1/2 tbsp salt
1/2 tbsp ground black pepper
Chilie Sauce:
Ancho Chille
Guajillo Chille
Pasilla chille
1 whole onion

1 tbsp chicken bullion
3 cups low sodium beef broth
1 chipotle pepper
1 tomato
Beef pot roast
Thyme
Bay leafs
2 more cups of low sodium beef broth
Flour tortillas
Cilantro
Mozzarella cheese
I prefer the flour bread as well. I make mine just like this but my secret ingredient is CINNAMON. Trust me it sounds wild but add you a couple table spoons to your sauce before blending. GAME CHANGER!
I added some cinnamon and garam masala to mine. It's beautiful.
Imma keep this mind
I tried this AND YOUR RIGHT SO DELICIOUS
No it actually sounds amazing! I also saw a recipe using allspice.
Yes it is
Thank you , thank you for showing us the chilies 🌶 in its original pack!!
Ok Jay, you gotta slow it down a bit. I now have a backlog of dishes that I NEED to make from your channel. Take it easy on us. (Please don’t take it easy on us. The bigger the backlog the better the options). Loving this channel for sure!
🤣 thanks Andrew 🤟🏾
As a Mexican who loves and watches your cooking. I appreciate you showing this amazing recipe. Even if you did make minor changes. This looks fireeeee!!!! 👌
Thanks bro 👌🏾🤟🏾🔥
This is probably the simplest version I’ve seen can’t wait to try!
That’s what I was just thinking 💯
Wow this is way simple than all the others ones I used
Exactly! This one lady made a tutorial as well and mentioned it takes long but is delicious. Lol I have no idea what she meant this was simple. Her video was 25 minutes long.🤦😂
Same here
The fact that you and your wife go hard in the kitchen tells me that mostly likely y’all family come to y’all house for the holidays 💪🏽😂🙌🏾
🤣🤣🤣 most definitely
I made these and they are so good!!! I did however make a few changes. Since food prices are so high right now I got the pre-cooked roast and seasoned myself. I used better than bullion Seasoning, and since I also already had burrito size Tortillas so I made burritos instead of Tacos but everything else was the same and it was amazing. Thanks for this recipe
Hm.. Never thought about the pre cooked Roast. Thnx - what tortilla shells did you use? Flour or corn?
@@dorridaowens6424 I'm sure fresh meat is best but precooked was delicious. I used flour Tortillas
Straight to the point, passion, good technique, good recipe. Top stuff, my man.
I can’t lie , I love you channel so much 💕 I watched hundred of chefs on here but hands down you are my absolute favorite .. I’m heading out to the store right now to grab a blender and ingredients 😂😭
Awww thank you so much it means alot. I can't wait for you to try
@@WhipItUpWithJay mannnnnnn , them tacos were so good that I remade them again the next day 😩😩
use chicken stock instead of water that way you dont need the fake chicken seasoning
definitely not the mexican way lol sauce to damn thick but looks great
I've made this recipe three times so far, and Friday is going to make four times. A huge favorite in our house!
I should not be watching this at 2 am but Jesus Christ those tacos look amazing.
Thank you
I definitely love the simplicity of your recipe and I’m definitely going to try this! Thank you!
You did that birra wrong with that flour tortilla
Some people love the extreme heat from the seeds, however I think it overwhelms the flavors sometimes. I only keep some seeds from the chipotle peppers
P.S. add some cumin to that spice mix next time!!!
What’s cumin do to it
@@FutureDreamZz it just adds more depth to the flavor. Only if you like cumin that is. A lot of times when I make tacos I’ll add chili powder as well. Obviously that would not be needed for this recipe!
Birria Tacos have yet to be in my mouth, because I want to make my own, and wanted to find the perfect recipe. Definitely adding this one to my list, because your videos never fail me!
Thank you
I really appreciate how easy you made this! Makes me feel more confident about cooking this dish!
Pro tip you can blanch your onions and garli with the peppers as well if you are using all of the blanching liquid. It helps keep consistancy in your adobo.
I used your recipe as a guide and it turned out amazing. Nice simple way to make them. Hardest part was smelling the pot for 3 hours.
LMAO Thats the worst especially when you're hungry.
Looks good but if your gonna do it. do it right there should be no canned anything being used. Fresh everything. Authentic
Funny, I didn't see him use one can of anything. Are you bitching about the bouillon that was in a jar?? Gimme a break...🙄
If you know what the word authentic means you should know.
@@brandyjordan4001
I do. Reply still stands.
