What Happened To R&B Group Dru Hill? | Why Did Woody Quit?, Sisqo's Ego, Where Did All The Money Go?

- Woody, Jazz, Nokio and Sisqo. They are the four men from the same city that came together to make up one of the best R&B groups to come out of the ‘90s, Dru Hill. Their story began with shutting down local talent shows and evolved into a very successful run full of platinum albums and top placements on the charts. Issues with their management as well as each other though, would tear them apart and leave fans wondering if things would ever be the same again.

Dru Hill definitely deserves more credit and they also deserves their flowers while they're still here
Facts 👏❤❤👏
Why do you every time think different artists deserve credit for something? Every artist deserves credit. Every singer deserves their flowers every time. I look at 1 of these videos. Your a** is always on here. Trying to give credit to some artist enough. They probably already got their credit, give it up. Post something else difference. Post other comments, not the same one over and over again. That's all played out.
As a Baltimore native, Dru Hill’s music really helped to showcase talent that lies within the city. Their music is timeless and underrated.
Dru Hill's first two albums are classics
AGREED
Amen ❤😊
I loved the second one I used to sing with my brother and sister in the living room to that we really thought we could sing and sounded a hot mess 😅.
That’s facts but low key the third album was still really good to me I liked the addition of scola
The first album is mind blowing
DrU Hill is my absolute favorite r&b groups. Waaaaaayyyyy underrated.
Who remembers when Dru Hill performed at the Labor Day Jam on Moesha?? Good times!
Yes! Love that episode ❤️
@@JuicyPopEntertainment kisses 😚😽😎❤️🤗🫂😁💡😂🤣🌍🚭😴✅🛑🥺😣😳😲😊👍😘🌉.
My oldest sister was crazyyyyy about Dru Hill back in the day lol but we can't lie Dru Hill was on 🔥 back then!
The YOU ARE EVERYTHING remix with Ja Rule and Sisqo was 🔥. That’s when videos became futuristically fun!
The original song on the album was fire too.
Yes I always loved both too the beauty ( remix) was definitely some heat 🔥.
Oh yeah the camera shots and the freeze frame motion in that you are everything video was fire.
@@musiclover-cn7tb yaaaasss!!!! That part!!!!! Miss them days!!
PREACH !! Thats the track that made me buy the "enter the dru" album. But I was so disappointed when I found out it wasn't on it
@@RenaldMusic yeah it was a slower ballad mix.
Sisqo's solo debut album Unleash the Dragon was released on the same day as Q-Tip's solo debut album Amplified and Rakim's second solo album The Master on November 30th 1999
I freakin’ loved Sisqo’s debut album!!! The second album was good too. I wish it had a more successful era!
@@AmoMe2009 lol I had it in high school.
Lol I just finished a book about Rakim go figure .
The song "Tell Me" definitely made me like Dru Hill. Might listen to their catalogue because of this vid. Thx❗️
Woody from Dru Hill also made a cameo appearance in Tyrese's Sweet Lady video along with Maia Campbell
Dru Hill out here adding new members and throwing hands like The Avengers 😂. That BET biopic is gonna be interesting. Not gonna lie, a brother got in shape hopping around like they did on Tell Me 🤣.
Nokio is an amazing writer. Dru Hill will always be my favorite group. They sound the same live. I will definitely pay to see them perform again ❤
Now I'm going to spend the next hour listening to Dru Hill. 👊 Thanks 😂
I’m not sure if I’m just having an emotional morning, but the nostalgia within this video made me tear up a few times..I guess I just miss these times
I miss R&B music and videos from this era. Glad I was a teen in the late 90s! Dru Hill made some UNFORGETTABLE ballads and dance songs! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
I miss the 90's so much!! It was an Amazing time for music!
Dru Hill is in my top five favorite R&B male groups of the '90s. They definitely deserves flowers!
Dru Hill's sophomore album Enter the Dru was released on the same day as Pras' solo debut album Ghetto Supastar, Total's second and most recent album Kima, Keisha & Pam, Faith Evans' sophomore album Keep the Faith and 112's sophomore album Room 112 on October 27th 1998
A great year for music!
