Honestly, I didn't follow Idris before The Wire...so when I heard his British accent, I almost lost it! I had no idea he wasn't American. He is an amazing actor.

I was a huge fan of The Office during its whole run, and watched it all the time on Netflix for years after. Just today (January 6, 2023), an ad popped up here on RUclips with Idris (who I immediately recognized as Charles Miner) speaking in a British accent. Ha! I had no idea! Not even just the accent, but his whole manner as an American executive was perfect.
Just a great guy all the way round.
