This is my favorite TXR show so far this year. I think Stu Allen absolutely jammed just right. I haven't watched the ones with J. Mayer yet. I never even listen to the Dead anymore.

great american music hall "invitation only" show from 75 has always been one of my absolute favorites. the intro into Help>Slip>Franklin's alone as Bill Graham introduces the band will literally give you goosebumps - a short show, but book-ended by incredible Help>Slip>Tower to start and a 22min Blues for Allah to end.

I think Phil went from Big Brown to the solid Alembic bass called 'Mission Control'. That is the bass he is playing in the Grateful Dead movie. Great to hear Big Brown in full.

shrams23 Yeah Phil seems slightly confused about the functions of Big Brown. You cannot blame him!

Bobby Dudley Stu played in a cover band The Jones Gang in Mpls. He went to Berklee. His voice isnt as jerryesque as when I first heard him at the Red Sea 20 years ago.

not so sure they should let Stu Allen sing anymore.
