It all came together for me when I was at a wedding, mingling with guests, when a really nice person said to me "you have such a quiet confidence about you". I've always been on the more quiet side when I'm around extroverted people but that never meant I was low in confidence. It just meant I liked listening, giving my opinion, and listening some more. You don't need to be bodacious and loud to prove you have confidence. In fact, I've seen lots of nervous people try to cover up their lack of confidence by over compensating by talking too much. Them saying that one thing sort of brought the entire thing together in my mind that I am confident, I'm just quiet.
@@stanleyparks Tyler, this is it! 🎯 Thanks for sharing. Those moments when someone reflects their experience of your presence can really help make things clear: even when you’re quiet, you can still have a strong impact. Thanks again for taking the time to comment. Great story. 🙏🏻
Introvert with social anxiety is my mix, my nervousness instills nervousness in others it's really interesting. The small insignificant social interactions is like base jumping for me terrifying and when it's over you feel so relieved but you can't show other people or they'll think you're a weirdo. Easy to conclude I have zero romantic experience (being a guy who's nervous is definitely a huge ick).
@@metrab8901 Thanks for sharing. I totally get how tough it can be to deal with social anxiety as an introvert. Even small interactions can feel overwhelming. Don't be too hard on yourself about the romantic side of things. It sounds like you’re being authentic - the right person will appreciate you as you are. First dates used to make me nervous, but over time and with repetition it became a pleasant and exciting experience. Don't give up. 😌 You're not alone in this! I plan to make more videos on this topic, so feel free to subscribe if you enjoyed my perspective.
Wow, loved this. I was amazed to realise the gaslighting around terminology describing how introverts present/interact. These terms to describe introverts are so entrenched I hadn’t questioned them before. Also, the ending and connection you made with Rene was amazing!
Keep creating content bro. I definitely resonate with a lot of the things you speak about in this video and what a magical experience for the universe to bring that guy at the end with his presence. I’m glad you kept that part in 💯🙏🏾
Yay at the guy at the end! Wish you had shown the dog 🐕. Pets are what get me personally through the hardest times and force me to get out of my own head. P.s. he’s never truly alone if he has a dog.
Honestly thought you were a popular RUclipsr until I saw the amount of subs. Grateful your video was recommended to me, obtained insights on the topic. Support from Russia🙏
Thanks for the comment, Frank! I'm still exercising my courage to get in front of the camera (particularly in public), but it gets better with time. If there are any particular sticking points in your journey to get out there, let me know - I feel compelled to make more content about my experience w/ introversion and I'm curious about what others are facing. Thanks again for watching!
@@tylerjkeenan love it man. Going to check out your other earlier videos. I love seeing how people transition from their older videos to newer ones. Can’t wait to see where you go ! 🍻
Ive always been an introvert and shy, however after turning 16 i started getting a lot more comfortable around people, the problem i still have to this day though is that i have no common interests and things i care about in general with the people around me. So im at a stage where i stay home day and night for months. Its honestly so exhausting wanting to someone to talk to but not having enough things to talk about for a relationship to build
George, thanks for sharing your experience. I’ve struggled with that, too. It’s not easy to find people we truly resonate with, particularly as introverts with vivid inner worlds. I may make a video to discuss how I’ve worked through this. Thanks again for sharing. If you're running into any other challenges, feel free to share and perhaps I can address it. Best of luck to you!

Selectively enthusiastic is an interesting characteristic.

Really loving the style of content. Thoughtful, open and honest. I can really see a lot of people benefiting from your words my man, keep going!
Aaron, thanks so much man. 🙏🏻 you inspire me!
This was a great one! As an introvert myself, I've learned to just be me and not worry what others think about be being "shy" "quite" etc
Love it. Thanks for taking time to watch and share!
@cardanoreview this is exactly how I’ve become. For me I think it was age. Just be you and real.

Wow. Such a great video brother. One of the best videos I've watched about being an introvert. Appreciate the time you put into this.

A fellow introvert here trying to be more outgoing. I can’t do the in front of the camera thing yet but love this video. Subscribed!😁🤙

I have no friends yet i have so many hobbies, and skills, yoyoing, knife sharpenning, kniofe throwing, MMA, gymnastics :( this summer is so lonely
I love you for this!! Wow! I wish I can meet you in person, or virtually and have a live chat together.
Aww, I really appreciate the love, Thandeka! Maybe someday we'll get that opportunity. Glad you resonate with my content, feels great to connect. :)
