Hello Suzanne! To keep the new core from coming out, hold the lock face in place with your fingers and pull the control key out. After the control key is removed, the lock will stay put.

Hon sent me a whole new lock, my core had come out. instead of sending a lock core key so l could just replace that , they sent the whole darn thing, no instructions and no way of removing the pin that holds the old housing for the old core grrrr any ideas anyone?
Hello! Is the current lock in the locked position? If so, you would need a key to unlock the lock. In order to replace lock cores, the locks must be in the unlocked position. Keys can be ordered on www.easykeys.com by using the lock codes from the face of the lock core. The only other option would be to drill out the lock, but then the entire lock would need to be replaced.
