Nice review Aaron! I just bought the Ark Card wallet a few months ago, I was on the X-PAC fever, you know 😂. It looks very cool but honestly I struggled a lot because it’s very hard and rigid, I just put 2 cards only on each side, and it was nice, until I tried to put a single folded bill inside. It was extremely difficult to pull it out (that’s what she said 😂) and the same to put it in. It was necessary for me to pull out the cards first in order to put the bill in or out. I ended up coming back to my old Bellroy Card Pocket.
I think the the card wallet is awesome, been using it over a year now but you need to wear it in. When you initial get the wallet, it's really tight and stiff and the cards are hard to get out. Almost gave up on it bur after a few months of use, it loosen up and now is my favorite. The little alpaca inside the bill holder is a cool Easter egg.
Not considering the price i'd say the pioneer wallets are a very good alternative too, at least i love mine and it still looks like new after 3 years of daily wearing.
Aarroonn do a most comfortable backpacks vid or best shoulder straps vid. Get Tab along too for another opinion (he is very whiney about comfort right)
Im able to get either the Bellroy Melbourne Compact or Aer Day Pack 2 for 100 USD each. What would ypu recommend for EDC? Will watch your reviews but wdyt?
I am trying to decide between the Bellroy Slim Sleeve and the Alpaka Ark Bifold wallet. Is the Bellroy Slim Sleeve noticeably smaller? Which would fit better in front pocket?

From my experience the card wallet kinda squeezed in and bent all my cards. Something to keep in mind or pick the Bifold instead

Just got the up cardholder and it’s super tight. Hope it loosens. Up over time. A cutout would be nice to enable you to push the cards up
Agreed, it’s a great wallet but it’s TIGHT
I think most cardholder leather supposed to be tight to hold card securely. My Pularys card leather wallet is also tight.. that’s what she said 🤭

IMO, xpac is too stiff and not pliable enough for a wallet. It doesn't conform around anything and will bulge out a lot when stuffed.
This is a fair criticism
Bifolds shouldnt require you to fold bills (or have money clip) imo.
Best minimalist/functional bifold i tried and currently use is the slimfold micro

Both fit great. The Alpaka is a bit smaller, but the XPAC materials are tight. For me, the Bellroy wins
