Since then I've stuck to monochrome and im a lot happier not forcing myself out of my comfort zone too much. Its a comfort zone for a reason!
I love your reviews. Your honesty, humor and intelligence is refreshing! We’ve all bought fashion items we regret. For me, recently, I bought 2 pairs of Oliver Cabell minimalist white and black leather sneakers. I absolutely hated them. They were too tight on the width, the soles felt more plastic than rubber, and the leather seemed very cheap. I gave both pairs to a friend.

Harry! Loved the video mate! I have a similar face shape, so I understand how hard it is to find sunnys. However, I found that the Ray-Ban Clubmasters have fit me perfectly. Also, they have polarized and custom options!

Yes, I did it with a few pairs and some shorts recently. I don’t like the fit of these trousers on me these days as much though

Or just avoid washing them altogether, i only wash my jeans and trousers after every 5-8 wears, or unless theres a visible stain on them
Maybe it look more faded irl but its so sutble in the video that I dont mind the color difference.
@@augusto7681 yeah, the thigh area are a kinda browny colour now. Not great. I don’t mind a fade where it’s all over and even but not patchy
The cargos and jacket looked awesome together man, you should rock it. Even if you dont enjoy wearing it, could be good to experiment.
No regrets on that Etudes jacket, it is a beautiful beautiful piece and it looks great on you imo
I wash everything on cold and delicate and air dry. Try just using cold instead of 30 Celsius and see if you get better results.

It's so easy to convince yourself you need a certain piece of clothing. That you will be more satisfied or happy when you get it. However, most of the time it's better to keep that cash and just appreciate the pieces you see, without having to own them yourself. Maybe like art. It would be absurd if we spent money on paintings, like we do with clothes. Obviously this argument is flawed in many ways, but I think sometimes it's good to stop and look at everything in a different way.
You are right! Never take any impulse decision while buying 9 times out 10. It fails. I like your all black& white wardrobe. I am including more and more blacks and white. I have discarded all unused items and clothes that don't fit right. I already feel blessed and it seems like a load is off my shoulder. I'm becoming a minimalist and finding the whole idea of buying less a favorable idea cuz I only wear a selected few clothes in my wardrobe. So, there's no need to keep the rest

Nice video. We seem to have similar clothing issues: washed out by beige, no fitting sunglasses, bulking/cutting and clothes don't fit anymore etc.

I completely understand this regret ...as we all have been down this rabbit hole with items purchased. I purchased an AMI sweatshirt and had wanted one for so long and when I received it I did not like the fit...what a let down. However you made a good point and if it doesn't work chances are you won't like it later so I returned the item. Note I liked your bomber jacket and sunglasses on you but I know if your not happy with them - trade them for something better...cheers for another good video!

My biggest regret is wasting a lot of my money on graphic tees when I worked at Uniqlo. There are still some I like but I am barely wearing 90% of the ones I own. And I have a lot. But now I have to donate or sell what I can to clear space. Luckily I bought some versatile basics, knits and pants before I left, as well as some great thrifted pieces I am happy with. But man a lot of money I could've used on even more versatile pieces from different brands won't fully be recovered.
Yeah this is the danger with buying online, especially clothes where sizing and fit can't be judged before you've paid and received it.

I buy the same brands and know my size. I never have problems of the size but something, I don’t like the look I wear them.

That Acne Jumper looks nice in theory, but when it's on it reminds me of the jumper I had to wear to primary school - maybe that's why it doesn't look quite as sophisticated as your other stuff.

ALD always runs big on me. I find the quality is better than most and I try to buy the most versatile pieces with subtle logos or minimal graphics. As far as regrettable items, I own two of the same style hoodie from Rowing Blazers, in two different sizes, of which I've only worn ONE of them ONCE! It's a long story. Love your content.

That ALD hoodie is wild! Proper 2014 longline era haha. Shame about those NN07 trousers as well, you'd really expect a bit more durability from something that's made with higher quality materials!
Yes yes yes 😂 impulse buying is the reasons. Learned my hard lessons. Nothing was wrong & usually good clothing however, it looks good on others ( good to me too but not great) & worst mistakes was comparing myself to other great dressers. Until I’m proud up this day to show my own style & signature of myself when it comes to clothing for all seasons. More into best classics style now & spend my money wisely. Cheers 👍😎🇨🇦
Think about this way! I pay attention to the color schemes of brands. For me I LOVE, Loro Piano and Brunello Cucinelli! Same with Club. Monaco. I try to buy from them or match there style with other brands. I just loooovveee the whites, creams, beiges, tans etc that those brands have

The ALD quality has definitely dipped since it’s hey day. I find a lot of synthetic fabrics and polyester mixed in and they don’t hold up well past 1-2 washes. But that’s just my experience!
To avoid buying clothes which looks great by themselves but not good after put them on, I usually only buy the brands with model shots in their websites. If not, I will searh the model shots of the pieces I love in the internet. I hesitate to buy ALD because they do not have model shots in their website though their lookbook looks great
I know what you mean. They do have a lookbook but it’s hard to see properly how the stuff fits
The first trousers are pretty cool and for you well though
I wash my clothes completely cold.
Adding some vinegar to the wash helps keeping the colors in
color analysis is really important. the reason you don't look good in beige is that you're probably cool-toned. if you look the best in black, you might be a winter palette.
I bought those NN07 pants after watching your video and after watching this one I realize they are also pretty faded. I still like them a lot though so I will likely try dying them. Great video as always.

