I love how people like to forget that celebrities are people. At the end of the day they deserve the same amount of respect as you would give anybody else and if you wouldn’t just run up on a stranger and shove a camera in their face or paper and a pen and ask for an autograph and why would you do that to a celebrity it’s interesting how people want celebrities to have respect for them and sign autographs and you don’t have respect for that celebrity. I can’t tell you the number of times I’ve been at a restaurant and seen a celebrity with their family trying to have dinner and fans just run up on them and they’re shoving their cameras in their face to take selfies and they’re grabbing on them and you know that’s disrespectful and it would make anybody lose their temper it would make anybody standoffish. There’s a reason that most celebrities have autographed sightings where it’s a designated time for you to get an autograph and you know shoving a camera in someone’s face while they’re walking their child in the school building is just as disrespectful people need to have the same energy
@@felicia3841 🌟✨I don't know if this ridiculous comment is directed at me, because I'm not forgetting no one, celebrity or not, are just people. That's my point, THEY seem to forget they're just people, and have a tendency to become major assholes when they get a little bit of celebrity and notoriety. The way they treated a member of their own group when he became sick, the way they treated other people who helped them with their first album, to the point where people no longer want to work with them. They're assholes who forgot they're human like everyone else. They're the ones who prove they don't deserve respect because they refuse to give it to others simply because they become famous. For me, their actions prove them to be less than regular people, because if you met a normal person on the street who treated others who helped them, worked with them, liked and admired them the way a lot of these celebrities treat the people who helped them get to where they are, they'd be labeled assholes and pieces of shit, which is exactly what I'm labeling these people. I'm not affected by people's celebrity because they can sing, dance, play sports, whatever the case may be, and I do hold them to the same standard I hold people who don't excel at those things, which is why it's disheartening to hear that they seem to think themselves above others, which again, is why I say I don't like them as PEOPLE! They are in fact, assholes.✨🌟
Considering that you responded to a post that was not at you or directed towards you I will respond and kind. That being said the entertainment industry is a business, you do not get to decide that you’re not gonna come to shows that you’re not going to perform and that you are not going to work. If you make the decision to keep your medical condition and the severity of it a secret from the members of your group then you do not look professional. And if you decide that you are not going to inform them then in response you were fired for missing shows not performing and not being a equal member of the group. That is not a betrayal that is business with the entertainment industry is a business. And the member in question has admitted himself that he did not inform the members of his group of the severity of his medical condition that is on him not on them. What brotherhood was he showing to his members when he did not inform them of his medical condition and the severity of it. Also they were young men when their first album came out and men have egos that is nothing new to be held accountable for that 30odd years later is ridiculous flat out ridiculous.
I wish the music industry cared enough about R&B to put a real budget behind finding another even REMOTELY close to this. The last R&B group we cared about what who!? Day26 ? Smh
I had a chance to see wanye and Shawn crash jo koy show in San Diego..what a cool moment it was.... 😎 I hope the best for them especially Mike bless his heart.
1:39 What a turn of events 😂😂😂 Will smith sneaking backstage to perform for will smith. But on an episode of The Fresh prince, it was Will who snuck backstage to talk to boyz 2 men.
I’ve been a fan since I was 1, literally. I have as a little girl and begged my mom to send a letter out to their fan club and got a autographed picture from all 4 members. I was so excited! Lol but I can see their arrogance. They’re an amazing group. But after II, the music didn’t hit like it used too. Also, Nathan wrote songs as well. He wrote for Case on his first album. The song is called “I think of you.” And you can hear him singing background. He seems to be the one with the most level headed but what do I know. Lol