Why did record companies release like this back then?
Pras album was 🗑️ garbage, so it really didn't effect it that bad.
Puffy would call other labels and see who was releasing what so that's how they would be at other artists with sales.
My Dru Hill members are Woody, Jazz, Nokio, Sisqo,
Omg my heart is racing with this one!
They were my EVERYTHING!!!
I even visited the chocolate shop they used to work at before they got famous and cried lol.
Had every poster in my room!
Thank you so much, Juicy Pop!
Omg yay!! I’m so excited for this video! Can we talk about how all them can sing and Sisqo was singing like rent was due on every other song 😂😂😂???
Can’t wait until you cover lesser known/underrated actresses like Lela Rochon 👀.
Yes! Sisqo would sing his heart out on just about every song he did 😂
@@nitaboo008 especially 5 steps, never make a promise, we're not making love no more, you are everything, and how deep is your love.
@@nitaboo008 he didn't even want to record in my bed at first but he was singing like somebody really cheated on him lol he did sing like tomorrow's rent was due😂 .
@@musiclover-cn7tb exactly! Lol
Yass another fav group of mine from the DMV 🙌🏽. They are criminally underrated as far as R&B boy bands are concerned or just boy bands in general. Their Unsung documentary was nice although when I saw Nokio do an interview the day after the documentary aired I was shocked by his appearance 😲.
Omg! You and me both.
@@JuicyPopEntertainment surprise, surprise.
Dru Hill also appeared on sitcoms such as Moesha and The Parent'Hood
Wow Nokio looks completely different now 😳 😳😳😳😳😳😳
Dru Hill’s song A Million off the Dru World Order album is by far the most underrated record in their discography!
Beauty is will always be JAM! Such beautiful lyrics 😍 ❤️
Making up Babies 👶🏿 out that song
💯
That remix tho👀
@@cjalldayonetrey7914 yes the sexy remix w case...
@@cjalldayonetrey7914 waaaaay better
Dru Hill was my favorite R&B group as a teen in the 90s! I’m so excited to see this video pop up today! Thanks for all the great work you do, and I love love LOVE the name Juicy Pop! ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥🔥🔥🔥
I wish them nothing but the best and I hope they make new music.
They are AMAZING!!!!!!! One of the best R&B groups to EVER EXIST!!!! Jazz is soooo 🔥 and Sisqo really is an R&B GOAT!! One of the BEST!!! They all deserve soooooo much more!! ❤🎉
Mama use to jam Dru Hill so much growing up but I understand why they had that shit! Definitely in my top 5 favorite R&B groups of all time! Glad you did this bout them!
I love Dru Hill back in the mid 90s when I was in school. Im glad they got the flowers.
One of my fav’s! I used to listen to their music every morning before going to school, while in high school. 😊
I was one of the other guys that founded what became Dru Hill!! It’s cool to finally see 14 Karat Harmony mentioned!! I was in the group when we first met Kevin at that talent show at Morgan. He lured us in by taking us to Burger King!! I’m glad the story is told a little more truthful!!
I love Dru Hill ❤ my favorite is woody I just wish I could see the original group one time
Dru World Order, the group's third album, WAS successful. It went Gold and scored a couple R&B and pop hits. So, Def Jam had to have dropped them for other reasons ...
Oh I love that cd.
The group couldn’t keep it together with Woody leaving again
That album was fire to me as well and I liked that they added Scola he worked well with the group.
Their Debut CD IS EXCELLENT, EVERY SONG 🎤🎹🎸🎶🎵
Dru Hill was that group!!
APRIL FLOWERS
THE LOVE WE HAD STAYS ON MIND
MEN ALWAYS REGRET were three great album cuts from Dru Hill!
It's "April Showers".
@@jayskicksnfits9372facts! And no shade to you AmoMe2009 but it’s definitely called “April Showers”. We got what you meant tho lol
@@ernestdonable2753 🤣
Dru Hill's self-titled debut album was released on the same day as Foxy Brown's debut album Ill Na Na, Flesh-n-Bone's solo debut album, Shaq's 3rd album You Can't Stop the Reign, Mobb Deep's 3rd album Hell on Earth, and Tony! Toni! Toné!'s 4th and final album House of Music on November 19th 1996
1996 was that year
Why did record companies release like this back then?
