  • Does anyone know how to unfreeze a file cabinet slide? Or possibly how to remove it without using a hacksaw? There are no visibe screws or bolts. It got stuck when I shoved the drawer in really hard. Let me know if you have any ideas. Thanks

This video is from May...but in the off chance this hasn't been resolved, it looks like each rail has three long metal parts. On the working rails, the inner part slides freely. On the non-functioning rail, it looks like the inner rail snags on the secondary rail and moves it a tiny bit when you wiggled them in the video.
Wayyy in the back of the filing cabinet, it looks like there is an indented lip just before the white plastic part and it appears to be snagging on the end of the secondary rail preventing it from sliding. I think your idea of prying has some potential, but I would focus in on that indented lip on the inner rail and attempt to free it from the secondary rail.

Fully agree! When recording the the track inside at the back wall, it is apparent that the track has passed the stopper lip and it now stuck behind the lip.
Need to bend the lip to free the track or give it a big pull. then readjust rear lip or stopper.
I found this video as I am trying to find the solution for potentially the same problem.
In my case, the drawer is still in place and I cannot pull it out.
I may just have to force it open . Maybe with a prybar, from the back may be easier!