The sad part of this video is the beginning. The 3 (Shawn, Waylan, and Nate) already felt their group was complete without Mike. So him getting sick later and not being “present” as Shawn says is telling. I’m sorry, they knew he had back issues, and felt he was present enough. Had he been drugged out, they would they claim “It was his drug use that brought us down. It’s a business, we had too part ways.” Naw, what this sounds like are 3 brothers who started singing together, decided that THEY would always be ‘Boys II Men’ and everyone else will be treated as a “removable” member. Cause Sorry NOT Sorry, it’s not BOYS II MEN without Mike!! It was HIS vocals along with the others that grabbed my attention. Damn!!
well on Iyanla's show he clearly stated that he knew and did not tell them about his illness. Think about it: at the height of their career you're falling sick, the group is missing shows because of your absence (which by the way opens them up to litigation because breach of contract), when you are there they accommodate you by all using walking sticks so you don't stand out .... and during ALLLLL that time never once you clearly state what was goin on with you? As a unit and a brand it was quite frankly in their best interest to let him go. Look, even after offering to have him return to tour but under contract that he had to stick around HE CHOSE not to do it. how would that have been fair to the others? gotta look at it from a business perspective #MyLil2Cents
The reason this doesn't hit is the fact that Marc Nelson is Nathan's best friend and a Original member. He's gone. Some things don't work. Both sides had their stories and maybe it was a little of both.
@@ShardaeCotton Yeah it's an older video. It's crazy, too bc she said it's some kind of religion that they were involved in that ok'd their relationship.
I was young when they came out, but I definitely remember their music throughout the years. Never thought they dealt with any drama behind the scene. They seemed to had it all together unlike New Edition. Still my favorite boy group. P.S. Michael Soo Fine
"We'll just go with 17 for now, since that sounds better?" Um, nothing about 16 sounds better, just ask R. Kelly 😂 But in all seriousness though, it's a shame when groups like this fall out and go their separate ways. At least we still got their hits from the 90 to keep us going.
I feel like Shawn is really the ringleader. When somebody says something that paints Mike in a bad light, it's usually him saying it. The other two don't speak up do they gotta own that too. But I did see a video where Mike and Wanya met up last year at a New Edition show and it seemed like all love between those two at least, so maybe it's not all bad with the rest.
For me, Boyz II Men is all of them together; the four members. But I understand why Michael left. He was incapacitated and it was never gonna be the same. I also understand why the other guys had to continue without Michael. But I love me some Boyz II Men. Much love from Botswana.
Boyz II Men were and still are one of the finest groups in music history. I’m grateful for their existence. It’s so bizarre to see this side. Growing up in a black country, they were huge. They were huge everywhere on the planet. They were relatable as they weren’t as jarring as most of the hiphop scene was. So anyone from any black country related to them instantly in contrast to the self degrading and violence that permeated throughout the rap scene. I have fond memories of listening to their music and loving black women. I can’t imagine what the internalized perception of what a black woman is for black boys in America today who are being raised by rap. I’m just grateful this type of music was prominent at the crucial age in my life when I was forming thoughts about women, self worth and my place in a given society. Having educated in america and seeing how hiphop poisoned the minds of young black boys and girls, never have I been so determined and adamant about why it is paramount modern hiphop should have no place in the culture and thoughts of black people who run their own country and make up the majority of a given place. Whether they are in the Caribbean, Africa or elsewhere modern hiphop is rooted in anti black values that is detrimental to our existence as a people. Thank you Boyz II Men for being who you were.