They did a KILLER cover of elton john encampment passing through... l wish l saw them in their prime, they can sang wish them the best
It's "Enchantment Passing Through".
@@jayskicksnfits9372 that spell check 🙄
Just saw them for the 3rd time, in concert last weekend. The concerts are always AMAZING ✨️✨️✨️...So excited for the biopic 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Idk why Dru World Order didn’t do great. Those two singles was good and very Dru Hill.
I regularly listen to “In My Bed” ❤❤🎶 amazing group! Seven people is absolutely ridiculous idc what anyone says
I agree! Maybe it's just me but, I've never heard of 7 part harmony. 😂
@@JuicyPopEntertainment hmmm 🤔🌹😘🌉😎❤️🤗🫂😁💡😂🤣🌍🚭😴✅🛑🥺😣😳😲😊👍.
@@JuicyPopEntertainment exactly! 😂😂
Seven does seem a bit much for a singing group.
@@kevinpayton2664 u will be shocked by Kpop groups then. The group Seventeen has 13 members 😂
Do a video on Xscape!
They had to have Nokio pouring that hot ass wax on his self and biting down on that chain in the intro... 😝😂
Yes! I had to. It's my favourite part of that video. 😂
Thank you for that Juicy!!! It's my favorite too...
@@JuicyPopEntertainment yes.
Had no idea that Babyface wrote , Never Make a Promise..No wonder that is my favorite on from them.
I was soooo in love with Sisqo! I was like 7/8. They came to Memphis and my mom shorised me with tickets to the fair where they were performing. And my obsession grew. 🤣🤣 It was also my first concert. I stressed my mom out. Anything he was on I had to have. Songs came on the radio, we couldn’t get out the car. This group had and has so much potential. It’s just sad how they broke up. I didn’t blame them for not working with the guy.
ok ok I'm a little happy now that ur talking about my all time number one fav group dru hill. I go to every concert when they on the east side. I know the choreography of every song. I know every single song they sung on a album, mix tape, and solo. Even though they aren't as popular, I still listen to there new music with the new members. I miss sisqo, nokio, big jazz, and Woody singing together.
Such a talented group!! I bought the three topping singles from the first album then ended up buying the whole cd months later!! 😂
Dru Hill definitely needs a Verzuz with Jodeci
Yes that's what I'm saying.....
Yes! I like Jodeci's music more but I think Dru Hill has probably maintained their vocal abilities better over the years.
Jagged Edge vs Dru Hill would be a better fit for me 🙈🙉🙊
Hell Yess I said the same thing myself ❤❤❤
Not.
I was their biggest french fan ! People often told me I looked like Sisqò and I couldn't be more proud back tthen
Hello everyone enjoy your day
You too #HUMPDAY
Thank you & you do the same. 😀
Yesss ❤❤❤you as well.
I’m late on this video. But I recently just got a chance to meet all the Dru hill members. Some other most humble guys ever. When I say all, I’m including the OG n new members
Gotta love these stories so much
Forgot the Genesis EP by SisQo, Christmas In Baltimore album by Dru Hill before Tao split, Nokio's mixtapes after he split, and Jazz solo song after he split.
So we just not going to mention them being on the Wild Wild West song with Will Smith? Big Will, Dru Hill
So that man was willing to risk a rap sheet over a Dru Hill autograph? Way too many people are comfortable with pulling out a gun over the dumbest stuff. Their brains need to be examined.
I know right? Crazy!
@@JuicyPopEntertainment right 👍▶️.
My fave R&B group 🥰
I still couldn't imagine what would it look like if their record label didn't shelve the music video for "Beauty"
I'm late on this post. So they did do a music video for "Beauty,". All this time, WOW!!!!!!
