    Thank you so much for this video. Basically covered all the ones and just looking at how it is fitting you a decision can be made. Watched a bunch of videos from Revzilla and Rocky Mountain but didn’t help. Keep up the good work man!!

    Bionic V2 here and it's super nice. Fits well. Bulky and warm protection plates but that's just how it is.

    Awesome review. I'm in the market for one of these for ADV / street use after watching a video from the dude from the RIDE Adventures channel where he breaks down what he wears on an ADV ride. I have always hated how much the pads in my jacket float around. I have larger, slightly baggy jacket to accommodate layering up/down per the weather. That means pads that float and never seem to be in the right spot. Seeing folks go this route with pads in a mid-layer makes so. much. sense.
    Seeing a side-by of each is awesome. You must have shelled out a pile on the credit card to get each sent to you to try like this.
    The video is dark, but there are plenty of good photos and marketing demos out there. What you are saying is what matters and the audio is 100%. Solid video. Thanks for posting it.

    Good summary! I've been wearing For Racing Titan armor jacket for a few years, but recently decided to change/upgrade. Thought the Fox was too warm in hot temps, really bulky, and didnt like the (weak-ass) zipper down the middle (I had the older model with the long back protector and integrated kidney belt...cut the back protector lower panel off as it went way too low and I could not get my pants to stay on without wearing suspenders).
    I went with chest/back/shoulder unit with separate elbow pads as these allow a heck of a lot more airflow. Liked the back protector and overall design on the Alpinestars Bionic, but the Leatt 4.5 Pro fit my slightly sunken chest better. Wear it over Klim Aggressor Cool long sleeve. If it's hot out, I wear an old Fieldsheer mesh/cordura jacket (for the pockets man!) or a mesh jersey. if it's cold, I layer up, topping it off with an old Axo cordura jacket with zip-off sleeves and lots of zipper vents. Just bought a Fly Terra Trek to try out.

    Nice dude! I'm pretty behind the times on getting proper protection. If our Baja trip showed me anything, after buying those ridiculous jeans in the blazing heat (IN November No Less!) is that I need some proper breathable protection! Thanks for putting this together, I'm sure I'll get one of these in time. Solid work bro.

      @@MobMoto I ordered a small Alpinestars Bionic action V2 and it showed up yesterday. It fits really well, but I wish the mesh part of the shirt was a bit longer to prevent the velcro strap from rubbing bare skin on my stomach occasionally. But otherwise, it's a perfect fit. Softer material than I expected too.

    I use a Leatt 3DF AirFit Body Protector under a Klim Tactical Pro jersey. The over top I have my Klim Carlsbad with the integrated armor taken out. Very comfortable and I have all the options. Leatt is level 2 on back and chest level 1 on shoulder and elbow. The tactical jersey provides a bit of extra skid protection and padding on the forearms.
    Of course if I’m not going off road, I use my Klim riding jeans with integrated CE 2 knees and an Alpinestars Hyper Drystar for my street only gear. With a CE 2 back protection added to the jacket.
    Another great video brother.

    Hi, how is the leatt holding up? Im thinking about removing the pads from my jacket and get this leatt instead for more protection offroad. Was it comfortable on longer trips? Was it hot compared to a padded jacket?

    • @MobMoto
      @MobMoto  3 года назад +1

      Its holding up pretty well. I am careful not to stretch it out when taking it off. Its feels good even on longer rides, and it breaths better than anything I've had, but it is sweaty under the chest and back pad because of the armor.

    The Alpine Bionic V2 is a lawsuit waiting to happen. No one reviewing this thing mentions that the chest protector DOES NOT stay in place, it moves up, WAY UP. As soon as you bend down and slightly forward (riding position on dirt bike) the chest protector comes up and jabs you right in the throat. The first time I bent down with this on I was shocked as I felt like someone karate chopped me right in my Adams apple. My throat still hurts 2 hours later as I'm writing this. I cannot imagine if I crashed and my head came forward, the chest protector could easily crush your windpipe. This should be pulled form the shelves immediately. Horrible design.
