Thank you Scotty. My brother thought he could add the R12 by himself but now I told him about your video and he will watch it first before trying anything. You probably saved him a lot of money. Thanks Gain!
Great - removing the drawers of my filing cabinet made it so much easier to move, and watching your video was so quick and so easy to see how to remove them. Many thanks
Thank you so much!!! I don’t have this type of cabinet but your video made me look closer and I found under the drawer a bar pulled down and pushed up the drawer viola out it came!! Game changer… thanks so much for taking the time to post the awesome video!!!
Brilliant. Now I don’t have to pass them up when I see them at a yard sale and I’m by myself. Taking the drawers out means I can carry them up the stairs to my art studio!! Thanks!!
It was a little flimsier than I expected. I had to add a 2x2 piece of wood to the bottom on the rear side in order to stabilize it better ruclips.net/user/postUgkxXTh-lz-8W6GcB219vTLp27-MxbZYObBX . It is also starting to bow a little at the outer wall ( I've had it up for about 6 months), I've already had a shelf tumble down because of the bow and the fact that the little shelf brackets are quite short. I went out to home depot and got some longer ones so that the shelves don't tumble down again. Overall, it looks very nice for the price and it holds a lot ( I use it as a pantry). I am very satisfied with my purchase. I just strongly suggest reinforcing it before putting it up.
THANK YOU. I haven't been able to properly close my drawer in months, because something got stuck around the back of it during my move. Finally, I was able to remove it. So easy, compared to what I was thinking in order to delay it.
Very helpful! We have some Staples branded Hon cabinets with a similar mechanism, except the right side lever pushes DOWN to release. Left side releases on an up push as in the video.
This worked fine for me except on Hirsh file drawers (at least mine) the latches are inverted on one side. So I had to lift up the latch on the left side and press down the latch on the right side, or maybe it was the other way around...
The video was great but your comment helped even more. I recently bought a Hirsh file cabinet and wanted to remove the bottom drawer to insert a piece of cardboard to close up the bottom of the cabinet. I pulled up on both levels, per the video, but that didn't work. After reading your comment, I went back and found that by lifting the left side lever and pushing down on the right side lever, I was able to pull the drawer out. Thanks bunches!
Mine does not work like this but I managed to get them out, I wanted mine moving from my loft room, so decided in my wisdom to lower them down a sloping ladder through the window but the knot caught on the brackets of the ladder and while I was struggling to pull the rope back up to release the knot it decided to come undone, next door neighbours must have thought it was world war 3 when that it the patio. Two metal lugs pressed inwards hold the drawers to the slide and then they clip out in an

Thanks for this video hint. Due to poor eye sight, I did not realize there were retaining clips. :)

Same here. Thanks for the tip.

Thanks so much! Will try this next. After the video’s instructions didn’t work for me I went looking for this comment! Thanks for the info :)
Mine didn't work this way. I discovered one had to be up and the other down. Left clip up, right clip down. Hope that helps someone else.
For me, only one side had a clip, and it had to be pulled up. Hope that helps someone else, too.
You're right! Thanks a lot
Thanks for this. Mine worked that way too.
Thank you. You are so much helpful
thank you, had no clue how to do this... and trying to get this beast upstairs by myself... well, I am sure you understand
Thank you so much - you just made my life easier. :)
Oh, here I am again 4 years later needing to know and finding the same video. Thank you again!
wonder if this method would work on a fireproof cabinet as well.. like a FireKIng...
Extremely helpful...Thank you.
So simple if you know the trick, thanks.
It worked. Thank you.
Very helpful!

What do I do if the drawer still won't come out?
Thank you!!!!!
Thank you so much!!!
Mine does not have that, what do i do???
Mine doesn't work like this. It has elongated rubber loops and they won't budge.

How did anyone get anything done before RUclips and the folks who post "dummy" videos like this?
W
Wrong, you lift the lock on one side and push down on the other then slide the drawer out. This video is incorrect.