Your thumbnails are a work of art! Along with your recipe posts .👍
Awwww your the best Mely thank you ❤❤❤
I like that your sauce is thick. Looks really good
Have to do what i can do The full chili's are hard to find in Canada I went to the bulk barn to get me some powdered
The flip of this for me that not many other places can lay claim to is..My Birria has ground beef in the sauce Because the main is Moose cubes The meat has a earthy wild taste to it with the spices and that smoke ...boom game changer And i use a slow cooker with 8 hours
My tip to you jay if you like a perfect blended drink with this ...Appleton 8 year (reserved blend) Jamaican rum with coke 1 shot 1 can 4 ice Pre freezer the bottle And have the coke cold as you can get Even get that wet glass in the freezer Pour yourself a drink as you are eatting the Tacos ......You are on flavor overload ...Molasses, Carmel smoke chocolate notes
I love food, You dont have to be rich to eat well. How funny is it that i am Native / French Canadian (Metis) watching a American on Mexican foods And giving Jamaican drink advice Find that on a 80's cook book lol Cheers !
Ok so I followed this recipe exactly and they came out great !!!!! I have an 18 shes a very picky eater and she really enjoyed these thank you !!!! ❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Birra has been my favorite Mexican dish for years traditionally it's made with goat but beef makes for a great substitute though
This is the best I’ve seen a non Mexican make birria. Looks really good. You can see the flavor.
My absolute favorite taco 🌮! I can’t wait to try this recipe! Great job!!!
It’s all about that FLAVOR as always 🔥🥵
♈😂😂😂😂🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰💓💓💓💍💍💍💍
Thank you for this video. I was looking for a video how to make tacos sauce for dipping so I can use it for my Mukbang video. Thank you so much.
I can’t wait to see the video
You got good patience bc its time consuming. making all those tacos. I couldn't get past one without me eating it lol they are so delicious.
Omgosh, I had them a year ago, at an Authentic Mexican Restaurant. They've become my favorite. I love how you're putting the love in them, as they should be. Cooking with Jay!
Thank you
Omg this is so mouthwatering 😋 and you put onions on top to make it even better WHAT?!?!? Omg I can’t wait to try these!!! These look sooo bomb, they need a better name for Tuesday than taco Tuesday because these are more than just tacos!!
Finally a video that I can understand!!! Been wanted to make this for so long.
Always flip taco once so both sides het a little blister then add filling. Only cheese and meat. Onion and cilantro added after. Niceeeee
Since we both in Florida can you sell me food🧍🏽♀️
Saw that 561🤪
🤣 I got you..message me on IG
@@WhipItUpWithJay BET
Dude these look amazing! I absolutely HAVE to make some for myself
Yes you do...they taste 10x better than they even look. Best tacos ever
How would this be with chicken? I love me some chicken tacos 😋
His wife has a recipe using chicken on her channel...looks so good.
I haven't eaten beef in YEARS but I will tah-day!! Grocery store🏃💨💨💨thank you hunny bunny
🔥🔥🔥🔥👌🏾
But Jay you are NOT MEXICAN ?
We're all mexican
Thyme is cool but you need cinnamon, clove, cummin and oregano to get the classic taste. You can also pass your adobo through a mesh strainer to remove the pulp.
Hey hey happy TGIF those tacos looks good I haven’t tried them yet!
Will try soon thank you for the tutorial 👍🙌
i add oxtails and shanks to my Birra Taco
Ive been cracking up at all the amping in this vid. I love it! Subbed, bro!
Thank bro 💯🔥
🙏💝💜💖🇯🇲 GREETNS WORLD, JAY ME KNOW THESE R GOING 2 B A HIT JUST LIKE UR CHICKEN TACOS, ELI JUST MENTIONED 2 NIGHTS AGO AND ME MADE THEM SUPER BOWL NIGHT, TU JAY, ME LOVE UR STYLE!
YUMMY!! I wish I could have one. My cholesterol level is high. Cheers
I was waiting for you to say cilantro!!! I was like TOUCHDOWN!! I love cilantro on my tacos I have yet to try a Birria taco but I’ve had the birria quesadilla and I’ve always wanted to know how the sauce was made cuz I love it and now I’m going to the store so I can get hooked !!! This is that crack taco!!!
😋😋
I had some yesterday in Chicago and I slapped everybody except my Mama😂😂😂
If I don’t make this next check MY NAME AINT WHAT IT IS!!😂😂
this is hands down the best birria recipe . I've had them quite a few times, and they were always bland. Your recipe i can tell is very flavorful. I can't wait to make this.
Can I make this in a crockpot? Following all the steps just adding in a crockpot instead of on the stove? Also no straining the peppers mix? This looks phenomenal.
OMG, I am in lovvvvvee!!!! That looks absolutely delicious and I am making this NOW! Thank you 🤩😘🥰😇
Amazing video! I can’t wait to make this! 😍🤩✍🏾✍🏾
It's so good!
