There are two things in this video that many people are confused about. Restating what was said in the video here, for clarification. 1. SWV did go by the name TLC before they changed their name. TLC was their name (Taj, Lelee, Coko) before they changed it to SWV due to receiving a cease and desist from the group we now know as TLC. Hence why we said “before”. They’ve said it many times in various interviews. 2. Dru Hill was signed to a black owned record label called UNIVERSITY MUSIC GROUP, not Universal. Hence why Sisqo called it a "teeny weeny" deal. They then went on to sign to Island Records (Island Black) and then Def Soul. We encourage everyone to do their own research, but we got our facts right on this one...
This is so well done. Dru Hill’s first two albums are absolute classics. They are second only to Jodeci, in my heart and to my ears. I still keep those first two albums and Sisqo’s first solo album in regular rotation. These men are so talented and they can SANG their faces off! 🙌🫶