I bought earth tones to go with my complexion and their versatility and both are true but however I feel bland when I wear them. When your favorite colors don’t go with your complexion any suggestions?
Not that much items in my wardrobe that I regret buying. My wife really helps me decide when I'm in doubt. But I can find some examples.
When we were traveling in US we done quite large shopping in outlets. I was sure that I want some more smart clothes in my closet (I usually wear street style). I bought some blazers set in my closet for 3 years and I have never wear them, so I just sold them recently.
Recently I bought G-Star chinos which I really liked. Quite traditional look with a G-Star style twist. I do love them, the only problem is the color - navy was the only one available in my size (it was on huge sale). I do not wear navy usually, but that one was really dark, almost black. But at the end I had them on me only once, so just put them on sale. Oh well...

I regret buying 2 pairs of BR Rapid Movement Chinos a couple weeks ago. I had a tailor shorten them, and when I took them home and put them on, the length was great...but what I hadn't noticed previously is the vertical slit pockets billow out like clown pants. So now I have to sell them; they have terrible pocket design. Should've stuck with the usual BR Traveler's Pants instead, which have curved pockets.

Another slay upload! Btw. Did the ASOS trousers (you wore on Tim Dessaint Collab) hold up quality wise ? Also, have tried and rate the H & M and/or Weekday bomber jackets. A decent option - fit wise ?
They didn’t hold up at all. Terrible trousers! I would always go weekday over H&M but haven’t tried the fit

it's very hot country, can not wear bomber jacket, i feel regret becus it's too expensive but i love its style and i chosen the regret way cos of love of art over everything lol

There's nothing really wrong here except for the sunglasses and the red/beige sweatshirt with questionnable sentences on it. The acne studio grey sweatshirt looks good, as do the rest. As for me, I've bought a couple of t shirts that look more like a summer dress because they are so long, and a pair of chinos from Carhartt wip with a slim fit and low waist, two things I hate. I feel like I'm wearing leggings in them and probably wear them once a year just to remember why I never wear those. I don't bother selling them for 20 euros, might as well keep them. We do make mistakes.

My thoughts on black are opposite, after a few basics, I only buy black now if it's a really interesting silhouette. Unless it's jeans, jeans are always cool.

I feel like the hype around ALD kept people from admitting that the quality was never that good to begin with. The styling was king. Quality has definitely gotten worse on their standard items though. They usually have 1 or 2 items that are obviously the "flagship" items which are custom made with premium materials, but you have to pay an outrageous price. Like the white and black leather jacket had a lot of work put into it, but they're not doing good quality control on their shirts and chinos.
Their hoodies and sweatshirts used to be incredible quality. Had a few pieces from them that I wore a lot and lasted me years. Sold them now but they still looked almost new
Yes, all streetwear shirts, hoodies, sneakers, jeans, techwear, workwear. Nowadays it is Old Money, suits, ties, waiscoats, sport coats, polos, chinos.

Try Tom Ford sunglasses. I have a similar face shape and obviously different models will fit better than others, but overall I like the way they fit my face

So I have 3 pieces from NN07 first one I like a lot and seems to be holding up well. This piece prompted me to get the two others. Both did not last after one or two washes on cold and air dry. I believe the only reason the other is holding up is because it is wool. NN07 and Ksubi are my worst experiences with a designer brand.

great video mate. I kind of regret spending a bunch of money on a pair of 11 by BBS Bambas, kind of hard to style. But I love looking at them so much on my shoe rack, they are works of dystopian art. Does that justify spending £500 though well probably not.

Thrift stores are a good way to experiment with radically new styles for not much money. I'm looking for my first ever pair of skinny jeans lol. If I like them, I'll know more precisely what I want with an expensive pair, and if I don't like them I'm only out $10 (€9)
What do you do for a living?
I just bought the Bill from NN07. I hope they will not fade when washing or over time. Furthermore, I bought them in the grey colour, since I have been looking for ages for a good pair of smart trousers in grey that's not a pair of suit pants and more towards the chino style but still with pleating. And as you say they are really expensive, I guess time will tell.
You might be ok with the grey pair. They do different materials too so yours might be all good
I’ve found anything natural fibres that’s been heavily dyed to a dark colour always fades over time with washing (vs something that’s dry-clean only), nature of the beast. Just have to limit washing to when it’s absolutely necessary and/or look into re-dying them when the time comes if you don’t want the worn-in/vintage look.
bro says he doesn't like the cargos and the jacket but in my opinion the fit at 4:42 is one of the most fire fits I'v ever seen
