Today I am sharing my swatch and review of the I Scream Nails Fortune Tellers nail polish collection from February 2024 - there are 6 metallic flakie nail polishes that supposedly reach full coverage?! But I also tested them out as toppers, and let me tell you I was shocked! What do you think of these??

These are almost like a colored mirror!! So pretty. I bet if you did a thin coat of a similar color underneath and then 2 coats of this on top... it would be 100% full coverage, and you wouldn't be able to tell. These are gorgeous toppers!!
Totally agree, I was thinking of pairing them with metallic bases for optimal shine!!
@KelliMarissa See great minds thinking alike. I was thinking the same thing. Could you just imagine these pretty polishes over slightly darker or lighter of the same shade or contrasting shade. Or one coat of each for a total party on the nail... Oh, by the way, I'm buying them. 3rd collection so far this year. I may need a second mortgage by the end of the year to afford my nail polish addiction.
Yes! That's the way I would use them. Maybe even two thin coats of undies followed by one thin coat of the metallic flakies (I prefer a more sparse look).

There is just something so special about flakies, I love all polish finishes but nothing gets me like a good flakie 🤩 These are so pretty, I really love them over black too, especially the red! ❤️ but I also love the shade of green they went with!!
Yess the red and the green are easily my favorites! But the blue over black is just gorgeous!
Past Present Future reminds me of Starrily's Bellatrix,which is sitting in my nail polish rack waiting for its moment in the sun on St. Patrick's Day.
Yess that's the one I meant when I mentioned Starrily haha! I always wear it for St Paddys!
The devils card over black was stunning 😍. I immediately fell in love ❤️. Physcic power would be good topper over a blue for a winter snowflake ❄️ manicure

So glad you posted a review for these. I was hoping they were kinda like the frosted metals from Holo Taco. But I think they work more like toppers than full coverage polishes.
Yeah definitely a bit of a different vibe imo!!
Ugh, that’s exactly what I was hoping for - I adore the Holo Taco frosted metals (Julep also had a similar formula). I haven’t found anything else on the market that’s like it right now, and it’s by far my favorite formula. (Ended up buying two fake dates during The Purge, and am kicking myself for the couple I missed!)
My brain always spots tiny details like patchy finishes & it bugs me so much. That why I didn't bother buying any of these because I could see in their product photos that they didn't do what they claimed. And I know it is possible to get a full coverage flaky polish. Like the green one that came in the mini halloween set Clionadh polish released last year. It was nearly fully opaque in the first coat. I'm gutted it wasn't a full size bottle because 6ml of it is just not enough. Its such a beautiful yellow leaning green.

I feel like the best technique to get the glitter full coverage is to sponge it on, that’s what I do. Though sometimes it gets very textured

Rogue Lacquer has had metallic flake toppers with this same exact color palette, so it’s easy for me to skip out on this since I have some of those. I think they’re just advertised as toppers, but I’ve built them up in swatches and it achieves the same look!! But yeah, I thought the same exact color palette and finish from both brands is interesting…
Awesome coordination of Australian nail polish and Australian marsupial in the one video. I use a lot of my IScream Nails polishes as toppers and the magnetics as gradients. That red is divine as a topper.

Pretty! Favs are red (which is crazy for me because red is not usually a go to for me), green, and blue. They are all amazing over black.

Ah these are such pretty colours, but I'm not a fan of them on their own, well the rose gold was good, but as toppers they are stunning, I would definitely wear them as toppers

I looove this collection! I recommend what I’ve been doing - for example with the blue in putting it on top of a darker blue. Looks amazing! I think these would all be great over their corresponding colors!😁

These would also be nice with a coordinating colour underneath - then you can do two coats and get the flaky effect without worrying about coverage!

I bought this entire collection and they are so pretty. Wore Devil Card for Valentine's Day as an accent nail with pink and red hearts on my other nails and just loved it!
I think I'd get the red one, I'm a renaissance faire nerd and on fantasy weekend I do a star wars sith look, and that red/black combo is exactly what I need. Also, thank you for the KBShimmer top coat recommendation a little while ago. It's still not quite as shiny as the super glossy holo taco but it dries so fast, I love it!!

I like these best as toppers or if you are just going for a scattered look. One way to get full coverage would be to find a matching base coat color and put them over that as a topper. I'm curious to see how they would look over the matching color iridescent by this brand like Hand of Fate paired with Time to Shine or Good Fortune paired with Kaleidoscope for green gold look.

I appreciate the toppers that melt in. I think rose gold is a great choice for spring over orange, but isn't it summer in Australia? Anyway, I love rose gold. I hope you post a fun St. Patrick's Day mani with Good Fortune on your shorts. I think for some of these you just make it easy on yourself and put a matching OPI, Morgan Taylor or Orly creme under it.

I love this collection. Hand of Fate is in this week's palette as a topper. I want to experiment with layering and sheer jellies and see what happens. Also I want to try "duping" the Holo Taco Frosted Metals using these and other polishes.

Definitely more tedious than regular polish but easier than glitters for sure!

I like them as toppers - not so much on their own. I think they actually look better at “not full coverage” if used alone.

These are great! I would probably wear them in one or two coats over another polish (for myself!). And I can totally see you as a Sugar Glider, lol!
My sugar glider was defective and was not social. We did all the recommended tip and if he was out of the cage - away he went 😂 15:19

Honestly... not for me. I felt like these polishes are only good by sponging and I don't have the patience for that a, so I'm glad you got them on the usual way! I think getting it off would be a nightmare, though lol

I would like to be a giraffe for a year. I’m short and every time I go to a concert, without fail, a tall basketball player type person is in front of me. I realize I wouldn’t be going to concerts as a giraffe, but I would be tall enough to see great distances and wouldn’t have my view blocked so frequently.
