OnePlus 12,oppo, vivo, honor etc phone have that feature but they have a worse one where two separate login like you can have two fingers as your main and another finger as a separate from your main login and I can login and give you my phone and no none of the app that I use won't be having my login credential on it or any of my past activity and then take it back to you and login on my main screen and use it like it's nothing it's crazy plus that private folder we have that it's called system clone look it up when you have a chance

MyScript nebo, PhotoMath, Microsoft Math, OneNote Math, etc existed ages ago with less strict hardware requirements

So I research in AI and I don't think the general populous will understand this but the real groundbreaking aspect of this WWDC is the AI semantic modelling. Apple vertical integration striking again. Models are all great but this stitching is what is nuts
All these non developers/engineers literally kill my brain cells when they speak! As an* iOS+Android developer, No one here understands how groundbreaking this wwdc was!
As a hardware design engineer I do not understand the hype for AI, though as a shovel maker I'm fairly neutral on the current goldrush.
I would love to hear more of the possibilities though. You mentioned this presentation being ground-breaking, could you tell us more ?
I would also love to be able to dump some truly tedious tasks onto computers one day, compiling years of experience and thousands of pages of rules and information to correctly route DDR memory is super not fun

Turns out I cannot use Apple Intelligence on my 13 Pro .. only available to 15 Pro models. Nice Apple.
Shouldn't be a shock, these are very computationally intensive models

I agree, the m4 iPad just lost a lot of value in my opinion. The 15 pro gained value since they are the only current iPhone that will get the A.I. features.
@@jayh40515I’m sad to hear that, since it has an amazing hardware. I sold my M1 on march since the iPad software is depressing. Was looking forward for the M4, but now with this event and the amazing hardware available, I ended up with the conclusion that the iPad is not for me anymore
However, I have the 14 pro and it’s unfortunate that AI is not making it on my device. Looking forward to the 16 pro this year

They should have allowed the iPad Pro have macOS when connected to the Magic Keyboard. That would have been a feature worth having
The thing is that would eat too much into macbook sales since there would be basically not many reasons to buy a macbook especially since ipad would have touchscreen over the macbook, so that decision not to put it in I understand. I agree it would be cool though

Well you only get the A.I. if you have the 15 pro, so Apple is still trying to milk people for their money. Have a 14 pro or 15 base model? Sorry, you have to upgrade to get half the iOS 18 features. I have the 12 pro, not upgrading to use Chat Gpt, way more impressed with Gemini.

Or how it can use sentences describing tomatoes to use your image and create a fun photo out of it to send to your friends when you’re trying to say “going to grocery run and I’ll be back with all the tomatoes you’ll ever need”!?
Not trying to be dismissive here, just saying that you should definitely watch the whole event before you form any judgement because these guys did a really bad job at reviewing/summarizing. They’re just trying to act funny/dumb for clicks and engagement

I kinda raged when they announced customizable icons and an actual window manger. Both features that should have been there forever ago and instead of rejoicing there finally here I just got mad. Maybe because I’m planning to finally switch away from iPhone and Mac soon. The controlling your phone from mac is pretty cool though

I think the only way I will update any of my devices is if I can turn off "Apple Intelligence" from trying to use a cloud server at all. If it cant run on device I don't want it.
apple can't run out of ideas until others run out of ideas for apple to cobble together in a 'better' consumer product with a trademark patent and copyright that's hard to fight. The world is chuck full of ideas for the podding, they won't phone it in mac.

3:00 - Intel Macs including 2019 iMac, 2017 iMac Pro, 2018 Mac mini, 2018/2019 MacBook Pro, 2019 Mac Pro and the final Intel MacBook Air all support macOS Sequoia. Almost the exact same compatibility as Sonoma.

I was hoping that they would make changes to iPad OS for the iPad Pro to bring Mac features and an improved file manager to it. Hell, I would have been happy with a mirrored Mac OS desktop on the iPad Pro. The rest of the changes were cosmetic and very little functional changes to iPad OS. The Apple Intelligence is a nice step forward but None of the critics of iPad OS got anything to satisfy them.
Very underrated this year I don’t know if I wanna update to the iPhone 16. This is my year.
I haven't turned on any phone ai features. I dont really trust it currently. I like it being something separate I have to activate and choose when to use it. Not something always running and with access to everything in my phone.

The best feature in iOS 18, you can FINALLY change the two shortcuts on the Lock Screen.
IPad OS 18 gives some good features (testing the beta) but I'll never use the icon tinting feature, and the drawing calculator feature is cool if you do a lot of math, but not something I'll ever use beyond the novelty of trying it a few times.