Like that your consommé is thicker, reminds me of my enchilada sauce I make. I’ve had this from a restaurant here in MD and I was severely underwhelmed! I will be making these myself. I can’t wait to try these with Oaxaca cheese.
🔥🔥🔥 Food at home is always better
@@WhipItUpWithJay I made them for my whole family 😩🔥🔥🔥 They are amazing! And I love your simplified recipe! I’ve made a vegan version as well with homemade tortilla Rojas. This recipe is my go to for Birria Tacos. Thank you!
I really be needing these recipes!🔥🔥
I got you! 🤟🏾❤
Damm dude you made some 💣 birria tacos your invited to the Mexican fiesta with those skills 🥰❤
Bruh u keep it 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Jay don't miss man. This man can not miss
💯💯💯💯
How many lbs of meat do you recommend for this recipe?
2.5-3 pounds
Here in Norway you have to pay 12 bucks for just one of those chillies 😭
This easy recipe about to change my life 😮❤😭 thank you
Im making this, this weekend but with Chicken.
🔥🔥🔥
How many ingredients do you have for the chili 🌶️
😋 ❤
You should be in prison for murdering this recipe. OMG!
Yes, I understand you're supposed to get rid of the seeds inside the chili peppers, for those are the most burning hot parts of them.
I made this with just the peppers I had on hand..Serrano Poblano jalapeno and chipotle. Everything else I did to the letter and it turned out amazing! Thanks for an awesome recipe! It's fire!!
Just found your channel and love it man! I do wish there were certain measurements to stuff like meat and such so I could be exact when cooking it and not eyeball it but ima have to try some of these
Wow!.... Looks great and I'm gonna make some today. Gotta lol though, your description of everything as you make and cook everything is damn good. You really get the message across!
I am going to make this real soon that for Sharing looks delicious 😋 😋👌🏾
what a joke! not enough detail..
You can't figure it out??And you call yourself "Latinochef"...??
Now...THAT'S a joke😂
Hell nah 😂😂😂lmao
Ok Jay! Where da Partee at ?? Where the party at😍😍 these tacos aren't your average Taco Bell babey!!! These ARE💯 JAY ALA TACOS HONEY🔥🔥... I can hear Jay saying KING KONG AINT GOT NOTHING ON MY TACOS🤣🤣💕💕🤩🤩
These are going with me to the cookout party hunntee.
🤣🤣🤣🤣 im pulling up 4 sho 💯🤟🏾👌🏾❤🔥
Fuk looks killer
I tried Joshua Weismanns version and I didn’t like them . Will try your version next!
Awesome!🔥
That’s disappointing…especially given the monetary investment due to the different cuts of meats required.
What was the outcome for you? Trying to find a recipe to make.
@@ChangeInLifestyle I ended up trying Sam the cooking guys recipe and that was very good . I still plan on trying this one eventually lol
fire dude I love how you blended everything first. Other recipes show boiling for a little while before you take items out and blend just to return to the pot. This was proper.
Need this dude in my kitchen coaching/hyping me while I cook
I can't wait to try these
Leave the seeds
I'm trying to make some this weekend
My mouth is watering!! Lol
str8t bomb bro
Lucen buenísimos los tacos de birria éxitos
No cheese 😮
I hadn't heard of this dish before but now that I have I'm dying over here XD it looks so good. I can almost taste it.
Good stuff. I will be trying this next week!
How many servings do you think this is?
How many ounces is each bag of chilis??
Looks amazing. Gonna try your recipe.
I have many of them. I like the ones made with goat meat the best.
Yeah just want to know why you talk like that
Because I can
I made your recipe and loved it. It's only my wife and I at home and she can't handle anything close to spicy, so this was all for me. I had a few meals and froze the remainder of the meat and consume. The other day I made chili, using a pound of the birria meat and a pound of ground beef, along with 2 cups of the consume. I didn't have to add any other seasonings, just an onion, green pepper, a can of chili beans, and a can of crushed tomatoes. It was the best chili I have ever made or ever had! Thanks for sharing this!
I’m glad you enjoyed!
i was skeptical at first and turned in to the best !!!!
I love this
Guy the step by step description I can tell he was having lots of fun ❤❤❤❤
These are my absolute favorite tacos !! I usually have them once a week !!
what can I substitute for the chile peppers i cant have spicy foods and i dont eat red meat so can i use chicken
Yes you can absolutely use chicken, the chilies are very mild almost no spice, the only heat comes from the “chipotle in adobo sauce” that you can remove
Never had the but will soon. Wow Thanks
I’m gonna try to make this.