I love Dru Hill! Amazing talented artists all of them ❤
I have tromendous respect for these legends ie Dru Hill by Steve Irungu Jermaine
I’m so proud to know woody is my cousin. I can’t help that i didnt grow up with him because my father wasn’t around but i always wondered why i was the only one my mother side who could sing. Now i know. And we connected at my father’s funeral years ago.
I 💕💕💕Dru Hill🎤💣💥🤯

Hey Dru ,thinking back in the day ,you treated me with such respect, Remer you took me to Venice Beach and bought my grand kids n daughter sweat shirts ,I'll always ❤❤you for that .Much RESPECT.
Nothing happened to Dru Hill. I just went to see them last week. They are still together performing at a high level of course with the exception of Woody. They all sound amazing live and puts on a great show.
I will ALWAYS LOVE Dru Hill ❤❤❤🔥🔥🔥😃😃😃❤
Woody himself said that radio station fight was a HOAX lol.
They are still touring!
I’ve been waiting for this I absolutely love dru hill and I personally feel they were underrated
made me proud to be from Baltimore
Sheesh! I didn’t know all that happened. Well I like the beginning dru hill best with the original 4 members 🤷🏽♀️
I love this group!
I'm just realizing you changed the name of your page lol.
New name but, same great content! 😝
@@JuicyPopEntertainment nice.
They had a good run and it simply ended. That’s all. Music has changed now. The world has changed.
Did not know I needed this video
Thank you
Thanks for another dope video
A few key points was missed: SisQó also came out with a 3rd album called last dragon. In 2017 (i believe) they came out with a christmas album called Christmas in baltimore. First single called my favorite time of year. And along with Jazz' departure in 2018 Tao left to pursue his solo career with a single called whatever happened to love. When covid shut the world down in 2020, SisQó, smoke, and black featuring the manager Mr Peck had a RUclips podcast that aired twice a week at 2pm called SisQó live. And for the record Nokio didn't leave the group he just took some time off to reset.... you can catch up with the rest of US day one fans, family and members themselves on various dru hill fan pages on facebook where we keep u informed on what's happening and concerts and appearances. ❤
Baltimore all day!!! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Great video sis 👍🏿🙏🏿
Bmore finest 😮💨
Dru world order didn't do well???? I LOVE THAT ALBUM!!!!!
Me too

I always thought Angela Winbush's song All I Want for Christmas sounded just like Dru Hill's hit Tell Me
Can you do a video about jodeci I'm interested in wtf did Madonna do to devante swing 😮
💖💖💖💖 thanks!!
Can you do what happened to “Ace of Base” ? I wanted to know what happened to them
Stay tuned! 😉
@@JuicyPopEntertainment of course.
I haven't heard from them in years,
Money can ruin everything.
They should put the Dru Hill bio pic on Lifetime.....
#justsayin 🤷♀️
I remember me and my big bro would put soap on our hair and pretend to be Sisqo.. Goo 'ol happy days back then
I often wondered what happened to dru hill🙄
I just met the group. Talking about nice af! I've met a few celebs but dru hill is top favorite. They even gave me a business idea.
I went just went to a Dru Hill concert this pass week. What I can say is that. It could have been better. The music was good and the singers were great. Just that it wasn't long at all , it was very short. It was like a compilation of every song they ever did first verse and then the last part of the song. And it was just their show so no one opened up for them they have plenty of time to sing full-length versions of their songs and they didn't do it. It really could have been better.
I work with the group and I must say this was a very well written piece on their history. Some of the details at the end aren’t accurate, but nonetheless this was fun to watch!
I saw them live (the ORIGINAL members) years ago, they were AMAZING!
Collectively we saw great things but individually I think they knew they weren't going to last.
When they started arguing and/or fighting it's a wrap. Sisqo shoulda been solo and Jazz too. Those 2 men didn't belong in a group at all(to me). You saw he sang lead.
4:14 - 4:32 COLD BLOODED!! 🎵
8:34 I remember dat 2
Crazy....
Will always be my favorite group
These Are The Times is my absolute JAM!
The one about being a artist in the music industry, is that it's impossible to out do yourself. After your first album it's usually all downhill from there.
unless u got a good team behind u like Rihanna