Never bought an Apple product and I never will, (for me).
Legit was wanting a Vision Pro by the end of the WWDC Keynote. Apple did a great job reminding everyone that their ecosystem is par none and that they aren't overpriced, you're buying continued software support with your hardware. More than just security updates.

For me, if I could design the next series of updates for Apple,I wish instead they could work on the hardware side. Like I want a larger and longer lasting battery, more storage, and be able to withstand hotter and colder temps. I don’t want to get in my hot car on a 110f day and then have my phone shut down after a half hour/hour time. A then also have it be akin to the size of iPhone 12 mini. I’m okay getting thicker lol.
As an apple user, Im excited about some of the things coming. Sure android has had it for a decade. But, still i like the locking of apps. HOWEVER, the calculator on the iPad is AWESOME. Not for the calculator, but the fact it being able to solve equations and recognize variables. Now they need a "Pro" iPad Mini, for the notes scribble wiring part and this.

I think it WWDC 24 was a major letdown A.I. wise. It's insane to me that people with the 14 pro will not even get the A.I. features is crazy to me. No circle to search feature, no split screen, can't change the shape of your icons or use A.I. to make unique wallpapers, no type of magic eraser for photos, etc. Not to mention the people who bought the M4 iPad's had to of had a major letdown. Anyone that thought Apple would finally make iPad OS more like MacOs, not happening.
I run local LLMs and Stable Diffusion locally. A LLM can take anywhere from 1-16 gigs of RAM for the most publically availible models like Phi-3 and LLama 3. But thats only running ONE, if I want to run multiple instances of the LLM and have a few different ones loaded on deck for a different toned reaponse, I need 24 gigs MINIMIM. VRAM is so key as well. With a vision model loaded, I legit can fill up my RAM
Long atory short, 16gb really is the MINIMUM for this tech, not a "comfortable middle ground".
the fact that my 9 month old iphone 15 dose not support the latest software addition is outrageous.
The fact that we no longer have to use our brains with a lot of things is terrifying, and I fear for the generations going thru school right now.

Its not the matter of customization, its the matter of being able to put icons anywhere on the screen without doing weird stuffs like using widgets to push everything down.
Honestly, might want to try an iphone when Iphone 16 launched. My biggest want right now is literally, just ability to have 2 Apple accounts in one device. That's it.
AI is coming for us all and we just need to allow it into our thoughts at this point. And Calculator stole the show for real.

Thinking about this. I’m really curious on the privacy concerns of AI integrated platform wide. Seems like there could eventually be zero day exploits with a Trojan horse app that makes it past review, to grab everything on the device and upload it.
Nah they just create Perceived Obsolescence by making thing seem new and better and more innovative so you buy the latest coolest thing, it's marketing to the bone aka manipulating the consumer

Liked the calc free wolfram alternative for serious math problems. Would be happy if we could get Xcode or some thing for native programming i mean there are some apps for light code eddit but we can 3d model make movies so it would be nice to get some bigger coding done😅 but i doupt it will be possible any time soon

@@HypeXeskmy 15 pro max came out to 2,000$ with apple care plus and taxes my one plus open cost a bit less but is a all around better buy I didn't get a warranty with it so it helps apple is as basic as it gets

That’s what I’m saying. It’s becoming more and more demanding so giving minimum ram isn’t going to work to well. I am guessing only the pro will have the AI features and the regular iPhone will be like every other year.

Apple Intelligence sounds like something that measures or is comparable to the mental capabilities of an apple.
Definitely not out of ideas iOS 18 is sweet !!! They can’t just throw everything out there at once some of what they do is similar to others but with the Apple touch which makes it unique and interesting

I think apple is promoting 15+ pro model for AI use is on purpose. RAM capacity isn’t a thing as long as silicon chips can cover extra ram needs with memory swap methodology. Take as an example the new M3 Pro, it has just 8gigs of ram. Isn’t gonna be long lasting enough? I bet it will.

A few days before this recording Best buy had refurbished Apple Air notebooks on sale for $300. Before I clicked buy, I checked the reviews. Immediately: worst MacBook, dumpster fire, and trash came up. They sold out. Now on top of that none of those people will be able to use the new features because it was Intel based. Oh best buy you sly dog you.
Considering how the base iPhones are the last generation pro chips, all the 16’s will probably work with the ai and every new phone moving forward. Making the 15 pro the first and soon to be weakest iPhone to utilize it.

Im convinced that pretty much everyone at Apple must be waiting for a fuckin flood with all the high waters worn in that direct…but on another note as soon as the Vision Pro drops in Canada it’s gonna be somewhere around $5500 plus another $700+ for Apple Care and that’s just for the base model. I’m predicting a whopping 500 sales nationwide on that thing. Whatever ya do don’t buy it from Best Buy over here. They don’t accept returns on opened headsets 👌🏻