I liked their song from one of their later albums,"Doin just fine", played the hell out that song. Me and my brother both bought the one with all their names on it. Surprised the sells was so low.
Their cd Boyz 2 Men was the first cd I got as a kid. I loved listening to their vocals. Their music always brings back memories of my childhood.
I was in 3rd grade when they came out and once I was graduating in 2001 high school they was starting to all off. I can remember 4 seasons being their last big hit.
Boyz II Men also performed On Bended Knee on New York Undercover season 1 episode 9 The Friendly Neighborhood Dealer
Sylvia 'bloody' Rhone!!! Don't get me started!
I was 19 when their first album dropped and I bought it. I can't believe I am now 50 and that album is still as fresh as it was when I bought it.
And also props to Lionel C. Martin AKA the Vid Kid for directing Boyz II Men's earlier music videos
Love these stories so much
Treach, Craig Mack, Busta Rhymes, and Method Man appeared on the remix to Boyz II Men's song Vibin

The 90s was a great years for Group R&B.....such as "Boyz Ii Men", "Next", "H-Town", "MoKenStef", " TLC", "Brownstone", "Total", "112" & "Mint Condition"....I hate to sound like my grand dad but R&B of my era (The 70's, The 80's & the 90'e) did sing about love or getting to romance that popular girl you always wanted....Now today's "R&B " isn't the same ... But never less, every era has its moments......
❤️🔥🔥🧊🔥❤️🔥🧊🔥❤️🔥🧊
Shawn Stockman's song Hot Thing was heard in the movie Seventeen Again starring Tia, Tamera and Tahj Mowry
He did three songs for that movie and they all slapped.
They still tour and have a massive fan base. I think they are doing great.
One of the best r and b groups ever!!!
Thanks for this. I grew up in the early 90s and my mom was obsessed with them!!
I love your content so damn much. Am I tripping or was the channel called something else? Maybe it was a logo change? Idk man. I might be losing it.
It was “Let’s Get To The Root”
@@FaridaDawkinsYY you are the real MVP. Thank you!
Whew the 90’s was so competitive and messy lol
It is a circus
My dad went to school with them. He says they were always down to earth ❤
I just knew that you all would mention Wanye's sons and their singing group. While I know of the Brandy and Adina (The Boy is Mine Feud), I just didn't think it would be mentioned in this video.
🌟✨Learning the behind-the-scenes happenings that I didn't know about these groups through these videos really makes me not like them as people a lot of the times. So many of them turn out to be just bad people. Really unlikeable in my opinion.✨🌟
All r&b groups had they issues jodeci aswell it doesn't bother me these guy's are human no different when we not nice to everyone I don't put high Hope's into celebrities anymore I never did no celebrity are very nice
Yep....truth sometimes isn't pretty but it is always necessary. At least that is what I believe.
I meet Mike in a club before he became famous, he told me they were forming a group. Gave him a ride home.
One of my favorite groups!! ❤️❤️
I wish the music industry cared enough about R&B to put a real budget behind finding another even REMOTELY close to this. The last R&B group we cared about what who!? Day26 ? Smh
Visions Of A Sunset is one of the most beautiful songs ever written
One of the best groups of all time!
I had a chance to see wanye and Shawn crash jo koy show in San Diego..what a cool moment it was.... 😎 I hope the best for them especially Mike bless his heart.

What a turn of events 😂😂😂
Will smith sneaking backstage to perform for will smith.
Lol
They haven't sound the same since he left
I LOVE LOVE LOVE your commentary💕 this and RRG are my go tos for celebrity pop culture ❤

Mike had his health issues but he was also missing shows and he also got into a physical fight with Shawn
I'M STILL IN LOVE WITH WANYA TIL THIS VERY DAY!
this is 😮...I always thought Boyz 2 Men were the drama free good boys of r&b compared to jodeci, the bad boys of r&b. 😅 God Bless Them.
i love love boys 2 men, best RnB group.u guys are my favourite love from Kenya.
Boys II Men seriously deserve a biopic.
They'll have to tell it all. Shawn cheated on his wife.
@@keepsit100atalltime9 I didn’t know Shawn cheated on his wife.
@@ShardaeCotton Yep. I just recently found up. Idk if you listen to Tasha K but one of the ladies was on her show before.
@@keepsit100atalltime9 I need to check that out.
@@ShardaeCotton Yeah it's an older video. It's crazy, too bc she said it's some kind of religion that they were involved in that ok'd their relationship.
Saw them with Stephen Colbert and they still got it!
I was young when they came out, but I definitely remember their music throughout the years. Never thought they dealt with any drama behind the scene. They seemed to had it all together unlike New Edition. Still my favorite boy group.
P.S. Michael Soo Fine
one of my fav groups of all times hands down
they need to tone down the ego tho lol
My beloved grandmother always said: When have an EGO, you Ease God Out
Boys to men is a still one of most successful boy bands.
We need to show more of the love we all love to hear and sing about. All of us.
And don't forget Charlie Mack also appeared on that same Fresh Prince episode with Boyz II Men
@7:20 Signing that distribution deal with Sony is what killed their careers.
They got really successful really fast, which naturally went to their heads.
God bless Boyz II Men.
I always wonder if Marc Nelson regrets not being with Boyz to mean.
I never knew Wanye and Nathan Morris wasn't related. Lls wow, learn something new everyday!
"We'll just go with 17 for now, since that sounds better?"
Um, nothing about 16 sounds better, just ask R. Kelly 😂
But in all seriousness though, it's a shame when groups like this fall out and go their separate ways. At least we still got their hits from the 90 to keep us going.
I heard that and was like, "WTF?"
dudes be liking them little girls. I'll take an experience woman over a little rookie any day of the week

@@pa.encema2821 Nope, just nothing new or shocking.
This was informative and all but I need the name of the beat in the background. It’s TOUGH!
I remember their 2009 album named Love which featured covers of legendary 1980's songs like Journey's Open Arms and Cyndi Lauper's Time After Time
Don’t forget Boyz II Men Christmas song Let it Snow featuring Brian McKnight.
It’s a shame bc they STILL have the talent to make great music. Bring the 90s back!! Btw, “Under the Streetlight” is an amazing composition of music.
