Grown women, in trouble for going out for French Fries??? 😠
As a fellow Sagittarius moon, that need for freedom is so key. Also, I can’t help but hurt for Phyllis and Whitney, both suppressed and pit against each other while being the only two women that could relate to what each other was going through, from their careers to their sexualities. The way addiction creates paranoia coupled with the competitive energy in the industry, it’s sad knowing how good of friends they should’ve been had they not been constantly robbed of their dignity and self confidence.
This wad really well done. I watched to see how Cosby tied into her story. I didn’t know much about Phylis’s beyond her name as an early R&B artist mentioned from time to time. I’m a millennial who loves late 80s R&B and on. Right before she said it I gave in and had to know her sun sign. I had a strong pull that she was a Cancer. I was right, though I didn’t want to be. I was curious about the rest of her chart know there had to be some fire in there. I was hoping I’d find an astrological breakdown after watching this but she shared Sag moon & rising. This all makes so much sense and is incredibly tragic but probably fated in many ways. Her autonomy was important to her, respect was important her. She actually sounds like a true feminist. She just couldn’t find the balance, the safety in community that validated her experience. Gorgeous woman. As true feminist she took her fate in her hands. RIP Queen ❤ Side note: I’m a huge Whitney fan and though I’m a Cancer myself I’m glad Whitney Leo really Leo’d and told that Cancer Sagittarius Phyliss what is was 😆 Don’t start none, won’t be none. Lesson in humility and conquering your insecurities. She should have welcomed the young queen but I empathize that Clove was probably antagonizing her with Whitney.
mariah carey next.
please do a mariah piece
Clive Davis …….
Believe it or not Rodney jerkins my cousin on my mom side
Rio, friend. --your soundboard queen.🎉❤😢😂😮😅😊❤🎉
We need a nicki documentary
To think theses guys came from gospel is absolutely hilarious 😂😂😂😂
Thank you so much for this.
She probably was bipolar, mentally illness seem to have plagued her.
I am 4 years younger than Foxy and 1) You could not have told me that her and Brandy were the same age 2) Yes, we want to hear all the charges, or convictions 😂
Well once Clive Davis comes on the scene…🙂↔️🙅🏽♀️
I want keke Wyatt to playbher in a biopic
See how Clive is still alive but Phyllis and Whitney are dead???
I was a teenager when how does it feel came out, babbbbby I tried looking TV... 🙄😭 I love his music, I wish him well ❤
I love Miss Mary!!! A true diamond!
She’s so stunning and absolutely beautiful! She did amazing in her career and I wish that she was proud of it all. ❤️😭
Clive is evil
I bought the My Life album in January '95 and it never had left my collection. I also got the waiting to exhale soundtrack cause of her, share my world, matter of fact I bought every album through growing pains.
How sad 😢she was so beautiful, just didn't receive the therapy she needed
Man she could sing. Such a treasure.
Oh wow she was supposed to play shug but they ended up going with someone else wow .
@11:49 nooo eazy e he got you too? Lol
I highly suspect her college choir teacher was also abusing that position for his own needs
HE IS A BEAUTIFUL MAN.. LOVE HIS MIND.. 🫶🏽💜🫶🏽💜🫶🏽💜🎵🫶🏽💜🎶💜🎼💜💜
Most cancers Are Beautiful but battle a lot of mood disorders not all (I’m speaking from experience and what I’ve seen )idk why but they are deeply insecure and usually have drug problems but they are very fashionable they like luxury things like libras I have a sag rising as well ❤R.I.P Ms Hyman
Dnt take your personal situation with a whole different situation. It’s big money when a artist pass away under a evil company. A company who pays their doctors to diagnose the artist n the media to create narratives
@ that’s why I said I’m speaking from “MY”experience….
She lost her idol on her birthday?! That absolutely sucks. It will never be the same. The trauma😢🕊️
The industry chews I up n spits ya out
All most like "The Billie Holiday Story." Very sad story
Poor Phyllis Hyman, she was another victim of Whitney Houston success.
When is that playing in the background at 12 minutes
These really good, reminds me of Unsung! I hope you keep making them.
"Never had a love of his own" ? Well not that we know of anyway.
What kills me is that Brandy’s mom judged Aaliyah but ended up doing the same thing Aaliyah’s parents did. Brandy should’ve never been close to a 22 year old ADULT. They let that happen just like Aaliyah’s parents let the Rkelly thing happen. Different sides of the same damn coin! Wanya and Rkelly are the SAME.
RIP Phyllis
Great ,i never heard of her& i love this documentary.keep it coming,Merry Christmas 🎄, Happy Holidays and May God bless 🙏🏽💯💪🏽😊❤️🏁🎶
Clive will receive what given Whitney and phyllis
Black People Need to Stick to their Own People to make them Money.
Black People Need to Stick to their Own People to make them Money.
They Both Marry to a Younger Man, That was also a SET UP Whitney Houston Should Have Stayed in the Church and Serve the Lord, She would Still be Alive Today Singing and Praising the Lord like CeCe Wynans.
And that's the Same Way they Accused Whitney Houston Husband, Bobby Brown for Introducing Whitney Houston to Drugs, When it was Her Associates, First thing they did to Whitney Houston Was to get her on drugs and Make her Life Unstable So they Can Labled her as Difficult and Out of Control, So when she Died All Kind of Speculations Can Surrounded her Death, And Nobody Would Held Responsible for Her Death. Phillis Life and Death Played Out The Same Way Whitney Houston Life and Death Played Out. Why are People Afraid to Come Forward and Tell the Truth, Somebody Knows Something.
Are You Serious? She was Suppose to sing at the Apollo Theater that Same Night she Died??? Thats the Exact Same Way Whitney Houston Died. Oh My God; Why Has Anybody Charged for Whitney Houston and her Daughter Bobby Brown's Death? These Three Women's Death, was NOT An Accident, I SMELL MURDER. Somebody MURDERED Those Three Women. I Hope Those Who are Responsible for Their Death, ROT In Hell. Their Addictions Was Not Self Inflected, Somebody Tricked them Into taking that Drugs And they Got HOOKED, Without them Knowing. These Animals In the Music Business, are the Devil.
I watched unsung’s episode on Phyllis Hyman. It’s crazy how she didn’t get the success she deserved, I love “living all alone” and “you know how to love me”
This is a great documentary (as the UNSUNG version); Thank you!
In other words, Kendu didn't stop s!#&t... lol
look in another perspective, Tommy protected Mariah from ppl like Diddy.
Foxy Brown is GORGEOUS!! Lil' Kim was gorgeous before the bleaching & surgeries 😢. It's heartbreaking they didn't feel beautiful growing up. Their melanated skin is beautiful! Lauryn Hill is another beautiful woman!
A lot of music pimping with a legend. Her upbringing didn’t help either. Still, another sad story, with a beautiful voice, in an environment full of toxic people, not meant for the weak and gullible.
