The irony of this is the first movie I seen him in he had a convincing american accent so I didn't even know he was British till much later.

I know he's a great actor for two reasons. One, in the office I had no idea he was British. Two, he is a super cool dude and I absolutely hated him as Charles miner. That was my only experience with him. Was hating Charles. Then I saw other stuff and I was like, damn he's good.

He can definitely do an American accent. Whoever did the commentary at the beginning of the video should’ve reworded it by saying that Idris couldn’t do one in the EARLY stages of his career.
I don't think he couldn't do one, there was probably another reason why he was dubbed here....he sounds like a tv commercial. He does such a good accent it's hard to believe he couldn't have done one for this crappy movie (or whatever it is), even if early in career.
It's the nature of click bait. nobody was ever gonna click on or pay attention to a clip about that in comparison to a clip that's much more intended to make you ask questions.
What about “daddy’s little girls” he did amazing in that movie and I never noticed that he didn’t have an American accent. Amazing actor tbh

@@Billbob-q6kI mean yeah, most Brits have particular tells even when they’re good at the accent(too strong on the r’s etc…). Idris overall was super solid, and I reckon most Americans who don’t care much about accents wouldn’t pick up the mistakes.
