    This was David's touring band.
    Jac Murphy - piano
    Richard Greene - fiddle
    Norton Buffalo - harmonica/bg vocals
    Chris Mickie - guitar/bg vocals
    Andy Kulberg - bass
    Jimmy Hodder - drums
David - acoustic guitar and vocals
All of these guys were amazing musicians and equally nice humans. They all were touring/studio musicians for "A" listers back in the day. To list a few:
Jimmy Hodder - Steely Dan, etc.
Chris Mickie - Boz Scaggs, Pointer Sisters(?), etc
Andy Kulberg - Blues Project, etc.
Jac Murphy - resident pianist at Caribou Ranch Studios, etc.
Richard Greene - can be heard on Rod Stewarts, 'You're In My Heart'
    You all know about Norton.
David had a hit with "Don't Give Up On Us' here in the states back in 1976/77. He was a big draw in other countries. Europe, South America, Japan, etc. Played large sold out venues.
During those times, the core of the band remained as some musicians were added if the core couldn't make the gig. A few of those additional musicians were: Scott Page, Doug Livingston, and Merle Bregante.
Unfortunately, Jac Murphy, Chris Mickie, Andy Kulberg, Jimmy Hodder, and Norton have all passed. Hopefully, they've reunited in another realm.

Thank you for the great info !
When my time comes, I want to give Norton a great big thankful hug... I started playing harmonica in 1978 after watching him on an Austin City Limits TV episode... went out the next day to buy my first harmonica, and to search for his two solo albums, "Lovin' in the Valley of the Moon", and "Desert Horizon" in all the local record stores !

I really have to stop watching David Soul videos for a while not because they're bad or anything just because it's really making me sad to know he's no longer physically with us😢
But on the other hand they do make me laugh alot at the same time so feelings are mixed right now.
Still love and miss you David you truly were one in a million ❤

@@airmojo Just yesterday I discovered Bob Sutton (the kennel keeper, from “Dogpound Shuffle”) in the 1977 horror short, “THE SITTER” (which later became “When a Stranger Calls”).
Good old Bob only appears for a few seconds, but I loved seeing him.😀👍

We can only hope Norton got paid well for this brief appearance; maybe the format crops the actor's picking fingers, but looks like only the backup musicians are real players.

Norton was friends with David Soul, so I'm sure he got paid something good... check out my video of excerpts from the "Dogpound Shuffle" movie where David plays a harmonica player... dubbed by Norton Buffalo.

They are all real players. That was David playing his part as well. This was his touring band/friends. And yes they all got paid very well.

Wasn’t David a guitarist as well? He is shown playing in several episodes and I know he played in concert.

More than likely, yes... Have you ever watched him in the movie "Dogpound Shuffle" ?
He looks like he is playing harmonica, but the harmonica music was all played by the late Norton Buffalo... although David may very well be able to play harmonica... I believe he was friends with Norton... I have an edited summary of certain segments of the movie on my channel... wonderful movie !
